As Einer slept, the massive boost in Sorcery which brought in new capacity allowed him to fully regenerate his energy reserves in under an hour once again, only awaking after a second hour of sleep.

By the end of which his arcana regeneration had fully recalibrated.

Normally it would take longer to do that, but he hadn't actually depleted himself or overused his body that much.

After all, to keep up with his pace, other mages would have to take countless breaks to regain energy which would result in the need for a full night's sleep, meanwhile Einer only had to do it a small number of times.

After waking up, scaling down the tree, stretching his limbs, and yawning, he felt much better, and Einer made to go even deeper into the woods.

His other option was to change direction and stay at the same depth while roaming around, however he figured the Geode Rank being he had just faced was an outlier for this region and considering the boost he just received that it wouldn't be a problem to go further either way.

Einer paced through the great oaks of the [Mahjinaki Forest], whose trunks now reached on average 80 feet high, and 10 feet in width! And considering every single tree were one of these great oaks, the forest continually exacerbated its already unique air.

He began ignoring and navigating around groups of monsters he could easily avoid, while taking out any in his way as quickly as possible.

At this point, killing more Stone Rank monsters was nearly pointless compared to finding more Geode Rank creatures!

Continuing at an unstoppable pace, the trees quickly surpassed the benchmark of 100 feet tall, and the forest began undergoing qualitative changes.

The leaves went from a typical leafy green to a dark green with blackened veins, the brown bark slowly being replaced by a more greyish and stone like counterpart.

Einer couldn't place it at first, but then remembered that it was the same stone like wood used in the palisades around the Breezy Meadow Town.

The gradual change in surrounding brought about new monsters, just like the goblins had been replaced by the wolves and chipmunks, new level 20 and above Stone Rank monsters replaced them in turn!

To advance further, Einer was now forced to battle against [Ivybourne], [Lesser Woodland Imps], and [Opine Bees].

His fire magic was already a great match for woodland type monsters even without the x10 curse multiplier. The [Ivybourne] being the easiest of the three for Einer to defeat, as fireballs that even [Luscious Wolves] wouldn't normally die to would be enough to take one out.

Very rarely he would encounter a species that had advanced outside its level range, for example a level 23 [Luscious Wolf], which sparked a question in his mind.

'Why are the higher level monsters so much more diverse in type, and where do they even come from? If they were all born naturally then the species would be evenly split over the level spectrum considering everyone starts from level zero...'

Ever since that Monolith he had chanced upon as a child, his life had been a building pile of questions.

And those questions were no longer,

'Why me?'

'Why can't I have a good life?'

'Why must we suffer this way?'

but,

'What the fuck has even been going on this whole time???'

All of these questions were put on the back burner, however, when Einer noticed a new peculiarity in his surroundings.

The groups of monsters he was encountering were all towards the larger side.

Not sizes he hadn't seen before, like progress deeper into the woods would result in, but a complete lack of smaller groups of the level 20+ monsters.

Einer quickly came to the conclusion that he had entered another Geode Ranker's territory. It made sense that unlike the chipmunks and wolves, the Stone Rankers here actually stood a chance against Geode Rank creatures as long as they were numerous enough.

Eyes darting around as he advanced in a cautious style, Einer eventually spotted an abnormality in the forest's scenery, what looked as though it might be a clearing of sorts.

Approaching the location, the details of the clearing became obvious, a spot where a tree had previously lain only showed uprooted remains, centered around a slumbering snake.

The beast rested at an approximate ten feet in length and one in width, its ability to destroy such a massive Stone Rank plant was a testament to its superior strength!

In comparison, what Stone Ranker of a human could bring down an entire normal tree of that size? None.

Not counting those like himself of course...

And through the assessment of such clues Einer knew he was in for yet another opponent more powerful than any he had encountered.

As he prepared to test out the full firepower of his newly risen Sorcery Stat, Einer took a stance as if he were about to experience the recoil of a hand held railgun.

'Take the arcana, direct it, condense it, and what else but...!'

[FIREBALL]

A blazing ball of flame burned bright in front of the child-like figure of Einer, however, his gleaming magenta eyes portrayed anything but, as destruction flew forth.

The form of the spell distorted into an almost bullet like shape as it sped onwards directly into the coiled figure of the unknown snake monster.

One.

Boom.

K.O.

!!!

The destructive incineration covered his view, and the resulting force pushed even the distanced Einer back a step.

'took about 85%, let's see it.'

When the flames cleared after a short few seconds, there wasn't even a snake to see anymore, aside from a long burnt spinal bone, skull, and some clumps of ashy flesh.

Einer's mouth hung open slightly, surprised at his rise in power for the nth time.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

'It wasn't higher level than the horsey thing? Maybe it had a really strong skill or something, too late for looking into that though.'

He called upon his system menu.

An evil grin appeared on his face, as he prepared to push Sorcery over one hundred all at once!

Einer gave the mental command to assign all of the points to Sorcery, and then reopened the stat panel.
