"You're arrogant for a mere E-Rank, young man! Let me tell you who I am before I break your legs! My name is Fenix, and I am Wild Ranger's Party Leader and a B-Rank Adventurer! Let me show you the difference between our status and strength with this!"
The arrogant, who introduced himself as Fenix, stated as he charged forward at Ryan's place, and using his brute strength, he throws a punch at him and Ryan manages to evade the attack as he step backward three steps away from him.
Since Fenix didn't use his weapon, Ryan also didn't use his sword either as he immediately sheathed the sword back to its scabbard while avoiding another attack but after that, he manages to confront him with his fist too.
Both fists clashed with each other and both of them are having no sign to back down as they fight with all their strength.
The spectators around the area where two adventurers are fighting began to whisper with one another as they watch the fight in front of them.
"Another round? Geez! This is a common thing for them."
"Did you guys heard what that man named Fenix said earlier? The famous adventurer, Lady Overland seems like took that other man as her companion? It's widely known that she never takes someone whenever she had a job mission."
"It's also known for the fact that she is a solo adventurer, and she never tried to join any party or create her own. For sure, all of us know about that."
"Lady Overland is different from the other adventurers that we have encountered so far. She seems cold and indifferent to others, but I know she's the kind of person who would lend a hand to help others, no matter who they are."
"If that Fenix said that the other man is Lady Overland's companion then, it means… she's here in the city?!"
"If that is the case then, where is she?"
Whispers from the spectators within the area kept on flooding and the center of the gossip were either about the two adventurers fighting or about Scarlette's whereabouts.
Scarlette, on the other hand, still hiding within the corner and she continues to keep her presence unknown to everyone as she watched the fight of those two adventurers at the center and observed Ryan's movement.
'His combat abilities are top-notch, and he can easily dodge that brute fighting force coming from Fenix, as expected from him. He never failed to amuse me, and it seems that he thought that I wasn't around within the area that he revealed his fighting capabilities…'
Scarlette thought and after that, she felt someone's presence within her range, but she didn't faze as she recognized whose presence that was, and it's none other than the Marquis himself.
'I truly wonder how he always managed to track my presence that was hidden within the crowd? Maybe because he is a Swordmaster himself?'
At the end, like how she usually does… ignore him.
She felt the Marquis' presence that went over at her side and said; "That companion of yours is amazing. He had the fighting abilities that were matched for being a Knight, no, although it's vague but I could feel that he might be awakened as a Swordmaster as well."
The Marquis whispered to her and the crimson-haired woman just nodded in agreement.
'Of course, I know that Zenon. After all, that is pre-determined for him to become a Swordmaster, but…'
"However, I could also sense that there is something shackling with him and for some unknown reason, he remained stagnant on his current stage…"
The crimson-haired woman looked at her side when the Marquis stated those words and smirks under her veil as she clicked her tongue silently.
'Impressive. He managed to detect that as well?'
Scarlette thought and the crimson-haired woman noticed that the Marquis frowns as he looked at his front where the fight happens.
For that moment, the crimson-haired woman seems like she knew what the Marquis was trying to think about.
Before the man could even speak, the crimson-haired woman cut him off and said in a dull tone; "Remember my words, Zenon. I'll take care of that man by myself as I needed something from him. If you recognize him, pretend that you didn't know it."
The Marquis snapped from his thoughts when he heard the crimson-haired woman's statement and then, he looked over at his side.
"B-but… Scarlette! T-that man is…!" – That Marquis' statement were cut off when the crimson-haired woman speaks.
"Don't make me repeat myself again. I know this should be yours to taken care of, however, may I remind you that you have your own mission that needs to be prioritized first, right?"
The Marquis' lips tighten in silence when Scarlette reminded him about his own task and at that point, with no other choice but Jeffrey just complied with her request and the Marquis knew what the crimson-haired woman said earlier is reasonable enough for him not to involve in this matter.
And besides, the Marquis trust Scarlette's words and he knew that the crimson-haired woman isn't someone who would take this situation lightly, no matter how personal this seems to be.
So, for now, he would just stay on the sidelines and wouldn't involve himself in this matter and let Scarlette handle this.
He sighed and then cast his gaze back at the familiar person at the scene and couldn't help but think about the reason why that person is here.
'There is no reason for him to be here. From what I remember, his master doesn't seem the type of person who would let his trusted retainer to send him into expedition or something.'
However, since Scarlette told him that he should stay away from this matter then, the Marquis didn't have a choice but to listen.
Scarlette, on the other hand, sighed in relief as she managed to convince the Marquis not to involve in this matter since he is on a secret mission and the crimson-haired woman forbids him to show himself because it would greatly affect his reputation within the noble society.
