Chereads / Princess Lycan / Chapter 45 - Bond of Destiny

Chapter 45 - Bond of Destiny

The small but warm and cozy wooden house is where they are now. Both were sitting quietly on a wooden chair for two. Caroline felt uncomfortable because she wasn't that close to Frey but she held it in.

Not long after that, there was the sound of footsteps approaching, the woman who was Livina's mother was carrying a tray with two cups of warm tea on it. She smiled revealingly towards the beautiful-looking Caroline.

Caroline realized that there was a woman, she still didn't know what was on her forehead but Frey said there was the same pattern as that woman on Caroline's forehead. The woman's hand reached out to give her a small mirror to help Caroline see her forehead.

Bead Caroline called, shocked at what she had just seen. The pattern was very similar to that of Livina's mother and Caroline instantly revealed the dark purple bead "you've got it, and that's what you get"

The woman smiled glancing at Frey who began to enter into Caroline's destiny without her knowing it. Caroline didn't care whether her secret was revealed or not. Even now Frey was the only one who knew everything.

Not Jennifer or Luis but Frey, a stranger she met by accident.

"You two have a great bond"

The woman chuckled seeing the surprised look on Caroline and Frey's face, both of them immediately looked at each other leaking into each other's eyeballs. The woman's words became an echo in their minds until Frey rose to stare coldly at Caroline.

Caroline must have been confused, had she done anything wrong? Why did Frey change? What is this? Even Livina's mother was also aware of Frey's clear difference.

"Didn't you guys notice!?" the woman could not be trusted if it turned out that fate had not yet been revealed, even though she could see the threads supporting each other on their little fingers.

Is it because Caroline's Werewolf form hasn't appeared yet so the two of them haven't realized it yet. Or there is something that makes both of them do not know this fact.

"Mom..! What do you mean Mom?" Caroline asked, she didn't know and wanted to know what she meant by saying such ambiguous things.

"You Mates!"

Both fell silent. Frey clasped her hands tightly, he leaked out at Caroline's blue bead. A voice sounded in his mind making him unable to believe this.

'You are Mate'

It was her inner wolf's words and Frey couldn't help but fall silent at the fact he had just learned. The memory of Jennifer's words made him even more scared it was Jennifer who knew it from the start.

The woman knew that Caroline was her Mate and that's why Jennifer said something strange. Frey's breath began to fall apart, her chest felt tight. All those memories forced in creating a real explosion of facts.

"Frey, are you all right?"

Caroline got up, she walked trying to approach Frey who looked strange after hearing that fact. Even though that fact also made him confused, Frey was worse than him. Caroline's hand tried to grab Frey's shoulder, but Frey immediately jerked her hand away with a look of disapproval.

Frey stepped back, looking at the witch before turning back to Caroline. This was real and Frey couldn't accept it he wouldn't be able to have Caroline by his side.

"Don't touch me!!"

"Get away from you!!"

This was not the Frey that Caroline knew, this was completely different and Frey immediately left, leaving Caroline silent where she was. Frey was in pain, her body rejecting all her senses. It felt like someone was trying to destroy every blood cell in his body.

His footsteps were getting faster ignoring everything that was in front of him. The gazes of the other ice mages immediately turned to him, he was right in the center of the village now. Did he follow Caroline because of the bond, but why didn't he notice in the first place.

Even his inner wolf just stood still when he saw Caroline, wait! Was he the one who helped Caroline out of her deepest desire too? Not! That definitely couldn't be the case, he rejected his Mate and that was how it should be.

But why? Why did this happen? Is it because of fate? Or is this all just a mistake, Frey doesn't know! He doesn't know.

He should have understood what Jennifer said that day! He should have known why he was so curious about Caroline. Turns out it was because of a bond they had. Frey's body fell, her breath caught looking up at the sky that was starting to get late.

"Why didn't you tell me!!"

The Werewolf within Frey just covered her face, he had no intention of explaining it. Because he knows, in the end, his Master will reject Mate's presence by his side. And there was no point in him explaining everything, he had tried his best in the beginning now it was the end of Frey's decision.

Frey kept screaming for an explanation from her inner woof, no answer, again and again, no answer "tell me!! What did I do all this time because of that bond!

'Stop, no answer for you'

Finally, he opened his voice, looked at Frey before hiding his face again. He's too lazy to deal with his Master's ego, maybe later when his ego starts to decline it will be better. He sighed before dropping his ears trying not to care what his Master said.

Frey squeezed her hair tightly, her cold blue beads looking even colder. There was no sign of him wanting to find out more, as it was a matter of course Frey immediately got up with a laugh as a closing.

"Fine, if that's what you want. Then we'll never see him again!"

The Werewolf within Frey immediately closed her eyes tightly, in the end, this was what happened. He does not! But they will both be hurt by rejecting the presence of Mate in each other. If he could wish otherwise, would that be possible? But it seems that it is impossible for them.

He laughed, finding it funny at his Master who had not changed at all. If only he could fight back he would run to where Caroline is. Their mate turns out to bring a destiny that is bigger and more terrible.

'I do not care!'

Finally, he gave up staring blankly at the figure of his Master laughing in satisfaction. If he was destroyed then his Master was also destroyed, and he also believed that his Master would not be able to survive the pain for long.
