A few weeks later
" Hey Ma," Anya said as her mother picks up the call. She missed her family and told her to call them frequently as she can so they know how's she going.
" My baby, how are you? " her mother's sweet voice echoes from the phone. Its been four months since she last met her parents. Ah, I missed Ma, she thought to herself.
"I'm fine, Ma. How about you? Where's daddy? "
" He's in the kitchen, cooking. Your father didn't let me enter the kitchen today after I unintentionally cut my finger yesterday " she could picture how her mother rolls her eyes at her father.
She sits up on her bed as she learned that her mother hurts herself for the second time this month.
" You should be careful, Ma. How can you accidentally cut yourself? "
" Remember I told you about the Korean drama I told you before? "
" Penthouse? "
Rosalinda, Anya's mother, and Kitty are Kpop fans. Kitty is the person who introduces KPOP to her mother and both of them always talks about the Korean drama and K-pop song from their favorite groups. Therefore, they have been trying to drag and lure Anya into their paradise. thus, now and then, when she has free time, she would spend some time watching Korean drama with Kitty and their current sensation drama is Penthouse.
" YES! I was too focusing watching it while I was cutting the vegetable. I was scolded by your father afterward. It was so addictive and tense when they fight with each other. I can't help but get so HOOKED! "
Anya laughed as she shakes her head at her mother's enthusiasm when she talked about one of the scenes that make Kitty almost gone crazy.
" Hahaha glad you like it, Ma. Kitty was also the same as you are. She keeps getting frustrated with Joo Dan-Tae and Cheon Seo-Jin in the drama. If can, she would have leaped into the television and punch Joo Dan Tae in the face, she said. Remember the scene where Joo Dan-Tae killed Bae Ro-Na? She almost breaks the TV with the remote "
" That storyline is so messed up but yet we still want to watch it"
Anya can imagine how starry and sparkling her mother hazel eyes when she talked about something that she loves.
" Yeah, I only watch a couple of it when I'm free. Ahh, where are my brothers? Have they gone home? " she asked.
" Your brother Axel did coming home a few days ago and Alaric said he probably will be visiting you soon"
" Really? That's perfect. I met Hanna, his high school classmate, and told me to hand him her invitation to her wedding" She was out with Kitty and Bret last week and they accidentally met with Hanna, Alaric's former classmate from high school, who also used to have a crush on him. The news was quite shocking when Hanna hand her wedding cards to them and told them to come also told Anya to give one more to her brother. Anya is close with her brother's friends and classmates because her brother always brings her along to his class at school recess.
" Hanna? Wow, that's great. I'll tell your brother about it later on. Anya, your father wants to talk to you,"
" Hey, my sweet pie. How are you? " her father adoring call her by the nickname he gave to her.
Anya was very loved and cherished ever since she was born. Her brother couldn't let go of her from their sight and always wanted to be close with her. Her father, Eric Rivera, fall in love with her, when she stillborn and very tiny. He had vowed that he would give the world to her and protected her in any way possible. She also their only daughter and their only sister.
"I'm doing great. I'm just busy with the mid-term exam"
"Your mom told me that Kitty told her that you have a fever a few days ago. you should take care of your health, honey"
"Kitty! That snitcher! Urghh I told her not to tell you guys. I know dad, I'll keep that in mind" she sighed. She didn't tell her parent because she knows they would be worried because she has a fragile body ever since she was a baby.
" Well, I should go first. I need to cook dinner for your mom and me. She cut herself so I need to not let her cook for a while "
" Dad, stop flaunting your sweetness for Ma in front of me. I'm SINGLE okay" she swayed her head as she thinks about her father and mother's affection for each other. That is the kind of love that she deemed about.
" Even if you have one, they would be chase away by your brothers away"
" I know... that's why boys afraid to approach me"
"Hahaha, I'll pass the phone to your mother now. Bye honey"
" Bye daddy"
" Anya, darling, I need to go too okay. We'll talk again later okay? "
" Sure, Ma. "
"Bye, darling. We love you"

After she got off from the call, she receives 30+ unread messages from their group. She clicked on it and read all the messages. To summarize it, it just the talk about Kitty telling the others about Jackson and the gang. She emphasizes the fact that Jackson was staring at Anya and they begin to speculate that Jackson does interested in Anya and they bluntly accused Anya of being insensitive and oblivious.
Then she got a private message from Kitty. Anya was alone at home while Kitty was out drinking with her classmate.
KITTY: " Maxwell texted me "
ANYA: " Huh? Why? "
KITTY: " He told me that they are inviting us to have dinner with them tomorrow "
ANYA: " Why? "
KITTY: " I don't know too, bish. He just told me that we just need to dress casually. He also said that he'll personally fetch us and drive us there"
ANYA: " Very nice of him. Tell him that I say thank you"
KITTY: " Will do"
ANYA: " Getting cozy with Maxwell now huh? *smirk* You and him exchange number too huh? "
KITTY: " I accidentally met him yesterday along with his usual gang so we grabbed a drink then exchange number and now texting "
ANYA: " Just be careful. They're playboys. They wouldn't be called as Lady Killer for nothing"
KITTY: " YEA YEA I KNOW"
KITTY: " You know, he was asking me about you"
ANYA: " Who? "
KITTY: " YOU KNOW WHO"
ANYA: " Huh? "
KITTY: " OMG Anya, it's Jackson, your secret admire"
ANYA: " *SHOCKED EMOJI* Are you for real? "
KITTY: " OF COURSE I AM. He sort of asking for you. He asked me where my other friend at so I guess he was asking for you *shrugged emoji* "
ANYA: " He probably just being nice. Don't think much about it"
KITTY: " Yea, sure. I GTG. I'll be back before 9 okay"
Anya replied with stickers then lock her phone screen. Tomorrow dinner huh? What should I wear? Dress? or blouse ? or just a t-shirt and jeans? Did they tell us to dress casually right? She can't help but feels a little excited.
She got up then go to her closet and prepare her outfit for tomorrow. She needs to go somewhere tomorrow afternoon so she prepares two outfits, one for the afternoon and one more for the dinner. She takes out cute white crop tops and pair of yellow knit trousers along with T-strap sandals for the afternoon then pair of jeans, white short tank tops along with a white jacket and sneakers for dinner outfits.
She then hangs it on her clothes rack then continued to do her revision and her assignments. Then the night slowly fadeaways.
