Then she got to a close distance to him, and for that second, she met eyes with him as a single thought crossed her head.

"Argh!" At the moment he screamed out of pain, she used that time to dash towards the carriage and jumped on the driver's seat.
Her heart was racing with fear as her hands gripped the rein tightly and then, she heard something that made her stop still.

It was so loud that she couldn't feel her ears for some while after it went off.
