Ever since he was a child, he dreamt of becoming a Mage and a Noble so he can help the people of the Kingdom as best as he could, most especially his fellow commoners. One day while strolling at the lake nearby the village, a chance encounter with a certain Lady of the Lake changed his life. He was gifted with her magic during their meeting, the Magic of Infinity. Said Magic is capable of allowing the Mage to comprehend any spell that he witnessed in just a blink of an eye. With the Infinity powers at his disposal, Ken Bruce is going to take the world by storm, by one magic after another while garnering the attraction of powerful Mages along the way.

Chapter 1 - Prologue: Brief Introduction to Magic and my lovely self.

Magic, to put it in simple definition, is the art of memory.

It requires a tremendous amount of mental fortitude for one to cast even the simplest of spells.

This is why Mages, users of Magic, are well-respected and worshipped throughout the entire land.

Being a Mage also means having great benefits that are equal to a member of the nobility. Thus, it's not farfetched if one said that Mages are somewhat a group of Nobles as well, with their very own set of social hierarchy.

A Mage is expected to memorize and learn every incantation, or other intricacies behind the spell that they are going to cast for it to work.

Even the simplest mistake in spell-casting might result in dire consequences ranging from the spell not working to even a disastrous backfire that may result in the Mage's injury or worst case scenario... Death.

Of course in every rule, there's bound to be an exception, an anomaly that would go against everything that most people believed in.

This is the story of such anomaly, in the personification of a legend known as the Magus of Infinity.

But Vivian Algrande's story... my story has already ended 500 years ago when I thwarted the Demon Emperor Asmodius and saved humankind as a result, but at the cost of my life.

Well, not really. Asmodeus used an ancient spell to seal my consciousness on a lake as a final "fuck you" before his demise.

Wow, talk about being petty, right? Hahaha, he really is an emotional bastard and won't even allow me to have my happy ending.

But Asmodeus, the ever battle-loving prick that he is, told me during his final breath that I could only release myself upon two conditions.

One is if I can find a successor and inherit my magic of Infinity upon them.

And two is if he was reincarnated to plunge this world into chaos once more.

It was so he can relish a battle with someone who possessed the magic of Infinity again.

And 500 years later, I felt a strange irregularity and evil, in the form of the shitty demon himself being born somewhere from far away.

And now, I needed someone to inherit my magic, preferably someone young at their prime.

Someone with a sheer amount of determination, headstrong, and proud.

But most importantly, someone with a kind heart yet also has the capacity to play dirty should the situation calls for it.

After all, being naive has no place in the harsh environment of the battlefield. One must be ready to make necessary sacrifices for the good of this land and its people, just like what I did.

Anyways, being stuck in a freaking lake for 500 years sure is a boring venture. I've seen people come and go, and the usual children and teens from the village nearby playing to their heart's content.

Heck, I've seen couples humping like dogs in heat, and drunken idiots revealing their unimpressive junk and pissing at the lake...

At me!!!!

On a crucial note, I believe I have found myself a candidate another 15 years later after Asmodius' rebirth.

Someone young and easy to manipu....

Encourage.

Yep, that's what I totally meant, ehehehe. It's not that I have a hidden agenda or anything, mind you.

It's a young man with messy black hair and blue eyes. He hailed from the village and was one of the young ones who would frequently come here and play some ball game of dodging with his friends.

And he sure is a pretty good dodger, I can give him that.

Although, his Mana level to be frank, is shit.

He does not even have what it took to be a Mage.

But once he received my magic, then those issues shall promptly resolved on its own.

Heck, I'll even add "Mana Sense" magic as part of the exclusive Algrande package, hehe.

Plus, he appears to be quite strong for his age, the fruits of his everyday labor perhaps as one of the farmers of the village.

And the way he moved suggested that he had some physical training, so that's a plus one on my book.

It's time that I reveal myself as the great lady of the lake and meet up with him.

Yep, the magic of Infinity is yours for the taking, boy. In exchange, you have a shitty demon to take down in the near future.

As soon as I get rid of the yellow piss from those drunken idiots that is.
