My Dad called me after few minutes I reached Brains... my Dad never calls me, I wondered why he called me, with my thoughts... I picked the call,
"Hai Dad, what's it..."
"Danny, Megan is here to meet Mr Felix"
"Yaa, I know, she said while leaving... this morning, in front of all, don't you remember"
"But Danny, Megan is not in a good mood, I think, she was crying in her Dad's arms, for while... she's somewhat upset..."
"She cried... but everything was all good Dad, I truly have no idea why she's upset"
"Danny, that's what I mean... you should know why she's unhappy... you can not let her find comfort in her dad's arms or with anyone else... it shows how much she trusts you"
"Ok, Dad... I will see to it"
as I said, I cut the call, does Megan trust me... I thought for some time, with all her trust she married me when I asked her to marry me, but do she trust me now, what have I done to break her trust so much... She finds her Dad to comfort her, I need to confront her... about what's happening, I thought, and walked to Jack, planned a lot for the wedding.
We decided on the guest list first and then the venue... it was a Hotel K city, it's a 5star hotel... we both booked the hall, and rooms for all the guests, and a wedding room for Jack and Ellie... we looked for decorations ideas when Megan walked in, she treated me like air, only spoke to Jack, enquired about Ellie, then wanted to leave, while I pulled her into my embrace and kissed her forehead, I actually missed this minion so much from the morning, and she went to her Dad to comfort her and now ignoring me, I need to teach a proper lesson today...
I accompanied Megan to university, as I parked my bike, Megan got down and went to the professor's room, while I said I will wait for her out, but as she left, I went to our canteen, paid our canteen master to arrange a table for two... ordered simple lunch for us, and texted Megan to come here, the garden behind our canteen, after few minutes Megan walked into the garden with a surprised face, I lend her hand and pulled her seat like a gentleman, She smiled and sat.
asking,
"For what is this..."
"Simply, want to have lunch with my wife"
"Oh"
that was the only reaction that Megan gave, I was devastated by that, what did I do to upset her... I had no idea, finally, I couldn't take it any more, so, I looked straight into Megan's eyes, and asked her,
"Megan... are you upset with me, why are you ignoring me"
"Danny... why do you feel I am ignoring"
"Because you're ignoring me, Megan, that hurts me... so much"
"How would it have hurt me, when you just ignored me last night, just walked to your mom, and this morning, you were happily having breakfast with your mother, without even thinking why I was alone sitting, and you had so much to do... did't even cared about me, you left"
"So you went to your Dad, to find comfort, then why do we even are together, for you to find your comfort always with others, even last time... you wanted cry holding your niece, then where do I stand in your life Megan"
"You are asking me this, where do you stand in my life... Seriously, I gave up all my future... for you, only to stay with you, and what I go through every day is not your consent... when you see your mother's crying face, all my mental suffering for four months, is nothing..."
"Megan, my mother said sorry... she's changed"
"And you believe her... WOW, Mr Daniel Reid, your amazing, one minute you promise me to protect, and next you promise your mother you always stay with her... which one of you is real Danny"
"So, staying with my mother is your problem... your family is teaching these to you Megan"

as she said, She got up from the table and walked away... this is not how I wanted our lunch to go, we our in complete doom, It was pathetic, I failed her again, I understand she's greatly hurt by my mother... but she doesn't understand I will protect her at any cost, from anyone, if it's even my mother... I need some time to move out with Megan, why is she so stubborn... I turned the table upside down with anger, knowing I can't do anything at present to please her...
I walked to the parking, to see Megan leaning on my Bike, with tears in her eyes, I walked as fast as I can, pulled her into a tight hug, and kissed her tears away... and kissed her passionately, and said...
"Trust me, Meg, I will never let anyone hurt you"
"Trust... you"
"Meg listen... we will move out in some time... but my mother needs to be fine with her health, give me some time, I love you Megan.."
She just nodded her head and we reached home after few minutes, as we entered, My mother walked to Megan...
"Megan, I am really sorry about what happened in past, it's all my mistake to misunderstand you, do be angry, we are family..."
Megan Pov
I looked at her with a stagnant look, I know she's doing it in front of Daniel because to make him feel, I am the one not ready to have peace but I was not able to prove to Daniel that his mother was just acting... So
"Aunt Abel, how can you an elder talk to me like that, we are family, it's ok... I have forgotten all the previous incidents"
as I said, I walked away from that poisonous woman... I went up called Ellie to check if she had bought her wedding dress...
"Yaa Megan I liked a design, but the size was not available, so I have given my measurement..."
"That's good, then finalized with your bridesmaid dress... which of your friends you have decided for Bridesmaid"
"I always thought of you as my bridesmaid, Daniela's Jack's best man, but now I don't know whom to take"
"Ok, then how about Mia... Daniel's sister, she can be your Bridesmaid, and in Daniels place, you can take Ray or Riley, what do you say... if ok I will talk to my friends, and you can ask Daniel about Mia"
Ellie agreed happily, and ended the call, I called Ray to ask, like he was ok being Jack's best man, and he immediately agreed, when Daniel came back to the room with a milk packet, and a mug of coffee... he said
"Meg, I am putting the milk pack in the fridge, and here take your coffee"
"Thank you, actually Ellie called, and as we were speaking about the wedding, she doesn't have a bridesmaid, I suggested Mia... what do you think"
"That's actually a good one and anyways I will be there, no need to worry, I will talk to Mom"
"If your mother agreed, please call Ellie and inform her"
finished my coffee, put the mug in the sink, and walked to the closet to change... but I was in my thoughts, the way we both fought a few hours ago... but we both are speaking as if nothing happened between us, I can't face this double-faced life, if he wanted me, he as choose me, and if it was his mother he have to let go of me... but Daniel is struggling to take a stand.... and his mother will not by quite.... it's calmness before the storm.
