I stayed with my uncle and aunt in B City, but I was missing home.... honestly home? Am I missing it this time????? was a big question in my heart, I was terribly missed, Daniel..... I just wanted to talk to him, or just a glance would do. I called Jia and Olivia to check on how they both were doing, I missed Bella as there was no news about her, she never came back for our exam also, but few people who lent money to her Dad came to check about their whereabouts, but my dad said, we were not aware of any kind things about them, it was just like Bella had disappeared from the world to me.
Jia spoke about her vacation with her cousins in her hometown and she was just enjoying it, as well Olivia said, She was doing good, she was in her little aunt's place and James would be coming for a short leave, but I just wanted to ask about Daniel but, before I asked her, she said, "Hai Megan, Daniel called me to check on you, I told him, that you were in B City."
Then I asked, "How is he, Olivia, is he okay, how his exam going on.."
Olivia giggled, "ohi ohi... You're so worried about Daniel, Wow Megan, Tell me the truth, Do you Love him.... "
I kept quiet for some time, and said, "Olivia, I.... I... I love Daniel, but I am scared he may not feel the same way about me."
Olivia was surprised by my confession.
Olivia laughed out loud and clearly explained to me, that Daniel was in love with me or why was he worried about you, he calls me to check about you, why feel so insecure about James getting close to you, he, himself said, he likes you, to James, and that's why he was feeling uncomfortable seeing you with James.
"Megan, Daniel's Birthday is in next week, do you want to wish him?" Olivia asked.
I was a little confused about what to do... I was thinking deeply in my heart can I call and wish him but I didn't have his number, how will I get his number, as I was in my thoughts when Olivia called out loudly, Hai... Megan, are you there, "what are you doing girl"

It was evident that I was asking for his number, so I just nodded my head, but again Olivia started, "Megan...Megan...Megan are you dead, talk girl.... she was yelling, then I replied, "I nodded my head" why are yelling, you idiot. Olivia was chuckling, I can't believe you, Megan, you nodded your head, "Seriously" Megan this is a mobile phone, I can't see you on a call "Genius" when did your brain stop working, she questioned me and teased me for few more minutes, finally gave me Daniel number and ended the call.
I wrote Daniel number in my Dairy book, Yea I had a small dairy book where I update all-important incidents, every single thing in it. I waited for Daniel's birthday eagerly, as well I got a call from my Dad, telling me I have passed my 2nd year of Junior High School, with very high Grands, and was rewarded with a scholarship for the coming year. I was so happy, and Uncle was also so happy. He said I deserved a good gift, he took me and my aunt with my few cousins to KFC, a treat for my achievement.
A week passed and the next day was Daniel's Birthday, I waited until the clock reached 11:55 pm on the clock and called Daniel number, which Olivia gave,
His phone was ringing..... I was holding my breath, I was scared, anxious, nervous.... all at the same time when the call was picked by its owner, and Daniel asked in a sleepy voice,
"Hello, who's this?"
I was stumbling on my words, finally gathered my courage, and correctly at 12clock, I said "Happy Birthday"... Daniel, have a great year ahead, and may all your wishes come true."
I didn't hear anything from another side, but merely the breathing sound, then before I hung up I heard,
" Megan... Thank you, I didn't expect you to call me, Thank you so much for your wishes. I will wait for you to return."
I was so happy with his words, and I said,
"it's late Daniel let's hang up,"
But he stopped me, "Megan, wait... I want to tell you something," there was silence for seconds, then Daniel called out to me again, "Megan, I...i...." paused again, for a few seconds finally he told. "Megan, I Love You. I don't know if I can gather my courage again to tell you this, we live in an entirely different type of world, I know I am not in the same status as you are, but I will try and work hard to keep you happy, all my life, till eternity.... I promise this to you. "
I was dumbfounded by his words, Daniel was proposing to me, on a phone call, NO rose, ring, candle night dinner, couple dance... He just said it so simply?????? that too on a phone call. I was lose of words, I heard Daniel's horses voice. Megan, there is no hurry to answer me, take your time, I will wait for you to come back, without my reply, the call ended.
I was so very lost in my thought, and I was puzzled by his proposal. I had always dreamt of, my love of life to propose me, I have even written down in my dairy book, how I liked to be proposed, but now it was so simple, Daniel was not even in front of me, he did hold my hand, didn't cut on his knees, forget about 999 Red Rose, not even a single rose.... God... Daniel, you are such an ass******, you ruined my beautiful romantic dream. But why I am feeling so happy about your confession to me, than getting angry at Daniel, I am happy... Seriously, I am insane now.
