His grip tightened, staring intently at the black-haired girl who still wouldn't look at him. Was it so terrible that Caroline wouldn't look at him again?
No, he couldn't give up. Wasn't the reason he came here because he wanted to see Caroline, wanted to know the whereabouts and condition of the girl. He even thought about going back to being the old Luis if that was necessary because he didn't want Caroline to get sick alone.
"Want a story?" Luis asked in his soft voice, releasing his grip on Caroline's wrist but he chose to enter his cousin's apartment.
The fishy smell of blood wafted into his senses, since the door opened he could see broken glass strewn on the floor and pools of dried blood. He felt like he wanted to hug Caroline right now, but he couldn't because Caroline had told him not to care about her so much anymore.
