With that Pavitra was left alone once. She could not help but imagine the look on her finance adviser's faces soon. He was probably going to have some sort of heart attack, then he would rush in here asking what was going on.
Though ignoring all of that for now, it seemed like she would have to move up her plans of leaving the city. I doubt that once the regent had taken power he would want her and her people around for long. As she thought about it, the idea of just sending people in mass to the valley suddenly seemed like a good idea.
Then she could hear some loud boisterous laughing coming from outside, as she looked up she saw all of what would be her personal guards walk back in through the door. Shourya soon separated himself from them all and began to walk towards her. His eyes were staring straight at her face. They didn't even move for a second, she could not help but feel her heart flutter a little at this, though he probably had not even known what he was doing she thought herself.
Once he was directly right in front of the throne. He gave a quick bow, for appearance's sake. Then he walked up a bit closer to where she was sitting.
"Well, that was interesting. The boy has courage. If he can keep that throughout it all, he will make for a fine soldier and maybe even a fine officer. His stepdad though, well is a dick. You wouldn't mind if he disap…"
He then stopped what he was about to say, as he saw the look which he was getting. Pavitra could not help but groan a bit. Men were all the same really. They could not just let everything go as it should and instead all wanted to kill and make things disappear. Could they not just talk it out like normal people.
Shourya then feeling that the atmosphere was starting to feel a little weird between the two of them, then decided to leave her side and join the rest of the soldiers. Seeing him go back to them, Pavitra watched them all for a minute. Before just as she had expected the finance adviser had arrived.
He ignored all of the people who were now looking at him as he ran past them all straight up to the throne. "Is this right your highness?" He screeched out as he ran. He was waving a load of papers around as he did as well.
Seeing all of this, Pavitra smiled a little bit at the action of the man. He was acting a bit like a fool. Once he was right in front of her, she just said. "Yes, that's exactly correct. There is no need for you to worry too much. It will help us all in the long run. Not only that, but once you have succored the land. I want you to pay some builders to have what is there torn down and in its place, I want some new buildings made up. For storage and other uses like that.
The man just looked at her and much like the man who was in here not long before. He walked out with his wide open and agape. He was shocked and did not know how to react or what really to do.
Then once he was gone, she stood up from the throne, to talk to all of the men and woman who were now before her. There were fifty-six of them now if she was to count Shourya. It was a small number but she has to start somewhere she guesses.
"You all are now cadets. This means you are not my personal guard yet. You have to get through all of the training first. From weapon skills, tactics, command. Fitness and much, much more. I will make you into the most elite force of soldiers, comparable to the royal guard itself. All you have to do is not give up and get through it all." Then with that, she walked out of the hall.
She had hoped that her words were able to get to them all. Tomorrow, she would have them all learn how to use weapons. They had to be tested to see where they were already and then taught up to a high level. The training was going to take a long time, for some of them like the boy it would take even longer as he had much more to learn than the ones who were already soldiers.
The next after overseeing the start of their weapon training, Pavitra soon found herself in a meeting with the regent once more. He was just trying to find out what her plans were.
The last thing that he said was a bit mean though. "You have one week to move on from this city. Or else." His threat seemed kind of funny though as he had no real strength except that piece of paper. Once more she did consider just getting rid of him but at the same time, if the king were to find out she would lose everything.
Once more she remembered how weak she really was. The feeling was horrible, and it just made her feel tenser. Even with Shourya here now, it did not lessen as she had used to hope. Instead, it had only gotten worse, she had more to lose now and not just that. He was different. He was not the boy who would laugh and play with her as he use to when they were young.
Maybe it was just age and him growing up. Or maybe something had happened.
While thinking of all of this, she could not help but imagine what her life would be like if nothing bad had happened. Her mother and her.
Her and Shourya and there…
She then blushed heavily at where her thoughts were going.
"No, I don't think of him like that," She mumbled to herself.
