Chapter 90 - Soul-Searching

*Cough* *Cough* *Cough*

The Commander knelt down as she coughed and groaned, visible veins in purple streaked out from her neck to her face inside the red mist enveloping the area.

She strained while searching for the King however she couldn't see anything as she gradually lost her consciousness, finally she fell to the ground motionless.

Suddenly the red mist was lifted just as white light illuminated from it, revealing Randall engulfed in his white flames carrying Priscilla on his arms protected by Beth's barrier alongside June and Beth, the remaining Humanes and other being near their homes laid on the ground also motionless by the effects of the red mist.

The brawny creature and the two-faced creature in black coat stood few distant from them.

"Our apologies," the brawny creature uttered with a bow, "we did this only to speak with the King personally. We mean no harm."

"Well, I'm happy barely three escaped from my blood stupor. You have my flattery." The two-faced creature licked her fangs, walked up to them but she was prevented from walking closer by Beth's barrier.

She glanced at June then Beth.

"Don't stress yourself, woman. You're carrying a precious child of the King."

Randall's and Beth's eyes widened.

The two-faced creature put her hand on her mouth.

"Oh~ did I say too much~?" She joked.

Randall slowly turned his head to Beth as the white flames engulfing his body simmered down.

He wasn't sure if the mysterious creature was telling the truth or not.

June looked expressionless as she glanced at the two mysterious creatures. Uncertain about their every existence here in the Humane Kingdom.

The brawny creature sighed then walked up to the barrier, placed the tip of his claw on it, in an instant the barrier shattered into nothing.

"We have wasted much time here, King Randall. Where is your daughter?"

"If one of you could sense an unborn child in a woman," June placed her right hand on her hip. "Looking for the princess won't be—" She related.

"—She is special." The brawny creature cuts in then rolled his crystal eyes to Randall.

"We need your utmost support in all these, King Randall."

"Ugh! That again. We should search and destroy everything in this kingdom maybe the Princess will finally show herself." The two-faced creature taunted.

She earlier searched the castle for the Princess however she met only ice-clones and two frozen Royal Guards.

Randall turned to them.

"Where is she?"

His white flames aroused! Suspected something was amiss.

Then suddenly a black hole appeared in the skies many distant away from them.

They all witnessed.

"Ha~ Found her." The two-faced creature said.

Many moments before the sudden huge black hole in the sky. At the Female Aurorae community, an underground stage was set presenting a girl and a huge brown-skinned male filled with melted ice pillars and craters on the grounds and walls that enclosed them.

The Female Aurorae and Male Aurorae all watched from different sides through the net-chains covering the top of the arena.

"Girl, this is the last time to forfeit this unspoken fight. Continuing all these,"

The Leader of the Male Aurorae observed their surroundings.

"There will be a time your pleading request wouldn't be heard when I put my serious fists in the way of your puffy face." He warned.

"The rules are the same after all."

Wren gave a thumps-down sign.

"You alone will bend the knees pleading for your life right here, right now." Wren told as five ice-orbs hovered round her.

"Fine by me. Here is a surprise just for you."

He removed a diamond knuckleduster clinched from his side, wore it around his knuckles then he chuckles.

"We shall see."

The Male Aurorae all loved the great show as they cheered their brown skinned Leader.

At the other side the Female Aurorae watched silently.

The rules in this fight was of course there was no rules.

"I love to see what you retain for me. Mister—whatever your name is."

Wren took in a stance ready to fight once more; to the tweenager. This was a fight she'd loved to be in over and over again.

The underground stage's rough walls and floors, the heaving of the chest with the heart beating fast of excitement, the aroma of the scenery; sweats dripping from the body and the pleasant sounds as it hit the rough grounds—This was a Princess that loved every bit of it!

"That's it. You are done for!"

He charged, Wren smirked.

Tapped her feet against the ground as ice-spike rose out from it, the Male Aurora took notice of it, leapt towards Wren reducing the space between them.

"Ha! You are done for!"

His fist raised high for a strong blow.

Immediately out of the ice spikes produced ice clones of the Princess just as they rained down on him.

Every single clone all got chattered by his fists.

Wren dodged many of the fallen ice debris propelled towards her among the frozen debris she swiftly moved to him with a kick towards the chin but he caught it.

The Leader of the Male Aurorae held her by her ankle then swung her towards the walls, she twisted herself in the air, landed on the wall with her legs sticking to it in ice.

She folded her arms with a sigh of relief; That was dangerous. She said to herself.

The Leader of the Male Aurorae gazed at her suddenly the hovering ice orbs behind Wren were right at the back of him. They all exploded pushing him to the ground with great force, covering him in sturdy ice.

He grunted knowing what actually happened to him.

"A child's play!" He raged.

Squeezed his body then broke it effortlessly as he did a spiky ice thrusted at him from the ground, he dodged it an inch away.

Resulting to a slash on his chin then blood slowly trickled-down from it.

He looked at the ice spike then to Wren, on the wall smirking.

He grunted broke it without a hitch then another came, he dodged it and another he also dodged it. As he dodged unknowingly for him series of bubbles were floating round him.

"These are the differences between you and I—" The Princess proclaimed waved her hands manipulating every bubbles in the area all stuck to him then it exploded on his body one after the other creating layers upon layers of sturdy ice.

"Good gracious. The Princess!—" One of the Female Aurorae cried standing near the second sister of Luna while spectating the bizarre scene through the nest-chains beneath them.

"You told me all about the princess' excitement she has while fighting an opponent now seeing this with my very own eyes well I could say the Princess is remarkable." The second sister of Luna said after. "Her increased knowledge of using her potency at this young age, she's indeed a maniac and also a genius at it." She glanced at her youngest sister.

Luna didn't say a word as she watches Wren.

Meanwhile Skylark surprisingly as it might seemed, he was in Luna's arms also watching the fight appearing just like a little child in the midst of the Female Aurorae.

Wren leapt down from the wall, dusted her dress and walked majestically towards the frozen Leader with a smirk plastered on her face.

"Here is the moment of truth—You can't beat me never in an hundred years."

"However, she is inexperienced." The Elderess puts before them. Everyone's eyes turned to her. "How many serious duel as she fought in? Maybe one or two but as an experienced fighter, one mustn't underestimates his or her opponents because they will always be an element of surprises." She looked at the other sides.

The Male Aurorae were still cheering their Leader no matter the outcome.

"And on the other hand, she is battling no other Male Aurora than the Leader himself. Look at the faces of the few Female Aurorae who had fought him over the years back they all recognized how strong he could be and how fatal this fight would be. She shouldn't prolong this fight and end it as fast as she should. It is a result that yet to be finalize as her being the winner."

Luna and Skylark eyes went round then both yelled synchronously.

"My—Princess be careful!"

Wren stopped, turned to looked at her personal Royal Guards wondering why they yelled such thing.

She had won this fight so she thought.

In an instant Luna, Skylark and everyone spectating heard a loud blast then a loud bang follows from the walls as everything quaked.

They all looked, the arena was covered in cold mist.

"Crazy brat!"

A familiar voice was heard within the cold mist.

"You still had the time to do this after been stroke off guard?"

The mist gradually dispersed. The Leader of the Male Aurorae arms were frozen as it emits cold vapor.

He'd broke out from the ice in a flash.

"I compliment such actions but this is nothing—"

Suddenly the atmosphere changed, the sky above them whirled together forming a huge black hole at the center.

Terror overtook Skylark's face while looking heavenward as the wind became strong and freezing.

This eerie scenery were familiar. He once witnessed it, that was months ago at the middle of his bath in the river, he caught sight of that same insane clouds building up just above the castle, then he looked down at where the princess might be; Is this her handiwork?!

After, snows and ice slid down from the black hole. The ground wind twirled as it attached itself to the twirling snow and ice above rotating into a tornado destroying the nest-chains.

Everyone took cover. Wren still smashed in the wall, her head lowered, dripping of blood down to the ground from her nose and mouth.

Then she raised her head, her braided hair fell over her face with a piercing blazing blue eye gazing at the Leader of the Male Aurorae.

"Oh, I'm sorry I tends to get this excited when my heart can't stop beating this fast."

She smirked, her braided hair sways in the cold wind revealing her bloody teeth with a closed eye.

Peirce impulsively rose up from his deep sleep.

His eyes glowed green for a while, his heart beats rapidly on the sand where he sat.

He held the jacket on him as he was very much in pain, strained grunting.

Sniffia who was laying near him slowly opened her eyes.

Her eyes dilated, she without hesitating raised her upper body spreading it on Peirce's resulting grains of sand to descent around them under the cloudless sky covered in small illuminous dots.

"Y-you are awake—Thank goodness!" Sniffia gloated.
