Chapter 4 - THE DESTINY THAT NO ONE PREDICTED

[What type of person you really are that will determined by your behaviour and work.] The life lesson was just simple but have a great meaning to it. The morning of a new day welcomed the sun with open arms.

[A new day is a new beginning.]

As I got up my bed as I thought of it my self. The sun had already risen and the roads were lively. From the 10th floor I could see the whole view of the beautiful morning. I took care of my morning works and checked out from my hotel. I got in a taxi and told him to drive me to the near Siv Temple. After a 5 minutes of ride I reached the Siv Temple and then searched for Pandit Rajnath. The Pandit was an "Early bird", he had already done all of his daily works and was going to prepare for his breakfast.

"Namaste, Panditji."

The old Pandit looked at me and said cheerfully, "Son, You are early here. Why are you here? Do you need something or do you need other information?"

"No, Panditji. I am going to Haridwar today. So, I thought to greet you again before I leave." I explained him about why I was there.

The Panditji smiled and sighed as he realised something.

"Ohh, son you have a good personality. Never let others to defile or corrupt your soul." The Old Pandit advised me.

I didn't understand what he was saying, but I smiled and nodded at him as a gesture that I understood his intentions.

"After you finished your work at Haridwar you go and visit Kurukshetra."

"Ok, Panditji I will do that."

"Take care and be safe."

"Thanks you, Panditji."

As the conversation ended with him I bowed to him once again and took a farewell from him and started my next journey to Haridwar. It took me five hours to reach Haridwar. I searched for one hotel to stay in, but not a single room was free. All the rooms were already booked beforehand. I was wondering where could I stay for tonight.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" A police man asked me.

"I am here to attend the Kumbha Mela." I replied.

"Don't you know the news. That the Kumbha Mela is not going to celebrate because of the pandemic."

"No, I did not know about it."

"Go back to your home do not wander around."

"I am a tourist and I can not get a room for myself." I explained my situation to him.

"Go search for rooms somewhere or just for the time being stay at the temple." He advised me.

"Thank you, officer."

As I took his advice, I bid farewell from him and went to the near by temple. The temple is not a big one but it has a spiritual aura near him. I had Prasad as my lunch and rested there for sometime.

Night 8.00 PM

I heard a sound from nearby while I was sight seeing nearby. When I got the place where the sound was coming from I witnessed a great view. The sound of the worship of the GOD was dominating all the noises of the surroundings. The sound of the Worship made my soul woke up from my deep slumber. When I looked around, I became astonished with the beauty of the worship fire and Diyas (mud oil lamps) and the sound of the drums and bells with the synchronised sound like an Orchestra.

Those beautiful scene made all the surroundings spiritual. The aroma of the Ghrita (Ghee) and the smell of incense sticks made the atmosphere as like the spiritual garden of the heaven.

"Let's dip in to the river Ganga."

Some group of locals shouted and jumped into the river. That moment I was just watching the scene with a calm mind.

"Hey, why don't you also join us."

A boy of age 15 or so, asked me.

"No, I will pass it."

"But, mister you are looking as you want to join. Please join us it will be a great experience for you and you will enjoy it."

I tried to deny it. But he tried to persuade me so hard that finally I agreed with him and joined him to dip in the Holy River.

The water was cool and the waves were calm. The full moon in the night sky was shinning emitting it's silver light making the water of the river shinning like pearls. I had left all my belongings in the temple and joined the locals to dip in the river with my t-shirt and pants on. I was told by the locals to dip in the river for 7 times. I was told to do so because it is a ritual or an act of worship and giving thanks to the River that helps them a lot. I listened to them and dipped in the river for the first time. The experience is not bad. The water cleansing my body feels very good after a long hot and sweaty day.

But then the time, I dipped in the river for 7th time .....

"Ahhh....!"

The scream reaching all the direction echoed back to me. My body is in pain like l was working out in a gym for several hours. I opened my eyes and was surprised to see where the hell I was. I tried to remember what the hell was happened then. I remembered that I was dipping in the Ganga River and then I lost my consciousness. I was panicked because of the darkness around me. I looked around immediately and saw a ray of light from one direction. I started to follow the light and found the entrance for the world full of light. But my hope destroyed when I see the place that is in front of me.

"What is this Place!!!" I screamed in my mind.

The place was looking like a mountain range in twilight time. The trees were higher than any average trees I have ever seen. The place was covered in mild fog and has a sweet smell in the air. The weather is cold and the night was began to fall on the land.

I panicked by the scenery in front of me.

I have no idea where I am and neither I have any idea what to do.

"Where is this place? I have to return to the temple or search for people and have to ask where am I and how should I return back."

I jumped down from the rock towards to the ground and I saw that I was in a cave. I tried to look and search for a method to go back. I went back to the cave once again.

"What the hell. The cave was big just now but it is just a small cave. What to the hell is going on here." I just shouted in desperately.

I was hungry for the time being but I have no sense of hunger because of the situation before me. Then I started to plan to get out of the situation.

"Nothing will be happen if we just sit here. I have to go and find a near by village." I decided in my mind.

I started to move from that place and entered the forest in front of me. The night had already fallen and the moon light was the guide of my path. The hunger had begun to grow. My strength started to fallen apart. The hope to find a village has destroyed as the time passed by. Luckily I did not face any wild creatures from the beginning and just praying for my safety. My vision was getting blurry and I had neither the power nor the courage to shout aloud. I was also fearing the fact that I would let the wild animals hostile by my declaring my presence.

"Noooo!!!!"

I shouted desperately as I fell down from a cliff and shouted for help.

"Ohh, I am alive. Hahahaha... Why is this happening to me. My body is in pain. I think my arms are broken. Why do I deserve the punishment. What did I have done to deserve this." The dark thoughts are clouding my mind as I began to fall asleep on the grass. The 19 years of my life is playing in front of me as I try to remember what I have done in my life.

"So, this is how you feel when you are going to die. I think after death I can rest peacefully." The thoughts were echoing in my mind.

"Live your life more freely and enjoy it fully."

I started to wonder why the voice of the boss started to repeat in my mind.

"I am going to die now, but I wish if I can have lived a longer. If I have another chance to have a next life I will live my life as a whole."

As the vision of my eyes are become darker I start to fall in the final sleep of my life.
