Chereads / Lady Vampire / Chapter 61 - Chapter 61

Chapter 61 - Chapter 61

I sighed as I walked beside Lily as she talked with Agent Connor. Then I realized a few things. "Excuse me," I said softly. "Mother," I said dragging her away from the others.

"Yes?" She asked me.

"6 years," I said softly. "You said you witches age 1 year for 6 years. Lily who I know is my age looks like an old lady and you look ten years younger than her."

"6 years is the average." She tells me. "The more magic you have the less you age." She tells me. My own personal aging is 12 years for one yours was 10 years for one, For someone with an average amount of magic the years is six. Those with an abundance have more time to play with."

"That is why they matched you up with Rayrich," I said softly. "He said that his power was more on the archmage level," I said softly.

"Yes." She agreed as she sighed. "I have the Archmage level magic. This means my life is 12 to 15 years for one year of aging."

I nodded and rubbed my face and sighed. "Okay okay," I said softly. I then turned and snarled.

"Well well, what do we have here? Snowflake." He purred as every vampire from the north and Torent clans were now surrounding us.

"You are ruining a party my snowflake. I can not let you do that."

"I am not your anything." I snarled at him as the agents made their way through.

"What is going on here?" Rowen asked.

"You're looking at the person who runs the trafficking ring," I tell him.

"Oh snowflake comes now, don't be like that." He said his eyes were hardening into a look that he would always give when I was in trouble but I pulled my pride and strength around me like a shield and stood tall as I leveled my own look of disappointment at him.

"I am Diana Arcaria-Torant-Dragon. Soon to be Queen of the Northern vampires I am not your snowflake you disgusting disgrace of a living being!" I spat at him. I kept my eyes on him since he hated that.

The snarl on his face as he sent out a whip of light but my darkness absorbed it making his eyes widen then both the agents grabbed him and cuffed him as they stopped us from starting a fight on the streets. "Let go of my property should never speak to me that way."

"Slaves are illegal." Agent Rowen said as he dragged him away from us as I sighed and grabbed Agent Connor's arm and slipped into the shadows with Owen and Keith.

"What is going on?" He asked me.

"A hunt," I tell him as I move from shadow to shadow hunting for the ones I was looking for.

"We don't have the warrants to arrest them." Agent Conner said.

"What is a warrant?" Owen asked.

"It's something that says we have the right to arrest this person."

"What if they attack a diplomat?" I asked him.

"We can arrest them then." He agreed.

"Good," I said pulling out of the shadows in front of one of the bodyguards.

"I am sorry but you need to leave beast." One of them said I know them differently but when the door opens.

One of the younger females came out and her eyes widened as she shrieked. "GHOST!"

"I am not a ghost Katness," I said, rubbing my ears as she screamed at them to shoot us.

"Well there's your right to take them in," I said as I dragged us back into the shadows as the bullets started flying.

"Yea." He agreed as I came out of them grabbing Katness and Keith grabs one of the goons and Owen breaks the other's arm. I held her tight as she tried to fight against me.

"How could you Katness?" I asked her.

"Fuck you." She hissed at me.

"No thanks." I hissed as I slammed her into a wall. "I would rather die than be fucked by those beings who used us as toys." I spat.

"You know you could have been like me. His partner in crime." She said as she was cuffed.

"I would rather be free," I tell her, and Logan and Father came up out of the shadows as the others took them away and I leaned against Logan and I looked back at the door.

"You know there are others here," Father said.

"I know but." I stopped as Rawon led uniformed people up to us.

"That door is the rest of them," I said pointing to it.

"Thank you." He said as I walked away.

"I know you're not okay," Logan said.

"You're right I am not." I agreed with him. "But I will be."

"What was with the Snowflake comment?" Father asked me as I sighed.

"Each of us was given a second name, mine was Snowflake." I sighed as I leaned into him wanting to forget but knowing I never would,

"I love you." He said softly.

"I love you too," I said pulling back and shadowing us down not wanting to deal with this but knowing I would have to give a statement. I dropped us off in the lobby next to Xavier who I sat beside and just sighed.

"Did you get that bad guys?" He asked me.

"We got some of them, yes," I answered him.

He looked up at me and then nodded. "Good now maybe you can get some sleep."

"I hope so buddy," I said curling up against him.

"Same same." He leaned against me and I closed my eyes.

"Lady Diana?" Someone asked.

"Yes?" I asked as I opened my eyes and rolled my head looking up at the very tall male.

"I need to talk to you about what just happened." He said as I sighed and waved him into a seat.

"What do you want to know?" I asked him.

"How did you know that your friend was outside?" He started.

"From what we have discovered, vampires' sense of smell is about 50 times stronger than werewolves. I could smell her." I explained to him. "Just like I can smell everyone in this room and everyone in the kitchen and halfway up the building."

"I need to know what was your relationship with the older male that called you to snowflake." He said and I looked down at Xavier.

"Hey buddy, why don't you go ask Loren to take you to the swimming area," I told him. He looked up at me and he looked deep into my eyes and then nodded.

"Okay." He said and I sighed as he and Loren left the room.

"That male was my main owner, he would be the one who would sell me to people and he was given full access to me and Lily as we were his pets no matter who was our current owners," I tell him.

"Oh." He said as he wrote. "How did you do that shadow thing?"

"That is a trait of my Venom line," I told him.

"Venom line?" He asked me.

"It's the same thing as a bloodline," I told him.

"Family tree." He nods as he takes notes.

"Indeed." I agreed with him.

"Where will we be able to find you?" He asked me.

"I am not sure how long the treaty talks will be but after that, I will be back in the vampire lands," I explained to him.

"You're a witch turned vampire?" He asked me as he took notes.

"Yes, I am." I agreed with him.

"Thank you for your time, Ma'am," he said as he got up and left.

"That was a lot fewer questions than I thought it would be," I said.

"I think it was more than you have diplomatic immunity that has something to do with it." Mother said join us.

"Who knows," I said as a man came up to us.

"Yes?" Mother asked him.

"The rooms are ready." He said calmly I get up and we all get room cards and I go to mine and pass out for the rest of the day and night until I am woken up by my door opening.

"What?" I asked as I wanted to get up when Went to get up, the bed dropped and I looked over at Father.

"I see you are awake, are you okay?" He asked me.

"I am fine, I have just never been this tired since you turned me and I do not understand it," I told him.

"It is okay to be tired," Father said as he patted my head and I sighed as I laid back down on the bed. "Are you okay?"

"No Father I am not," I told him.

"Okay." He said, patting my head.

"Is it time to leave?" I asked him.

"No, we have about an hour before we even think about needing to get up." He said and I sighed

"I hate this," I tell him.

"What do you hate?" He asked me.

"Feeling vulnerable," I tell him.

"Yea I know. That feeling sucks." He said with a sign.

"You?" I asked him. "When has the master of shadows ever felt vulnerable?"

He laughed a lot at that. "Sweety when I was young I was not the shadow master I am today. I felt so vulnerable compared to my father." He tells me softly.
