Many moments back. Wren hiding within the cliff's bushes grown around the Aurora's community which was entirely separated from the other Humanes and beings living within the walls of the Humane Kingdom as red smokes covered the skies.
"What are we looking at, my Princess?" Skylark questioned.
Staring down from the cliff, few houses inflames with a large bonfire centered, many figures could be seen facing each other and many laying motionless on the ground.
Seems the figures standing at the right side were much more crowded than the other.
"Hope I'm not too late." Wren stood up while she dusted her dress.
Luna walked out of the woods behind them carrying one of the unconscious Male Aurorae on her shoulder and a long, thickened rope rounded on the other shoulder, she earlier hid the Male Aurorae in the Princess's room away from the Palace and inspected the surroundings taking out few of the Male Aurorae cloaking around the bushes on the cliff then she tied the Male Aurora against a tree with the rope.
Wren turned, widened her palm forming a single bubble immediately it got frozen.
She walked up to the passed-out Male Aurora, Luna puts her hand on his jaw as she widened it allowing Wren to easily put the frozen ice in his mouth by manipulating, on entering it appeared notably big in his mouth.
Wren nodded to Luna over waking him up.
"I will do it." Skylark said before Luna could move.
"I've a trick that could wake him right up, may I, my princess?"
Wren looked at him then nodded.
He slightly bowed his head, removed a single feather from his right lemon wing glanced at Luna.
"Off his shoe."
Luna gazed at him for a while until Skylark sighed.
"Alright… will you kindly put off his shoe Milady." He sarcastically said.
Luna stared at Wren, the Princess nodded to go ahead.
Luna bowed her head, crouched, about putting the shoe off.
Skylark stopped her.
"Not that one, the left leg." He commanded.
Luna closed her eyes a little suppressing her anger towards Skylark so she did as he said.
"Well, thank you Milady." He smirked squatted, puts the feather's tip on the arch of the unconscious Male Aurora's foot stroking it delicately for a while.
The Male Aurora slightly fidgeted his legs and arms then the corners of his mouth were upturned with a yelp as the ice ball dissolving in his mouth dripped down, Skylark smirked.
"It's working."
The Male Aurora slowly opened his eyes, seeing Wren, Luna and Skylark at his front.
His eyes dilated, moved his body then looked down at the rope strongly tied on him.
He groaned about tearing it down.
Wren shook her head.
"I won't do that if I were you." She said,
"knowing the strength of an Aurora this rope was never strong enough to hold a Humane like you down nevertheless I have my ways. Feel the chilling ball of ice inside your mouth?"
The Aurora stopped, rolled his eyes down.
"If you move an inch. You will have ice spikes thrusting out from the ice ball within seconds and I won't tell you what comes after that since you know what will happen next if you cut the rope."
Wren held the Male Aurora by his red hair, she moved his face closer to her's.
"Well, try me and see, luckily I won't be the one with blood gushing out all over from the face." She threatened.
"Here is what we'll do to make things easier. I will ask a question, you will answer by nodding or shaking your head, meaning a yes and a no. And if you're lying. The guy at my left has the potency that detects lies. Do I make myself clear?"
Skylark blinked wondering who was the Princess referring to?
The Male Aurora looked straight at the blazing blue eyes of Wren then he slightly swallowed as he reluctantly nodded his head.
Wren smirked gently tapped his cheek.
"Good boy. How many are you out there…? Hundreds? Thousands? T— Oh? In hundreds… Good." Wren said, the captured Male Aurora nodded continuously.
"Were you sent here by the Nymphs, the Beings from beyond, the Inhumanes—"
The Male Aurora shook his head continually.
"Huh? You guys only came for revenge—"
The Male Aurora nodded continuously.
"And why is that?"
The Male Aurora stared into Wren's blue eyes for a while breathing heavily.
"They might be here all due to the way we treated them." Luna said behind Wren.
--
"We have observed this sacred ways of living as long as our ancestors could remember. Why break it now?" Said the Elderess in a long fancy shawl facing the leader of the Male Aurorae having a red buzz cut on his head and a single wound mark from his head to jaw passing across his left eye near the bonfire as it reflected on her and every other Aurorae there.
"Where are your Elders?!" She looked around.
--
"This is absurd to hear! Did the King agreed to this?" Skylark asked staring at Luna then to Wren.
--
"The corrupt Elders are long gone! We were abandoned by our mothers and sisters leaving us alone to rot away after the age of three by selling us for what reasons?! We only came to take what's ours. And your runaway King can't do anything about it if he agrees to our terms or not, we don't care."
--
"My father never agreed to such. He made claims to eradicate their unfairly ways of living." Wren stated.
--
"The Female Aurorae know how you felt, how I as a mother and every woman here felt leaving their sons and brothers to the Elders to take care of them, it wasn't easy for any of us for all I could remember our ancestors wanted both sides to live separately without depending on each other as the culture proclaimed."
--
"Not until greediness sets in between the Elders and among the Females Aurorae who transport the males children to them." Luna revealed.
--
"To hell with a culture of that! We were sold at the city of bounty hunters!" The leader of the Male Aurorae fumed.
"Sold?!" The Elderess gasped.
"Sold?... What do you mean by sold? Is the old broad deaf?! Look around, you won't see any of the Female transporters here with us?—They all flee knowing we were on our way here!"
The Elderess turned her face to the Female Aurorae gathered behind her,
"… Does Priscilla know of this?"
--
"Sadly my eldest sister had something to do with all of it because she was once a transporter, she never told me herself but it was all revealed to me by my sister's friend." Luna testified before punching a dead tree behind her.
At the same time the dead tree fell hard to the ground someone yelled from the Female Aurorae.
Skylark gulped as he looked at the dead tree thinking; This could be him if anything goes wrong between him and Luna ever again.
--
"How dare you accuse the Females transporters. The Female Aurorae is all about courage, compassion and determination. We can't stoop that low for few tons of diamonds!" One of the Female Aurorae yelled. "We have lost many lives from our side tonight all because many of us don't want to hurt each other's sons and brothers."
"Enough! With all your trash talk! It's useless talking to you any further than this. We only came here to take over!... Kill any one who resists." The leader of the Male Aurorae commander.
--
"Ugh!" Luna clenched her fist, Wren and Skylark looked at her.
"Sorry for that my princess… I… yet again regrets to be called her younger sister… I don't know who to side… is it the culture of our clan or the unfairly upbringing of the Male Aurorae…?"
"You've… a brother too?" Wren asked.
"Yes, sadly he died before reaching the age of five after being sold in the hands of the Male Aurorae." Luna lowered her face.
Her big sister could have stopped all this from happening but our brother's death broke her heart to the point she decided to take no actions only quitting the job of a transporter disheartened.
--
"How did it come to this?" The Elderess asked herself. Those good-for-nothing old fart participated on this uncanny things between them and the transporters. You will pay for this. All of you! The Elderess fumed in her thoughts.
Then the Female Aurorae all gathered in front of their Elderess ready to fight off the Male Aurorae from their land.
"We won't hesitate to kill every last one of our sons and brothers if you take another step towards the Elderess! Regretful to say the Female Aurorae can make a new one." One of the Female Aurorae stated.
"Hold it! I also have a say in this!" Wren shouted as she stood at a distant away from them with Luna and Skylark near her along the tied Male Aurora kneeling in front of them with the ball of ice still in his dripping mouth.
"Huh, what are you doing here? W-what about your duty to protect the Princess?" One of Luna's sister asked Luna before turning her eyes to the young lady beside her.
"… What in the—"
"I have a proposal to make." Wren declared.
"I heard the clan celebrates a rivalry fight every year in, called the clash between the Female and the Male Aurorae and the winner deciding on any matters given. Mind if I join. as the rules would say If you win, you will do what ever you want to the clan and if I win, weelll~ I'll think about that later."
"What business do you have here child, are you also one of them? But you look skinny as well shorter." One of the Male Aurorae scoffed.
"Ha very funny. Allow me to burst your bubbles then. I'm the Princess of this kingdom of which you beings aimed to conquer." She proclaimed.
They all laughed and giggled at the little girl talking to them.
Wren looked at the Female Aurorae then straight to the Elderess'.
"I'm also for them and they are for me." The Princess declared.
"Seriously. This is how deep this clan has fallen." The leader looked at the Elderess. "Are you allowing this little brat, a non-Aurora to decide the future of your clan?" He sighed.
"It has already been decided the very moment we made this kingdom our home." Luna's second sister noted.
He sighed. "Take care of them first."
Waving his hand as few of the Male Aurorae charged towards Wren and his Royal Guards suddenly they were all frozen by the Princess.
"A strong Aurora protects herself. A stronger Aurora protects everyone else." Wren walked passed the frozen Male Aurorae, pointing to the leader of the Male Aurorae.
"Fight this little brat and let the winner decides it all."
