After a few months of us living in harmony and peace, the elves is now truly blended with the other races, the young elves can now hunt in the forest using the her inheritance, I am sure that elven girl is happy knowing that her combat knowledge learned by many young elves and also pissed because white elves can use the skills she cultivate for a very long time.
"Your Majesty, why you never expanded the town?" Luna asked when she saw me walking on the city. "Is there a need? everything can stay as it is, it`s best that way, after all too much land is hard to handle, you guys don`t over hunt right? It will hurt us after all in the long run." I said and she shook her head.
"No, your majesty, the younglings never over hunt, though they fight other beast, but they only hunted what we need." Luna said and I nod. "Then that`s fine by me." I said and I look at the gloomy sky and so does Luna.
"Winter is coming." She said and I knitted my brow. "I see, I wonder why the sky is gloomy all the time. And those animals appear rarely, I guess everyone is preparing on a long hibernation?" I said and she nod again.
"Yes, your majesty, winter in the Abyss Forest is quite harsh, but with the Minakawa`s flame, I guess winter right now will be quite relax." She said and I look at the Minokawas patrolling the sky.
Anyway about their little research, they finally get a fruitful discovery and can use few low level inheritances, although it`s a small step, since they are happy, I don`t question in a lot.
A person know all the skills of any race can`t question the little baby steps from the others after all, and for the first time I saw the first fall of the snow.
"Soon the whole Abyss Forest will be filled with snow, it`s quite a scene you know your majesty, it`s a scenery that no other place can compared with, but no matter how beautiful it is it`s thorn never been hidden, many monster hordes will happen in many place here in the Abyss Forest." Luna said and I touch the snow that fall from the sky it melted fast though.
"Let`s all relax for now, and enjoy the scenery." I said and they all smile and nod. "This is also part of the survival of the fittest, in any world, and time it never changed, let us stay idle and saw the old passed down their baton to the young." I said and sit on the grassy land and watch as snow started to fall from the sky.
"Winter come soon spring will also be here, it`s where the life start to bloom." I said, since I was a child I am always fascinated by this season changing, it`s the cycle of life after all, enjoy everything unfolds is so amazing.
"We dread that those winter wyvern will start hunting their food, should we hunt them before they start hunting?" Lunari said and I shook my head. "Let them, shoo them away if they go near to our city, let the Abyss take control of their life and death for now." I said and they all nod.
I am not interested on those mindless oversized reptiles, I`ve seen them countless times and other than they can fly like the dragon they are as stupid as your home lizards, and their meat is not that tasty at all, it`s quite disgusting.
We also installed chimneys in all houses, after all the Eternal Flame from the Minokawa can simply burn their houses down, since we have many stocks of food in our shelves we don`t need to hunt or take care of the field, of course we plant some winter crops that could take care on it`s own, so all of us stay in our own roofs and do what we want to do.
"Your Majesty, the people from the human town want to invite you to their annual winter festival." Marina said and all the trauma came back to me, I rather fight the gods and demon lords at the same time rather than visiting that place.
"They also want to see their guardian and blessed them, also I should stop calling it town now, it`s a genuine city now, they even rename the city as the Guardian City, many pilgrims also walk the lands to live in that city and convert in the Guardian Religion." Marina said, oh unholy god are you that weak that can`t stop this fools?! they even convert others now.
"The City is prospering, this is the only city that don`t have a soldier, but even so since many Minokawa, Abyssal Wolves and Batibat roaming that land, no one even dare to make a mess to that city, not to mention, the Serpentines stay sometime in the Guardian Lake swimming all day." Marina said smiling, oh god even my people is enjoying that city.
"What so good at that many of you go there time to time?" I asked but she just smile. "Maybe because they gave us free foods and treat us as their guardians, in exchange from our protection they give food or items in the shrine that we collected and send to the our town, not to mention they are all good at cooking now, the mainstream job of the Guardian City is Farming and Cooking, the others is nothing but secondary or worse." Marina said, cooking?! I am interested on that thing.
"Alright let`s go!" I said and stand from my throne, although I am breaking my own word not to step on that cursed land, for the sake of a better food I rather go and break my harmless promise to myself.
In a few minutes, me, Marina and the little pup appear near the lake and every single farmers look at my direction and look at the statue, remind me later to bring down all the statues and the shrine later! I am dead serious to bring it down!
"Lord Sauron is here!" I don`t know who that mother fucker who shouts that but the whole city suddenly become abuzz on that and run to this direction, the old bandit and the mayor now wearing white and black rob, and they look elegant, is this the priest of the Guardian City?! their uniform is quite dope!
"Lord Guardian!" The Mayor and the Old Bandit bow down and I nod. "I heard there is a festival, I am not interested in your events but since you are all here to welcome us thank you." I said and for the love of all unholy please I am begging all of you to not bow down it`s very embarrassing you know!
"Please Lord Guardian, heal my daughter!" A Woman said holding a baby human child, I look at the child. "What`s wrong with this child?" I asked and the mother and the father both shook their head.
"We go in different cities even the royal cities around the world but our child is said to have an incurable sickness, all the doctors and healers told us that she is lucky to survived all this time with this unknown sickness." The Mother said I look at the baby`s pale skin and I think it`s not a sickness.
"It`s a curse." I said and Marina also nod and everyone was shock, this family can go to extreme length on travelling in different places to cure this baby, it means they have great connection in the human world, it`s great to have connection to this family.
"Let me have the child." I said and take the baby from the mother and carry it, for the first time in my life I carry a baby in my hand, it`s so fragile and soft, it`s like if I added little bit strength in my hand I will crashed it to dust.
"Child, your the very first baby I ever touch, I never imagine that I will carry a fragile creature like you in my whole life, and since by some chances we both meet let me give you a gift." I said and pointed my free hand on her forehead and smile.
"Child, forfeit your ordinary life, from this day on any sickness and curses will never befall you, strength of a million man be with you also, walk this land the the true heroine!" I said soon the child glow and a halo appear in her head, I don`t cure her pale skin it suit her perfectly after all, she start to cry and a black smoke appear and I grab it.
"Whoever you are, whatever you are this child is now under me, if you touch even a tiny bit of her hair you are good as dead, I know you don`t believed me, so from here I will take one of your eye as the reminder from me." I said and crash the black smoke and give the child back to her mother and she was crying along with her husband.
"Thank you, how can we repay you Lord Guardian?" The Father asked and look at the small family. "There is no need to repay me, I only did that on a whim, protect her at all cost, she is now a candidate to become a Heroic Emperor of the Human Race, it means if she doesn`t change and follow her path she will reach a title only one in the human race can have, a person who stand at the top of all humanity." I said and go down from the the Little Pup. When I finish saying that all humans gasp in awe and they all kneel ones again.
"Make no mistake, this is not a blessing but a whim from me, the day she also pointed her weapon to my people is also the day I will take her life." I said and walk inside the city, my people who go here also bow down to me.
"We will remember this kindness to the Guardian Lord, if you need anything, please contact us and we will do whatever it takes to do that, we are from the distinguished Nolan Family, we hold a great trader company name Nolan Trade and we also own a kingdom in the east." The Father said and I just nod and leave the sight and sit next to a coffee shop dedicated only to my people, soon people started getting their sick family member to be blessed but I only heal them.
"Enough disturbing my peace, I am here to enjoy the Festival." I said and to a mass healing, I really gone soft, in the past I will slay all those who bother me but now?
I watch the buzzling city from where I was standing, the old fountain in the Town`s Center has now a statue of me, I really want to destroy this statue, I look at the Old Bandit and the Mayor and look at the statue.
"Never pray to me or any idol, this statue never represent a god! but a falls belief." I said but the two priest simply nod and look at the statue. "Lord Guardian, this statues is not we pray but you who we pray too, this is only a reminder for us to always stay to belief, not like those falls idol in different religion, you came to us and aide us, this city will never reach it`s current state if it`s not for you our Lord Guardian, so please, we are begging you to let us pray to you." The Mayor said and I only sneer.
"Suit yourselves, if... By any chance you used my name to different purpose other than to pray with, then I myself will send this city to it`s doom, as I said I am not a god, and even if I am a god, gods are selfish little brats after all, they do things on a whim and their amusement." I said and they both nod, and I continue my coffee, yes this city has it`s natural beauty, but in my eyes as long as those statue stand tall, this city is nothing but a accursed town!
