The earliest memory she had of her father was when she was very young. He seldom spent time with her and his family and was too busy with his work.
Whenever, Nesrin shared some moments with him, it was mainly because he would shut her out of the room, or in a small cupboard so that she can't hear or witness him fighting with her room.
It was a sick thing to do.
Something that scarred her mind forever.
Yet, how could she hate him when he was the only one that saved her from those darkest corners.
There were very few memories of him, but the short moment that Nesrin spent with her father were the only good things about her childhood.
The times when he would tell her stories as they sat under the starry sky, or the times when he would fulfill her senseless wishes despite them struggling financially in early years.
