Terix's room was certainly not worthy of a prince, but he didn't care. He could patiently bury his head in a book and forget about his brothers for a few hours. Sadly, the chosen book was not good enough to do this.
He left the book open on his chest and sighed, rubbing his spasmodic temples. Terix saw in his mind how he had gotten into this situation.
Wrenn came to the palace saying that he had found Aegis. The king wanted to send an entire army, but Wrenn insisted on doing things the way he wanted. All he needed was Terix and thirty guards.
He had hoped that everything would end soon, that they would take the woman and return to the palace. But Wrenn wanted to play cat and mouse with his older brother. Terix hated being caught in this situation, and all he wanted was to get away as soon as possible.
The faint knock on the door made his temples jolt even louder. Terix said the words slowly, without stopping to massage his head. "You may enter!"
