Chapter 91 - IMMORTALS; The will to live.

Node's eyes slowly opened, drooling from his mouth.

"Huh?"

On seeing Peirce awoken and Sniffia still tightly hugging him, his face brightened up while laying on the sand without lifting his body, he was too lazy to move,

"well, well, well, what do we have here? A boy back from the dead."

Peirce was totally confused, he looked around, only the twinkling of the stars were visible on the cloudless skies, he looked at where he was gripping onto the soft sands beneath his palms lightly illuminated by the twinkling stars as he regarded nothing but dimmed sands around them.

He glanced at Node laying on the sand half asleep.

"W-where… are we?" Peirce slowly enquired.

Sniffia broke the hug, "We are on our way back to Grandma, of course!"

Node sprung his upper body up from Sniffia's shout, as his long black hair were disheveled with sands.

"You went dead for like days after you—out of no where beamed out a large green pillar of light when we were on the run. We barely escaped from your rampaging light. Is that what you did back at the city of bounty hunters?... Are you sure you're an Inhumane just like--" Node revealed, dusting his hair.

"D-dead?..." Peirce wondered holding his chest area, did my heart stopped after that? He reasoned as Sniffia tried to hid her slightly burnt arm from Peirce's view.

Peirce spaced out for a bit contemplating also why he did that subconsciously again as he sat on the sand with his close friends.

Meanwhile at the Humane Kingdom, a towering icy object was seen from afar which appeared to have been materialized from the sky down to the ground noticeably where the Female Aurorae dwelled as seven Royal Guards in blue cape rushed to the scenery; two of them flew frightened about the Princess' whereabouts until they were aware of the towering icy object outside the castle and earlier, at the room of the Princess the frozen Royal Guards who were pulled out from the Princess's potency told the remaining Royal Guards what'd happened.

One of them with the potency of flight and three diamonds craved on his helmet gritted his teeth. Our indolent attitudes yet again has put us, the blue-capped royal guards in great danger for lowly having the competency to protect the Princess! This is mainly our fault for relying too much on the Divine Humanes. He said to himself, looked down to his subordinates.

"This will be our last time we the blue-capped royal guards make this sort of mistake in failing to protect the Princess. Coming from the Commander herself—bring back Princess Wren in one piece no matter what!"

"Yes, Sir!!" they all shouted.

On reaching the scene they were amazed on what they met. The towering icy object at close range appeared to be in a shape of an outstretched twirling frozen column that came from the sky looking as though a tornado was totally iced out of no where creating a wintry atmosphere around the perimeter.

"Oh my, are you guys seeing what I'm seeing?"

The Royal Guards flying all landed as their leader slowly leads to the scene. Then they felt a being swooshed through the air above them, the form lightened up in white flames.

In that space of time their mouth were wide opened.

"T-the King!!!" They marveled giving off a cold vapor from their mouth.

Randall observed the icy structure while in the air, he stared down at everyone on the ground, few of them were about standing up to their feet on a slightly frozen ground, he looked at where the Male Aurorae were. He breathed then landed strongly to the ground as everything juddered falling most of them that were standing back to the ground.

In an instant the air around got hotter as the ground steamed.

"WHO AMONG YOU MADE MY SONGBIRD DO THIS?!"

His white flames spewed out violently.

The Male Aurorae were so terrified they fell to their knees.

Is this how powerful their King is…?! One among the Male Aurorae quivered.

"King Randall?!"

"The King is here!"

Many of the Female Aurorae tried looking at the King in white flames glowing blindly in front of them but they couldn't see as they covered their faces with their hands.

"I REPEAT WHO AMONG YOU—?!"

"Uhm… Father I'm right here," Wren voiced from the underground stage.

"Huh?..." Randall turned his face, walked to where the underground stage was, his armored feet melted the ground as he moved.

He looked down, saw his daughter sitting against the frozen wall near a crater slightly breathing heavily as her braided hair were all over her face, she exhaled.

"Phew! This was… a little harder than I anticipated."

Randall without hesitation flew down as his white flames simmered down.

"What happened here, Songbird?" He worried.

He lifted his daughter up gently, shoved her braided hair from her face which she healed earlier with her healing bubbles.

"While you were out on your trip, things happened, Father. So I made a deal to the Male Aurorae."

She looked up as every young and old Aurorae gathered around with the Elderess at the front.

The Elderess inspected the icy structure for a while before glancing at Wren.

Not that he was weak but the Princess got much stronger than him in a bat of an eye… is she the crybaby-Princess I once knew of living in isolation at the castle from Humanes within these walls? She thought.

"As you can see, I won. So every antipathy between the two clans is solved on the result of this fight… at least for now." Wren declared.

Randall looked at the icy object within it shows a frozen figure. Then he affectionately put his hand on Wren's head.

"I'm glad you're fine, do you know how worried I was when I saw the clouds changed and the feeling of the extreme cold air, I thought something bad might have happened to you."

"Father, don't make me laugh," she removed her head from her Father's palm, then she pointed to herself.

"I'm more than capable to take care of myself and you know it, but you sounded as if… Father, anything the problem?"

Wren could tell something was wrong somewhere, her Father has never being this defensive and worried over her before, because she knew how strong her Father thinks she was.

Suddenly, a gasp was heard from the Female Aurorae.

Wren turned and gazed up.

Everyone gave way for Luna as her red hair covered her eyes with tears rolling down her face uncomfortably while holding Priscilla's body in her arms.

Wren's eyes widened, then she looked back at her saddened Father's face.

This can't be true... She said to herself about moving, Randall held her hand as he shook his head.

"I'm so sorry. There is nothing I could do. She… lost her will to live." Her Father explained.

Wren blinked. Luna's big sister... the Divine Humane of strength can't possibly--

Two mysterious creatures appeared unexpectedly behind Wren and Randall, she turned to them surprisingly saw the brawny-huge creature kneeling before her then the other exhaled then kneeled also.

Wren wasn't sure what was happening.

She looked at her Father never has she seen those two before. Are they beings from the Beast kingdom, who came to personally ask her Father to live here in the kingdom?

Then the brawny creature spoke; "We come to pledge our allegiance to the Protector, to abolish the sinful inhabitants who will rise and cloak this world in tribulation."

Wren looked at his Father once more then back to them.

"… and who can you be?..."

The brawny creature raised his head as the two-faced creature looked the other way.

"We are who this world know as the, Immortals." The brawny creature revealed.

Randall slightly widened his eyes, her daughter on the other hand was much more surprised than her Father.

Huh! The very first creations and the mythical race that lived alongside with the Dragons in this world?! The four Humanes of short stature were right! What Lord Jared and his followers encountered was true!

She looked around checking if any Dragon was at the scene.

Speaking of the four Humanes of short stature, where are they?
