[ New Entry has two talents. Scaling Difficulty... ]

[ First Floor has been changed. Welcome to The Abyss. ]

Raki's eyes opened as the messages ran through his head. The sight that he was greeted with caused his face to turn pale.

"Ngh..."

He quickly bent down, vomiting on the floor as images of the dead bodies in front of him ran through his mind. The small puppy by his side let out a concerned yip as she watched him.

As his mental state stabilized, he forced himself to get up. The hallway was filled with torn limbs and scraps of flesh lying in pools of blood strewn across the floor.

Raki quickly scooped up the puppy, putting her on his head.

[ Ding! Due to the harsh conditions of the First Floor, the Tower has granted User with a gift. ]

A dagger appeared in Raki's right hand in a flash of light, causing the puppy on his head to bark in surprise.

As Raki continued to walk down the hallway, the mass of limbs on the floor began to increase, until he reached a door. It stood at a height of 10 meters high, the faces embedded on it showing various emotions.

In front of the doors stood a single grotesque figure.

Its soulless eyes focused onto Raki as it let out a screech, causing him to cover his ears, blood trickling through his fingers.

"Ngh..."

The creature tried to rush at him, but was held back by a dark black chain, causing its body to slam into the ground as it scrabbled towards the boy.

Raki was hit with a feeling of nausea as he watched the creature, causing his throat to burn with the taste of bile.

Something urged him to watch the creature. He knew that if he couldn't handle this he would not live to see the next day.

His determination slowly grew, bit by bit as the boy watched the creature.

The puppy on the top of his head jumped off, barking at him as she ran back towards where he came from.

"Tch...so troublesome..."

Raki quickly chased after his puppy. When he caught up with her, she looked up at him, a hint of pride in her eyes.

As he observed the area where she led him, Raki's mouth curved up into a smile. The puppy had discovered an offshoot of the original hallway.

The path he was observing was covered in a layer of purple grass, glowing lantern like plants hanging from the ceiling.

A large amount of purple skinned creatures sifted through the grass, their deformed hands flashing in and out as they caught black skinned bugs and threw them into their mouths.

Ominous crunching sounds emanated from the creatures as Raki watched them. The puppy by his side stared at the creatures warily, her ears flattening as she observed them.

Raki's hand unconsciously tightened on his dagger, his eyes reflecting a cold glint as he lowered his body, concentrating on the creature's neck.

As he slowly crept up behind the creature the world slowly faded away, leaving only the creature in his vision.

In one swift motion, he cut the creature's throat, severing its windpipe as he dragged its body behind a patch of grass.

[ Ding! killed. ]

"Devour."

A black whirlpool of energy surrounded Raki as he spoke, his eyes turning an ominous shade of black that seemed to absorb light.

< Adds 1 point to all stats, and improves perception. >

< Will give a warning if danger is detected. >

A hint of elation appeared in Raki's eyes as he read the skill's description. His head turned towards the other creatures as he watched them, before silently sneaking up on one and disposing of it.

Raki quickly chose as his talent took effect.

< Allows for finding food and water from unlikely sources. >

A change began to occur in Raki's body as he gained a new sense that allowed him to "see" highlighted objects, ones that contained food and water.

Raki's eyes glowed as he saw this change. A seed of confidence began to sprout in his heart. He clenched his fist unconsciously as he looked down at his puppy.

"I'll survive."
