the feeling in my body was still apparent but slightly numbed in some areas I was barely able to breath with dust making up most of the air I was trying to inhale, my body was under an immense amount of weight but nothing life threatening I opened my eyes waiting for the blurr to subside.
rocks surrounded me and I finally realized why some of my body was numbed as some of the rocks were so tightly pressed against them that blood was barely able to get through, my eyebrow raised with a frowned to go with it.
"am I still alive...."
I sighed and closed my eyes not wanting to stay beneath the rubble any longer,a flicker and a spark occured as I tried channeling mana through my body but nothing more happened confused I tried a second time but was instead met with no response.
'my.....mana!!'
I shouted inside my head trying desperately to use even my most basic of spells but not even the slightest spark or feeling of energy raced through me,frightened for a moment at my sudden weakness I spent god knows how long attempting to activate any spell I knew.
"gahhh I'm powerless huh....tch I don't have a high sense of pride but this is just embarrassing!!"
shouting at the top of my lungs before eventually sighing in defeat exhaustion creeping over me after excessively trying to free myself.
'"damnit I'm a magical cripple now,I wonder where I'll get money after this"
*4 hours later*
Clang!!
Clang!!
my eyes were shot open by the sound of a sharp metal penetrating through the rocks above me daylight slowly making it's way to my eyes causing me to shut them in pain from the sudden sight of light.
feathers clad black with a glossy look to them a bird the size of a dog with a beak made of some sort of metal that glistened in the daylight gave me a tilted look with it's head in confusion analyzing my very face, amused at my odd savior I gave the bird a warm smile despite my desperate situation.
"a few of my limbs are kinda numbed right now so ahem could you help me out a bit?"
I said nonchalantly causing the black bird to blink and tilt it's head in the opposite direction before continuing at it's helpful duty.
minutes passed by like hours till the feeling of my legs and arms came back to me along with a stinging and annoyingly tingly feeling you get after extended time of poor blood circulation, finally free I pushed myself up and stumbled a bit like a toddler trying to walk for the first time still recovering from the hours of numbness the bird hopped out of the way as I dusted myself off a bit giving the bird a few pats on the head as I surveyed my surroundings.
the entire landscape was a sea of grey rock and scorched land with trees either broken in half or on the verge of nearly breaking as they were bent or cracked, light purple sparks of energy occasionally appeared for a few minutes before disappearing for what seemed like forever.
"was my attack really that devastating?"
I asked myself sarcastically with a chuckle in between as I made my way through the landscape thankfully most of my armour was still intact on my body or at least glued to it by the dry blood covering me.
I took the highest rock I could find and stared across the furthest I could, the scarred surface from my attack spanned farther than I expected although thankfully there was actually an end with a forest right after it.
'I really wish I had my mana right now'
the metalic beaked bird landed on my shoulder taking one last look at me before letting out an irritating caw flying off out of sight like it had no business here other than my escape.
"thanks at least"
