'Freaking heck, I hate this family.'

Yep, that's how we're starting this.

These were the blunt thoughts of a young man who appeared to be around the age of fifteen, his skin was slightly pale, though not a sickly pale. Having slightly messy straight black hair along with a pair of striking crimson red eyes, the crimson colouration appearing slightly dull. He was quite the attractive young man.

His current attire consisted of a simple tight white t-shirt along with sleek black long pants, and he also appeared to be wearing black running shoes to go along with it. Looking closer, you could see that he was wearing a silver belt and also had what appeared to be a black wristband that was around his right wrist, also having a black watch on the same wrist.

While it may prove to be shocking, this young man was someone who had been reborn in this mysterious world. He had died in his old world due to a certain medical condition that greatly affected the amount of time he had to live, and he honestly did like his old life. While he never tried to pursue any romance due to his condition, he had many friends and was loved by his family.

Though, it seems that he wasn't as fortunate with his relationships here in this world.

The family that he had been born into was the Alister family, and the members were anything but accepting. Speaking of which, his name was now Silver, with his old name back in his old world being Xavier. It took a bit for him to adjust to his new name, but he managed it over time.

He was the second youngest in the family, and most of the family members weren't kind at all to him, showing sign of affection. If he was honest, he didn't care at all if they did or not at this point. He just accepted the fact and pushed on.

If they chose to hate him, then whatever.

His mother and father, though he wouldn't ever acknowledge them as such, were strict and also at times rather abusive whenever they wanted to be, mostly to him though. He had two older siblings which were also twins, one being a male and the other female. They were similar to his parents, but were more intent on abusing him mentally and physically.

More physically though since he had never shown any sign of being affected mentally by their abuse, that was just how much he couldn't give a shit about them. They could abuse him as much as they wanted, he would never acknowledge it, so they would never get the satisfaction of seeing him in despair.

Hell would freeze over thousands of times before they will ever see him shed a tear.

Finally, he had a younger brother that was ten, and he honestly didn't know what to think about him. He knew very well that his 'mother' and 'father' cherished the kid a lot and spoiled him greatly, much like his two older 'siblings'. He had no true opinion on the kid since Silver never really interacted with him. He had probably only ever spoken to him a maximum of five times over the ten years that kid had been alive, and they weren't long conversations.

He really didn't talk much with anyone in his family.

What a great relationship he has with his family.

Speaking of relationships, it wasn't just with his family that his social interactions suffered. He didn't even talk with other people outside since he knew that if he were to become friends with them, he knew that his family would try to use them to in some way to abuse him. If that did ever happen, he would surely give them a handing.

Actually, he would have done that a long time ago, though he refrained. He needed to be patient and wait things out for now since the time right now was not right, he needed to wait for the right moment that he could finally ditch this hell hole. He needed to exploit what he could get right now to survive and wait for the opportunity to ditch.

Right now, this abusive family was his only chance of living since he couldn't go out and the different creatures for food that you could find wandering around the city. That was the thing. This world he had found himself in was similar to pokemon, with the people who train different monsters being called Masters here.

He couldn't just go out and hunt them like wild animals since that was frowned upon, and you don't really see people in pokemon hunting and eating pokemon that much, if at all. There was no meat at all in this world that people ate, they just made food from the vegetation and had somehow come up with the idea of making something that closely resembled meat.

It was like a vegan paradise.

Anyway, what he was waiting on was the System. Something he had been able to talk with over the years, but not at all used since it was apparently preparing itself for use. He had been able to get the information that it was a system that would allow him to run some pet shop that could help people in getting what they needed to train their Radiant Beasts, which were what the creatures were called.

The talent for raising Radiant Beasts was also something that his older siblings and parents abused him for. The reason being that they deemed him having no talent at all for the career, even though they didn't exactly even see if he did have the 'talent'. His parents had gotten his older siblings as well as younger brother their Radiant Beasts already, and just neglected Silver.

Not like he cared, he already knew that the System was going to do something about that. He was a patient person, so he didn't exactly mind waiting at all.

"System, what percentage is the preparation at?"

[Preparation has reached 98%]

"Oh~, that means it isn't much time now. Maybe in the next few hours or so if it ends up speeding up." Silver smirked slightly as he sat down on his bed. His bedroom being rather bland, which he didn't care about as he had nothing he wanted to buy. He had no need for things like posters and such since he prioritised the System more than anything like that.

[System wants to remind you that the Contract Cards and the Radiant Beast Egg will be in your inventory upon the activation of the System]

"Understood, thanks for the info." Silver nodded. Contract Cards were what were used to created pacts between a Radiant Beast and a Master, they were basically the Pokeballs of this world. The egg was obviously what held his future first Radiant Beast, and he was genuinely curious about what it would be. "I hope it finished soon..."

"Hey, trash!" A female with a rather condescending voice had spoken out. Silver instantly formed a sharp frown as he rolled his eyes. He heard the door open as he turned to see that a girl about twenty or so was standing by the door with her hands on her hips. She had fair skin along with a lean and curvaceous build, along with long crimson braided hair. "Mom says that dinner's ready, so hurry up or else!"

Silver didn't even bother giving her a spoken response as he just waved her off like a fly, to which he could feel her glaring daggers at him, he couldn't care less though. She then walked up to him before giving him a violent slap over the head, though he barely felt it as he just remained unmoving. He then could hear her stomping away, to which he smirked as he scoffed.

"Too easy." Silver look at his hand, which could be seen gripping onto a blue wallet that seemed to be decently full. He looked inside and could see that there was a bunch of money and also cards. "Around 13,000 Ruen, huh? Nice. Shouldn't use the cards though, she'll definitely end up knowing if money has been taken out of her accounts."

The only reason he was confident about being able to take her wallet so easily was that he knew she was rather blind when she was annoyed or angered. Any other person would easily have felt their pockets shift if he were to reach for their things. He wasn't a thief, but he honestly didn't care if he stole from anyone in his family, except his younger brother, but he didn't know really if he even liked the kid or not.

"People say never look in a lady's wallet without her permission, but that doesn't apply here. She ain't no lady..." Silver chuckled as he pocketed the wallet walking out his room and easily chucking the wallet into his sister's room, which still had the door open, to which the wallet landed on her desk. "Now, for hellish dinner..."

β–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒβ–ƒ

At the moment, Silver could be seen sitting down at the dinner table with five other people. Two obviously being his parents, along with another two being his older siblings, the last one being his younger brother. Silver didn't really eat at all as he just rested his head back with his eyes closed as his mind was at peace.

His father was a man around the age of fifty, along with his mother. His father having combed black hair along with a pair of black eyes, his mother having longer crimson hair as well as crimson red eyes like himself. He had inherited his father's hair colour and his mother's eyes, which he honestly didn't want since that made him more similar to them than he ever wanted.

His older brother had black slightly messy black short hair along with a pair of black eyes, unlike Silver. His sister had crimson long hair, which was stated before, and also red eyes. So, she resembled his mother quite a lot. Finally, his younger brother had spiky black hair that was swept to the right, along with having the same crimson eyes as Silver. Therefore, his younger brother looked the most like himself.

He wasn't hungry at all since he had made food himself prior when none of his family were around, so he had a full stomach right now. The reason being that he honestly didn't want to eat his mother or father's cooking, not like he would even be able to eat much since they didn't even let him eat the minimum of calories of what someone his age should eat.

He wanted this dinner to be over so he could just ditch the table already. If he did that now then that would just caused more problems, and he didn't want to deal with the abuse. He didn't care about the physical abuse as he had already gotten used to that. The only abuse he didn't get used to, and probably never will, was the suffering he got from the constant scolding and yelling they did.

It hurt his ears.

Silver slightly opened one of his eyes before looking to his left towards his older siblings. Silver internally groaned as he gained a disgusting look, though didn't express it too much on his face. His older brother was chewing with his mouth open and his sister was shoving food into her mouth like a pig, and he swore that he could hear similar sounds to what a pig made when it ate.

His parents were also similar as they ate as disgustingly as the twins, which he still didn't understand how they were apparently twins despite being so damn different looking. When Silver looked at his younger brother, he could see him eating properly unlike the others. Sitting on the lap of his younger brother was a small creature that looked like a brown spherical rock that had purple cosmic energy that formed its arms and covered its entire rock body.

The Radiant Beast also had eyes that were formed from this energy, the mouth also being formed by the same power. Whenever his younger brother held some of the food on his plate for the Radiant Beast to eat, the foot sucked into its mouth like a vacuum and disappeared as if it was sucked in by a black hole.

This beast was called a Geomic, which was the combination of the words Geo and Cosmic. It was quite the rare Radiant Beast as it was a relatively new discovered Radiant Beast, said to have first come from space before its ancestors started slowly projecting their cosmic energy into non-sentient rocks, to which those rocks became Geomics themselves.

[Preparations have reached 100%]

[Legend Master System activated]

'Hm...!' Silver made sure not to express his pleasant surprise as he heard this notification from the System. Silver inwardly smirked as it seemed that these long hellish years might finally be over, he could probably leave this damn family pretty soon. Hopefully very very soon. 'System, what can I do now that it's activated? You gave me the general idea, but what are the functions?'

[The basic functions that I will explain now are that you can view the status information about different Radiant Beasts, accessing your inventory as well as, of course, functions that allow you to run your own business which includes buying the necessary supplies and more. Quests are also an available function that the System will provide you over time]

'I see... similar to an RPG with this quest function you're talking about. Not bad.' Silver nodded his head inwardly in approval. 'What kind of supplies do you mean?'

[Supplies refer to items that you can purchase from the System before placing them in your shop for purchase, such as different Contract Cards, Radiant Beast food supplies, and more. You will also be granted the facilities that allow you to properly train and raise the Radiant Beasts that a placed under your care by the customers]

'Ah~, I see. Thank you for the information.'

[System will also like to say that the System can automatically construct a shop for the user within a free space located in the city right now if the user wishes]

'Would it be smart to do so now...?' Silver wondered. He glanced towards the block that was on the wall, to which it showed that the time right now was eight at night. 'Since it's pretty late, I doubt anyone would be out, so they won't end up seeing a shop appear out of nowhere. Go ahead, System.'

[Understood. Searching for construction location...]

[Determining best location...]

[Determing best environment...]

[Determining best formation...]

[Construction of shop beginning]

[...]

[...]

[...]

[Construction has completed. Thank you for waiting]

'Wait, you're done already?' Silver thought in surprise. It had only been five minutes for the entire process to complete, the shop was already finished being formed? That's very impressive. 'System, which way is the shop exactly?'

[It's a few blocks south of Lane Hope Academy]

'Oh, so pretty close by to my brother and sister's school, huh? If that's the best spot according to you, then I won't complain...' Silver thought as he frowned slightly. If the shop was pretty close to his older sibling's school then there was a chance he would run into them. 'I just hope that won't happen... I have my doubts.'

[Do you want me to guide you there now?]

'Yeah, thanks. I want to leave this place now! But, how to do so...' Silver narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at the others at the table. He had already packed prior since he knew he would be leaving at some point, so he had already had things such as clothes and such packed away. 'I guess I can just be blunt about it... yeah, let's do that. I ain't going to lie and never return, honesty is the best policy. Just be blunt about it.'

Silver then nodded before quickly getting up from the table and rushing up the stairs to his bedroom, and he did so, so fast that the others didn't really get to react before they saw him coming back down with a decently large white backpack swung over his right shoulder. It looked heavy, but it seemed that Silver had no trouble carrying it.

Silver didn't spare them much of a glance before walking towards the door.

"H-Hold on, where are you going?!" His mother demanded coldly as she stood up from the table. The others, except his younger brother and his Geomic, glared coldly at him as their dinner was interrupted by his sudden actions. "If you are causing trouble, I swear that you are going to-!"

"I'm leaving the house as well as the family. So, just remove me from the family tree and such. Hopefully, never see you again. Ok, bye!"

With that, Silver opened the door quickly before shutting it behind himself with a slam as they all went silent as they all stared at the door in silence for a second before they all opened their mouths before yelling out in absolute shock and confusion.

"Wh-What the hell?!"

"Did that just happen...?"

"The fuck...!"

"Oi, what do you mean?!"

"I-Is he really gone...?" The youngest sibling voiced as they all stared at the door in total confusion. The younger brother then looked at his Geomic, who also had widened eyes as it continued to stare towards the closed front door, it seemed just as shocked and confused as them. "Silver..."
