"Huff! Huff! Huff!" Wren panted, looking forward, head slightly down with one hand high and the other low, guard up elbows down facing Beth with her body roughly turned to the side at 45 degrees and her feet grounded, roughly shoulder width apart as she took a sharp breath.
"Let's go again. This time you are free to use your potency. You told me you had something to show me"
"Finally the time as come," Wren reacted, waving her hands, "watch what I can do, lady Beth."
Seven bubbles were made out from her fingers which froze into an orb immediately, after leaving her fingers the floating ice orb skimmed behind her forming a heptagonal shape.
She looked at the orbs behind her back and smirked.
Beth rested her hands on her hips.
"That's new. What can it do?"
"This!" Wren said, thrusted her one fingers to the sky, in that order the ice orbs went in different positions then she raised two fingers towards Beth and with little or no warning two ice orbs hurled towards Beth but before it reaches her it chattered like a broken glass. "Right, I almost overlooked the barrier around you." Then she smiled, "that is just a distraction."
"... ... "Beth scoffed until she noticed her barrier freezing behind her, she slightly widened her eyes. Behind her few of Wren's ice orbs were attached just below Beth barrier.
"Freezzzeee!" Wren said in a slivery tone. Immediately, the ice orbs froze the parts where it touched completely in a blisteringly manner then another ice orbs came directly to the frozen part with great charging force, both the ice orb and the place it hits chattered making a hole in the barrier, yet another ice orb went through the hole reaching for Beth leg, she immediately dodged it by jumping over, coming out of the barrier she unleashed.
Beth landed far from her as the ice orb skimmed back to Wren.
"Good! You really did your homework on how to penetrate my barrier, but mind you the barrier you evaded was my lowest protection." She said as she rested her hand on her hip. "Let's see how far you can go. If I should go. On the offensive!!" Beth said, suddenly she dashed towards Wren with a twirling kick, Wren stepped back, snapped her fingers as the orb behind her went towards Beth's kick.
"That won't do. And you know it." Beth said with a smile.
In that moment she unleashed a barrier on her leg as the barrier and Wren ice orb collided together the ice orb chattered immediately, while Beth's kick went through with more force to Wren, moving back the princess lost her ground as the kick went in so fast for her to react then Beth stopped when her leg was almost touching Wren's cheek.
"Is like you are out of ice orbs." Beth simpered.
Wren grinned at her direction. "Count again." She countered. Beth blinked continuously looking at Wren in confusion. "Check behind your back. I left something there." Wren added.
Beth's back was completely frozen as the ice slowly spread through her back to her neck.
"How come? When did you… ?"
"I planned it. Remember when I froze your barrier, breaking it with another ice orb, you must have noticed the ice orb that went in was more bigger than every other ice orbs you chattered." She continued. "These ice orbs are on another level not like the bubbles, surprisingly they can be liquefied instantly then become solidified as well so immediately my ice orb went in, it liquefied and split into two which one went to me and the other went to your back when you jumped over the first one." She elaborated.
Beth dropped her leg and touched the freezing liquid as it reached her neck.
"Then why didn't I feel the coldness? If it's freezing."
"That's was my manipulation, but it deals same damages as what an extreme ice could do, this is all thanks in sparring against Father, I saw he could do something new to his potency earning him the ability of flight without showing his flames then I spent time to create my own and this was the outcome, merely perfected it yet." Wren waved her hands then the ice on Beth's neck and back melted.
Beth sighed as she put her hands on Wren shoulders, affectionately.
"Truly. Your reign will go down in history as the most strongest and smartest Queen there is." Immediately, she said it, they heard the bell chiming from distant, both Wren and Beth looked at the direction of the bell thinking what could be going on, the bell chiming by this time, it could mean so many things, like a invasion or evasion was about to happen, Kings or Queens from outside the Humane Kingdom visitation day, the Royal wedding...
Suddenly, Luna came running in, then she bowed.
"My princess, we have guests."
"Who?" Wren asked walking closer to Luna as she wiped her sweat on her forehead with her hand, still wearing the blue piece of Luna's cape on both arms.
A marked man suddenly, appeared at the middle of Wren and Luna, Luna without hesitation threw her fist to the man in front of her which the man easily blocked with his hand turning into a five slender and flexible stalks.
"Vine?!" Wren whispered.
"If he is here, that means… " Beth expressed,
He turned his head to Beth, "Yes. My lady. We are from the Forest Nymph Kingdom." The Man said with a smile, he removed his hand. "Sorry. Where are my manners." He added as his hand reverted to normal then he turned and bowed towards Wren's direction.
"Good evening. Princess or should I say. Princess Hylas Wren. The daughter of Memphis the Queen of the Water Nymph Kingdom."
Luna was furious by what the man said, she immediately, swung her fist towards the man again.
"Wait Luna!" Beth stopped her.
Luna stopped looking at Beth in front.
"But lady Beth, he talks as if he… "
"Don't worry, he is the guest you were saying earlier,"
"Our guest?! But they were at the gate, I was sent to tell you that." Luna said in confusion.
The Man put his hand on his mouth and chuckled.
"You are right big lady, but it seems we were tired of waiting,"
"Are you the one… that is here to… " Wren asked as she stammered, he shook his head,
"No. Not at all my Princess. Am just a messenger, a patron, a guardian, a hunter and a healer. I go by the name, Oshoshi. My Princess." He said with a bow.
"You know, Oshoshi you talk too much," Someone said from behind, they all glanced at the direction. A marked small boy with freckles on his face having a grey colored hair, dressed in their Forest Nymph formal attire with shades of green all round stood on the fence of the courtyard while folding his arms.
The man's face brightened up. "Oh! Master you must have gone around the Kingdom to see how big it is!"
"Yeah, yeah. Not that big." He taunted then he jumped down, "hmmm! I think she will be eighty eight," he nodded, "That's good, that's good." He said staring at Wren's behind.
She took noticed of him staring then she turned to him irritated. "What are you staring at?! You short brat! What do mean eighty eight are you calling me fat? ugh?! What about yours? It will be… " Wren raised her little finger, "Your pickle will be around this. No who am I kidding. Zero point zero, zero one inch."
"Did they know each other before?" Luna asked quietly from Beth, she shook her head.
"I don't think so."
The boy held his chin up and stamped his feet towards Wren, "What were you trying to say? You…"
"Cough, Cough!!" Someone coughed from behind they all turned immediately staring at the person behind them, their eyes lit up.
Luna and Beth bowed,
"Welcome, King Randall."
"Kii… nn… gggg... Randall?!" the boy whispered, "the man who single handedly beat our hunters including Oshoshi. What is he doing here? I was told he travelled out of the Humane Kingdom few months ago and he will be back in two days time. Wow! The cape of wrath; the most hottest material in all Kingdoms. I'm seeing it close this is unbelievable." He swallowed, looking at his cape.
"How does he wear that around?"
"It nice seeing you guys are getting along. More than what I was expecting." Randall smirked.
