Daniel looked at me with a helpless look, probably he didn't expect me to be so scared by his look, we had dinner, Logan never spoke, as my dad asked, what's your problem with that boy in the shop. Logan looked at Dad, as he said, Daniel is from a different department Dad, he often has a problem with us, tries to get into everything we do in our department, as he finished dad asked again, are arrogant with others, be humble Logan, it helps you grow, all of sudden Mom spoke, ok stop lecturing him, it will not happen again, Right Logan, my brother nodded his head, and mom said again to dad, See, it was just mistake, let's have dinner, it's for Ava's send-off, let's not complicate it more. We had our dinner returned home, as I reached my room, I closed the door, took the Pen case and put it inside my desk, took a bath, laying on the bed I was thinking about what happened today.
Logan has been like this from his junior high school, I have seen him being a little dominant to others, as he was captain of many sports group, school topper in studies, he was a bit arrogant, but why were these two guys fighting like cats and dogs. As I was thinking about how Daniel looked a few hours ago, a chill ran my spines. He looked like Devil himself out from hell, come to unleash the hellfire on the earth. I was scared at that thought, I didn't know anything about him, even where Daniel lived, what his parents do, I was totally puzzled, and thought for some time, I thought let me ask Olivia for his details when I meet her, I need to know about Daniel, I slept, as my sister woke me with her usual bear hug, she cuddled me for few minutes before letting go of me, then she gave a list to do and left with my Dad and brother to the airport.
It was a week start, I got up early, got ready for school, Dad said he will drop me for some days, till I am all good. I called Olivia to inform her not to wait for me. My Dad drove to the other side of the gate of the church, helped me carry my bag, walked the small line road, that we walk to school. Jia waited for me at the gate, she took my bag from my Dad, and we went inside the school saying bye to my Dad, I didn't see Daniel, after some time Olivia came, she said she was dropped by her cousin, James has left yesterday to his base to report, Olivia showed me a new phone and said, James, gave me this mobile as a gift, I shook my head at her blushing face, we attended the class, as I walked out of the school I saw my dad, waiting for me, he picked us up, this continued for two days on the third day as we reached home when Mom said, Adam is difficult for you to drop and pick, Megan every day, let Logan drop her every morning and you can pick her in the evening, it's hardly a month for the exam, my Dad agreed with mom, next day Logan drove me to school in his bike, he stopped at the small road, and asked, can you really walk from here Megan, I nodded my head, I will be fine brother, don't worry, Logan again checked, can you carry bag and walk, or I will walk you, I shook my head and said, I am fine don't worry about it brother I can walk, it not even a yard. Logan nodded to me while running his hand on my head, and said, Take care, if not feeling well, ask your teacher to call Dad's office, then he slowly drove his bike and disappeared on the road. I tried to lift my bag, but I saw a figure bending down before me to lift my bag, I was amazed to see Daniel lifting my bag from the place where Logan kept.
Daniel smiled at me and said, Good morning Megan, I will help with the bag, let's walk, I didn't know what to say, as he put my bag on his shoulder, he walked ahead of me slowly so I can catch up with him, it was little early than our usual time, Logan, as to drop me early as he has to go to his school. The road was empty, it was only us both walking on the small empty road, my heart was pounding as if it was going to jump out of my throat. Daniel didn't speak nor did I, as we reached the end of the road he gave me my bag, and gestured me to go, I barely took my bag from his hands, but he helped me to put my bag on my shoulder, I turned to look at him and said, Thank you, Daniel, he smiled and nodded his head and said, Take care, Megan. I just walked away from him towards the school, I turned to see if he had left, but I saw the most stunning thing in these years when I noticed the person in front of me, he was dressed in black sweatpants and a button-down white voile shirt with his sleeves rolled up till his elbows showing his strong arm, his dark black hair, as usual, was tousled, and his sun-kissed charming face glowed in the morning sunlight, Daniel was leaning himself on the cherry blossom tree, with his hand crossed across his firm chest.
It was mesmerising, God.... I was not able to move in, I just craved to turn and run to Daniel and hug him as strong as I can, as I was lost in my thoughts, Daniel gestured me to go inside the gate.
