I grabbed my lemon juice can and made my way to the rocking chair awaiting me. I sat and opened the can, sipping the tasty juice with the jazz music on the radio. It was heavenly – expect for the other DELTAs glaring at me.
I ignored and went on with drinking. My eyes were closed, listening to the soothing music. "Do you think this is a time to relax, Blaze?" Lily scowled. As always, her rage was on the top level. But I didn't care, still listening to the music. Xavier then went up to the radio and switched it off to have my attention. He succeeded. I lazily opened my eyes and sighed.
"Blaze, we need to plan. What next, bro?" Oliver asked me. Xavier had a laugh. "You are asking him? He is not even interested in these talks. Look at him! He is–" I stood up and interrupted Xavier's curse. "You think I am having fun?!" I shouted at top of the voice. All got silent, ready for a lecture.
"Look at where we are standing!" I yelled. We were at the DELTA Headquarters which was completely destroyed after Raptor, the two thousand year beast came here in search of Rock Flames, the creator of the DELTA Organization. "Our Headquarters has been destroyed. And you think I am having fun?" I demanded.
"Two weeks ago, I got to know about the threat of Raptor's awakening. I fought him and lost. We all failed." I reminded everyone so that they could again get into the depression they had somehow got out of. (That wasn't so nice of me) "A week ago, the creator of this group, Rock Flames died, my father who wasn't even my real father, died. Do you still think I am having fun?! Every second, through my mind goes thoughts of the threat we will be facing from here on!" I exclaimed. All were silent, knowing that even a word by them could get them killed.
Slowly, the anxiousness fading away, I said, "In a week Raptor had freed himself and within the same week, he brought together the army of giants from all over the world." I said. That was true. The news showed Raptor getting his army ready as they made their way to King Jalaar, the place where he was sealed. We had once encountered one of the giants of the same species. Buvaton, his name was – he was from the species of the giants who could live up to thousands of years. Now Raptor had a whole army of that species. That was scary and I knew the army was for defending Raptor from us.
I calmed down but the tension was in the air. "So what should we do now?" Xavier enquired. "First of all, we need to know where Raptor is headed. Rock Flames did pass on the legend but there wasn't a mention of the place where King Jalaar was sealed by the magic master." Lily said. She was right. Without knowing where to head, we couldn't fight.
"The news channels are too scared and we can barely rely on them for information. We need to know the whole story, the history." Oliver suggested. An idea passed my mind as I spoke, "Then we should go to the library. There we can possibly get some history information." I said.
Xavier didn't look too satisfied of the plan. "But would there be the information we need? Anyways… it's worth a shot." He said. We agreed. That seemed to be the best thing we could do. So, after a little discussion, we went off to our respected rooms which were somehow not destroyed. The workers in the Headquarters were in panic after Raptor had arrived and they were busy fixing everything up.
I entered my luxurious room which still managed to make me happy even after all this. My phone was on the table. (Yes, I had bought a phone as expected) I jumped onto the bed. Magnum was beside me, still having the white light it had gained since my last fight against Raptor. Something had changed. It was a very rough assumption but I had this feeling that a small part of the magic power Raptor had used against me during the final clash had somehow entered Magnum.
I soon dozed off in the same old dress I was in. I had changed dresses after fighting Raptor so don't worry, I do not have blood all over me.
