"Now remember, just don't address either Father." I whispered before I opened the door and I smiled as we walked back in and my lovely wolf was back on the table growling at his father as I walked to my seat.
"Queen Bessie/Queen Anastasia I would like to court your son." Both of them said at the same time which almost made me laugh but it made me smile nonetheless.
"Hold it!" King Ridner said.
"Nope." I said as I smiled at him as my lovely wolf growled at him to keep him from talking. "It is the mother who has final say on the Courtships not the father."
"She is correct." Queen Bessie grinned at me then to the boys. "While rules and boundaries will be set I agree to the courtship."
"I would be foolish and a hypocrite if I did not allow you two to court. I am sure the four of us can sit down and speak on the rest of this later." Queen Anastasia said smiling.
Father and Mother looked at me. "What?"
"Get the wolf off the table." Father said.
"Right, sorry. Come here boy." I said and he huffed and returned to me and curled up at my feet.
"At least one of us gets out of this." Riley said moving and taking his brothers seat while normally I am sure everyone here would be up in arms, however, no one said anything because it put space between King Ridner and Prince Wilson.
"What are you doing?" Ridner asked him.
"Protecting my brother from you." He said not blinking at him. "I know you well enough to know if we let him near you right now you would hurt him. So there's not a chance I am letting him sit next to you Father because you go on and on about Loyalty but you have none to your own blood unless we are your puppets." He spat at him. "The only person I think you know is loyal to yourself. With how you treat females it almost seems like you have no loyalty to Mom."
King Ridner tried to slap him if Father would not stop him with shadows. "Do not raise your hand to your child." Father snarled as Anastasia pulled her boys away from their father and glared at him as King Ridner turned to my father. "Release me or I will call for a clan incident."
"You will not harm our sons!"
"Prince Riley, how old are you?" I asked him.
"210." He said, looking at me as did everyone else. "Why?"
"Because for born Vampires the first 150 years we are children, from 151 to 250 we are considered adolescents or teenagers. You my dear prince technically can't even be put into a contact either. Because you're not considered an adult until you're 251 years old." I looked at them. "What am I wrong?"
"No she is right." Queen Nightshade said. "Hell I have issues with some of my clan members because I am 240 and leading."
"Which is why Anderson is there to help with that." Queen Breanna nodded.
"No no no no no no." He yells as he fights the shadows.
"Hey we didn't say to cancel the tournament." I huffed. "I for one am looking forward to seeing how everyone fights and kicks their tails."
"Indeed this tournament and ball is a good way to keep in touch with the 100 year mandatory tournament." Queen Lamia agreed.
"How about we take a break, let's get the temperature under control and let the mothers have their talk." Tacal said softly. "It is getting close to Midnight and I believe Chef Vicky is preparing those of us who need to eat."
"I can agree with that." Queen Anastasia agreed. "We could all use some blood and space."
"Mother, can I speak with you?" I asked her.
"Of course." She said as we followed the others out. "What is it?"
"There is one thing we have been forgetting past the beast." I said softly.
"What is that?" She asked me.
"Heartbeats." I said softly. "I am not sure if the spell you used on me would be good for all of us. Most of the guards will not allow that since they need to be able to determine when a threat comes their way." I said leaning against the wall.
"True." Mother said softly. "I might be able to reverse the spell I have been putting on us and make it to where you guys can't hear the heart beats."
"We again come to the issue with the guard fighting that they need that to keep an ear on attackers but I can fight that and say that we don't have heart beats here so we wouldn't need it there." I bit my nail.
"Sweety this is not all on you."
"I know but I am the one who got all of us into this."
"You did." She smiled at me. "But you did it for the right reasons and that is what matters. You didn't want a war anymore then we do."
"I know Mother I know." I sighed as I rested my back against the wall. "I never expected to be in a mess like today has been."
"When you have someone who is closed minded you are always in for a fight. Atleast King Bloodbound was smart enough to not fight with the laws of old."
"That was the one thing I wasn't worried about. Their honor is so ingrained into them that protocol and laws that even they at their most blood thirsty if you surrender they will not keep attacking you. That is why I want Princess Lori to learn our ways as a Lady knight; it would give her a confidence boost in herself, not just her clan pride."
"You know you made them sound ruthless." Mother said softly
"Oh they are if you don't yield they will kill you and I worry that because they live in the middle of the vampire lands the heart beats will send them into a feeding frenzy." I said softly.
"I understand you are worried about this. And thank you for reminding me." She said softly. "This is something we can discuss with the others when lunch is over."
"Yes mom."
"Good come." She said taking my arm and I smiled as we headed to the dinning hall.
"Night's blessing." Loren said as I walked up to her.
"Night's Blessing sister, how are you this night?" I asked her.
"Well Sister, how is yours and Yours Lady Coraline." She asked us.
"Loran I told you you can call me either Coraline or Mom since you're my daughter's sister." Mom sighed.
"Multiple times." SHe smiled at us.
"Then please listen." She huffs.
She smiled and Nodded. "Yes Mother." She said with a smile.
"Good girl." Mother jokes. "And Magda if you call me Lady Coralina I will smack you."
That made all of the Lady knights sitting near us laugh. "You are not one for formalities Lady Dragon." One of the lesser knights spoke.
"No I am not and what have I told you all if you want to call me anything call me Mrs. Coraline or Mrs. Dragon!" She huffs.
"Protocol Mother." I giggle at her.
She huffs and rolls her eyes. "Fine." She pouts.
She makes the knights laugh. "Lady Dragon, don't worry we." I stopped listening as one of my shadows tugged me away from then.
"Loren Magda guard my Mother." I said after a moment and then left the shadow to take me. I came out of it at the door of the end. "What is going on?" I asked them.
"Lady Diana!" Hurbert said with a gruff voice.
"Where are our diplomats!" Someone snarled at them.
"James calm down!" One of the others snapped at him.
"There are eating their lunch." I said tilting my head. "You were not here the last time we checked in."
That made him blink. "This is James he is Tacal's son."
"Oh." I said softly. "Well thank you for not coming to the End. We are working on finding a different way in and out so that way the beasts that live here do not try to exit the End."
"Why would that be a problem?" James demanded.
"Because Dacay bears take 10 fully grown vampires to kill." I told him.
His eyes widened then nodded. "I can see why you would not want them out here." He agreed.
"I will pass along a message to your father for you but it will be at least 2 more days before we can bring anyone back from the talks with the rest of the royal families."
James made a face then sighed and pulled out something and handed it to me. "Can you give this to my Father my wife gave birth early and so he couldn't be there but there are photos." He said softly.
"I can do that." I agreed with him. "Now I must be going." I said stepping back into the shadows and coming back up in my Mothers shadow.
"What happened?" She asked me.
"Someone was trying to enter the end." I said walking over to tacal.
"Diana?" He asked looking up at me.
"Your son tried to come find you." I tell him to give him the envelope. "He asked me to give you this. Congratulations, you are now a grandfather." I smiled at him.
He took the envelope and looked ready to cry as he flipped through the photos. "Thank you for getting these to me." He said softly.
"My pleaser."
