Suddenly, a mature woman's voice could be heard. Hearing that voice, I was kinda curious about how would Elina's mother's look like.
"Elina? Are you there..."
In my own mind, I picture her as a calm and kind woman because she's a high priest of Auslosha after all. Also, she must be really pretty just like her daughter, Elina here.
Elina mother must be-
"Yei, are you coming along? I do want to introduce you to her." Elina said that as she was already out from her couch.
I snapped as I quickly replied, "Sure..."
With that the both of us head to the front of the house, it somehow excites me... To be honest, I myself like milfs. Not solely on looks and sexiness even though it's crucial. But for the most part, I just like mature women.
Mature woman is the best in my opinion as they're the type that had a lot of experience in life and wouldn't behave like the young girls.
When I finally saw Elina's mother in person, I was so shocked to see how young she is. As I had expected her to have some wrinkles on her face...
To think that it's happening here in another world. I always found it weird how in anime, mothers mostly don't age that much and look like they're in their mid-twenties. But to see it right now... it's surely a shocking truth.
Well, the woman that sells the bread was also looking fairly young when I think about it...
Elina's mother had this calm face and her hair was short. She's wearing the cloth of a priest... She's indeed pretty, this makes me wonder how Elina's father would look. He must be quite a charmer to be able to get a wife as pretty as her.
"There you're Elina, why wouldn't you be at the temple-" Elina's mother stopped after she saw me. "Who's this girl?"
"Mother... this is my friend, her name is Yei." Elina introduces me to her mother.
I know it's my queue to say something but I don't know how to do it. It's because I don't know what to call Elina mother...
Should I call her auntie, that's weird. Madam? No... it wouldn't suit her at all. Maybe I should just act surprised as that could- Nah it wouldn't work as it would be too weird to do it right now.
"I see... was she the reason why you didn't come to the temple this evening Elina?" Her mother said that once again.
I then remember the words that Elina told me when we met in the town this afternoon. She said that she had no work to be done as it was all finished.
To think that I believe her words... I should have realized it sooner than an acolyte surely had a lot of work to do in the temple. There's no way they had a lot of free time.
"Yes..." Elina said that.
Hearing that answer, I'm sure Elina would be scolded for leaving her work at the temple. But again, her mother was a high priest of Auslosha, she should have compassion for this sort of event. As I'm sure a high priest would be a person that could forgive others no matter what the person does.
"Could you tell me what's the reason?"
"Well my friend here is hungry so I wanted to cook her a meal... I'm showing her my thanks for helping Tim to get the Flower of Eve." Elina said that.
The moment Elina mentions the Flower of Eve, the expression of her mother changes from calm to surprise. She began to glance at me up and down...
Seeing that, I think I could guess what's on her mind. Well... it's a norm already as people expect me to be weak and it's kind of a shock to learn that I'm actually powerful based on my appearance only.
"That's impressive, so that means your friend here is an adventurer then?"
"You would be surprised to know that Yei isn't an adventurer, she's simply a traveler with no status as an adventurer at all."
Me? A traveler... I suppose that's an appropriate title for me right now. As I'm not a citizen nor something like that in this town yet.
"For a traveler, that's certainly impressive as they're known to be weak. I suppose your friend here must be quite a high level right?"
"She is... Yei here is on level 60. Not everyone reaches that level..."
There Elina goes, boasting about my lies. I suddenly felt regret about lying in the first place about my level. All of this would just make it very hard for me to confess the truth when the time finally comes.
I'm sure the citizenship or adventurer exam requires me to get my level check by the Eyes Crystal. So at that time, I am sure everyone would know about my lies that I'm still on level 21.
Thinking about that somehow makes me fear that future. I wonder how everyone would react after knowing the truth. I'm sure Elina would leave me and wouldn't be my friend...
Rumors then would spread that I'm a liar this would make me very to establish my leveling service here. As the townspeople wouldn't believe any word that I said anymore.
I really think I made a mistake from the beginning...
"Level 60?! She is!" Elina's mother said that in a pretty large voice. Her calm demeanor breaks as she's in a huge shock at the moment.
Is level 60 really that big of a deal in this world? Because everyone that learns about that would surely react differently. Do most of the people in this world rarely reach that level... I doubt that's the case as I'm sure there's an adventurer or hero of some sort that surpassed that level already.
Elina's mother immediately approaches my hand and takes my hand. She looks at me very closely at the moment.
