The sound of a car engine is like music on a street full of people. Cars with various brands and colors that became a racing place for Caroline and Luis. They both joined a club to have fun. Caroline gaze fell on a group of girls in clothes that lacked material.
They were all humans, and those who were here didn't know their status. Except as friends in the club, and Caroline immediately greeted the two girls who became close friends.
Of course, friends here do not mean that they can be said to be good friends. They are both friends just for fun, not for a bond "how are you" Caroline said approaching them by Luis behind her.
"Oh.. Lucy"
Pseudonyms are a mandatory requirement in this club, even Luis also has his own pseudonym. If Caroline was Lucy then Luis is Jens. There is no particular reason they have that pseudonym, they just feel attracted and like it.
No one even knows the origin and family of the club members there other than themselves. And that's what benefits Caroline and Luis at this club.
"Your boyfriend is becoming more handsome"
Caroline laughed glancing at Luis who clearly heard the girl whisper. As a descendant of werewolves having sharp hearing it is their luck. If you ask why Luis is called Caroline lover, of course that is Luis wish.
He didn't want any bad guy to approach Caroline, and he introduced herself as a lover from the start. And Caroline looks surprised at first but she's getting used to being called lovers from her friends at the club.
"Oh.. Yes, who will be my partner later?" asked Caroline to change the subject.
"Oh.. You're not going to compete with your boyfriend again, didn't you lose yesterday? That's why you came here again?!"
Caroline just smiled losidedly, glancing at Luis. She seemed annoyed at the words of a woman in front of him. But this has become a habit here, so there was no reason for Caroline to be offended. Even Luis had to hold back his laughter even though he had to get a sharp glare from Caroline.
"My girlfriend is indeed forgetful, calm down we will race later"
Luis stepped forward to putting his arm around Caroline's shoulder, who still looked annoyed, though Caroline just gave in and smiled broadly at the woman in front of her.
"Ho.. Ho.. Then good luck Lucy"
The two women blinked and immediately left the pair of fake lovers.
"You're upset huh.." Luis asked, staring at Caroline blue eyes who was looking at him coldly.
"Just shut up!!" said Caroline in an annoying manner.
Even Luis laughed at his cousins behavior which was always funny in his eyes. The pretentious and cold attitude that Caroline always shows is just a lie. Caroline is nothing more than a spoiled girl who wants affection and love. But Luis wasn't sure Caroline would be the same after she was dumped tomorrow.
There was a nagging feeling about it but Luis could only hope that Caroline didn't change a thing. He still wanted to see his spoiled and sweet cousin on him. Say that he's selfish but that he feels useful as Caroline cousin just because he can make her smile and laugh.
Because Luis knows that he is the only one who is very close to Caroline, and he is the one who becomes Caroline stick. Don't say this is love that crosses the line, it's just that Luis does this because he sees it all.
The treatment of Caroline parents seemed to think Caroline was not valuable at all. He who had no parents felt that Caroline was not much different than him. It's just a feeling of affection between two people who live in this cruel world.
"Okay.. Okay.. What if we prepare it looks like a lot of people are waiting for our match"
Luis took Caroline to their car which was already at the starting line. Everyone cheered and Caroline immediately showed a lopsided smile that made Luis chuckle and throw a kiss on Caroline cheek. The cheers grew louder but Caroline looked straight at Luis.
Even so, Luis laughed and went straight to his black sports car. Caroline snorted and got into her dark blue sports car. A girl headed to the middle of their car with a flag. A woman gave a wink to both of them.
"Ready!!"
The two immediately signaled that they were ready.
"One.."
"Two.."
"Three.. Go.."
The sound of clapping was the start of the two of them driving their respective sports cars. Caroline felt happy even she smiled glancing at Luis' car which was next to her.
The two cars overtook each other but Caroline was more agile to get Luis into trouble. But Luis is not his name if he can just give in, even though they are cousins but still both of them are always fair in this matter. There are no friends on the streets.
And these two will risk everything here. Not only a victory but a pleasure both of them. Again Luis was able to overtake Caroline with his speed. The straight road made them look excited, until they were faced with a turn.
Not a sharp turn but able to make Caroline feel difficult just because Luis blocked her path. Caroline was annoyed but after the turn she was speeding again, and Luis burst out laughing at that. The finish line is in sight and the two are accelerating their vehicle.
And Luis kept trying to block Caroline path but Caroline didn't run out of ideas, she must have memorized her cousins racing style. She pressed the brakes on his car, confusing Luis until Caroline pulled the lever again. The dark blue car sped past Luis black car.
Luis was surprised when Caroline gave him a triumphant smile. Especially when Caroline car was right in front of the Luis car. The two crossed the finish line with Caroline first. Caroline looked down at Luis who had just came down. Cheers and applause fill the place.
"Lucy, you're the greatest!!"
Caroline just smiled at that until Luis came closer and put his arm around her shoulder again.
"Of course my girlfriend is great" Luis said making Caroline look at him tired of her cousins attitude.
Again Luis acted as if nothing had happened, whether it was just his feelings or if Luis was actually like this. But Caroline didn't care, because she was happy to be able to beat Luis again. And she thinks this is enough even though he will eventually be dumped by his family tomorrow.
'Yes, this is enough!'
