The great hall had a rectangular shape with an impressive high and decorative ceiling, large windows, and an enormous fireplace. Two rows of stone pillars ending in triangular supports were sustaining the wide ceiling.
Along with the room, between the two rows of pillars, was a banquet table that could seat more than fifty people. Now the table was almost empty; only at one end sat three men in grave silence. At the head of the table was the man with black hair, while his brothers sat at his sides. The silver-haired man with ice blue eyes was grinning, pleased with this awkward situation. Terix stared at the empty plate, not daring to put anything on it because of the oppressive silence.
Both Drake and Wrenn emanated strength and power, and the hatred between them was deep and obvious, intimidating their little brother to the point where he felt he was beginning to fade away.
