It's almost time for the festival. This used to be a very joyous and celebratory time for me, but Snow ruined that. When I died it was during that time. All far away kingdoms and noblemen came to see my demise.
I was ridiculed and humiliated by all of them. I look back now and feel nothing but rage and hatred for Snow, the dwarfs, the nobles, and especially that good for nothing prince. None of that would have happened without his help.
I glance toward the window as I hang pear slices from our ceiling. As they dry out, they will absorb all of the deceit and mischief from the room while also allowing room for love and passion.
I would feel crazy paranoid to see apples hang from the ceiling at night, so I chose a different but more meaningful fruit. Leo was slightly concerned over my abrupt dislike of the fruit. He always saw me stealing apples from my family's farm. I'd often share them with him because he'd look so tired from coming all the way here from the palace. I can look fondly back on those memories but.... to think of apples in any other light would be..... well I can barely stomach the idea.
Leo's been taking on a lot more work since I became Queen. Not because I'm unable to do work or that I'm not good at it, it's just that he can't be around me as much. We love each other but this waiting is gonna ruin us. It's not really his fault either, I've been trying to seduce him since our wedding night a few days ago. But he's held on strong despite my best efforts. I've tried different clothes, all the way to none at all. But nothing has worked.
I didn't want to have to resort to what i'm about to do..... but I can't help it. He drives me insane with lust and I know that I have that effect on him, but he still resists me.
I step off of the stool with my maid's help and I wipe my hands clean of the fruit juices. I walk out of our room and toward the dining room with my plan set in mind.
"Hello My King, I hope today has been full of pleasantries." I bow with a smirk.
"My beautiful rose, I hope the same for you. Let's hope you've run out of ideas already." He looks at me curiously and eyes my attire.
"I see you haven't gone as far as to show up naked to our dining table. That's good, I'd have had to kill every servant in the palace." He smirks and sits back down.
I sit in front of him with a smirk of my own. "Well then guess tomorrow's dinner plan is out. And I thought I could make the perfect meal." I sigh and pick up my cup of water.
"You jest Regina, continue on and I might just have to punish you." A peculiar glint flashes across his eyes and I flush.
We eat in silence with a heavy tension in the air. I look up and over at him to find him adjusting his collar.
"I'm done. Do you want to go to bed?" I stand up and start to walk around the table.
"No! Ugh- I mean I'll come up after I settle a few more documents."
"I could help? I've finished all of my Queenly work for today and tomorrow already." I smile sweetly at him and wink.
"You're definitely trying to kill me..." He mumbles so that I can't hear him. (But I do) "I don't need any help. But I do want you to be well rested. Tomorrow we both need to plan things out for the Festival, that way we can have fun and make a few trades."
"Okay, try not to be up too late, you need rest too. And I hate having to sleep alone." I walk around and kiss his cheek. He stares at me suspiciously as I walk away.
For my plan to work I need him to think that I've given up. But that's when I'll strike.
