"Berry, you know you can't do that," Sheila begged with her eyes.
She had been trying to stop her mate from what he was trying to do, but that seemed to have proven futile, her attempts felt frail, as she felt she couldn't recognize him anymore.
It was as if he was a completely different person.
"I need to do this, I need to save the pack, he would destroy it if I don't," his gaze was hard almost as if he was trying to hold back a lot of things.
"Let's talk about this first, hmm," she tried to sound persuasive but she still couldn't get through to him.
It was as if his mind was set and it didn't matter what she said, he was not going to listen to her.
"We are not even sure it's true yet, what if the person was wrong," her voice was small almost as if she was also not convinced about what she was saying but then she pressed on.
