Everyone eye brows raised including Wren's before the words of Dryad, this was so sudden for Randall also, he didn't see it coming even in hundred years that this forbear will be aspiring from the Nymphs Kingdom having to make the oath by themselves.
Oshoshi glanced at Wren then at his master.
"But master you didn't tell me all this before coming here!" Oshoshi said.
Dryad shook is head.
"I know Oshoshi, but I can't and I don't want to," Dryad answered in a low tone,
Oshoshi immediately stood up, Master can't just declined this matter like it never happened, going against the three Kingdoms oath is like the most impossible thing ever even for a Royal Prince.
"Master?!" he yelled, "This is never about you or about the Princess, the agreement was made between the former Kings and Queens of both Kingdoms before the division of the Nymphs. If you decline this, it will cause a great war between the Nymphs and the Humane, no matter what!"
"What about me. What about my life? Should I follow the dreams of my fore Fathers or should I follow the dreams of myself."
"Master? But it is for the purpose of peace and order." Oshoshi said in a low tone.
"That words, that same words," Dryad stood up, clenching his fist. Vibrated his body, "this can't go on like this... " suddenly, leaves appeared out of no whereas it twirled around him.
Oshoshi eyes widened.
"Master!!" he yelled before he reached Dryad, he disappeared right in front of everyone, leaving some leafs on the ground.
"He is gone… what should I do?!" Oshoshi said as he jerkily sat down while rubbing his forehead.
Wait a minute?! He thought. King... Randall should be angry at the rudeness of Dryad!
He looked at Randall, suddenly stood up and bowed. "Am sorry my humble King! I will bring him back here to apologize for his rudeness!!" he said, about going, Wren stooped him.
"Stay. I will look for him."
"But my Princess. Given that he chooses to walk all the way to your Kingdom, but he'd sleep throughout the journey here, he can be any where in the Kingdom."
"Don't worry. I know a place he will definitely be." Wren look at his father.
"Father I will be going."
Randall nodded then he smiled at Oshoshi direction.
"Please sit down, everything will be alright. Let's get to know each other more since you told me you knew me before I became the King, isn't it?" Randall said as he gestured his hand towards Oshoshi to sit down, Oshoshi swallowed looking at Wren, she nodded and left.
"Y—yes my king." Oshoshi wobbly said as he sat down.
...
Outside the castle, Wren and Luna stood looking at the stars, twinkling gracefully in the sky then Wren sighed.
Luna stared at her.
"My princess, any ideas where he could be?" Luna asked, Wren smirked while staring at the stars in the sky.
"Yeah. There is a place where even the people from the Forest Nymphs Kingdom will like to visit," she glanced at Luna with a smile. "Luna, stay here I will be right back." Wren commanded as she ran off, Luna bowed then walked back to the castle then she stopped.
The Nymphs and the Humane Kingdom, who would have thought there is something this huge between them? Was Big sister aware of this also? Luna clenched her fist then shook her head,
"This is none of my business," she said to herself, took one step and stopped once again.
"But I'm the Princess's personal Royal Guard, from the Aurora clan and being from my clan. We protect what is ours."
She told her self as she walked back to the castle.
-
Few minutes later. In a garden full with flowers and few little trees. Near the ponds were dozing porcupine-hedgehogs with their tip of their spine glittering as grey salmons reflected by the moonlights torpedo up in the pond, different variations of butterflies flustering around glowing in different colors under the twinkling stars with the wind blustering through the few trees and making the grasses around the garden to whisper, given the most welcoming fragrant scent in the air.
Dryad was sitting down near the pond at the other end staring at his reflections. Before long Wren walked towards the garden, seeing him from afar she sighed in relief.
"Thank goodness." She whispered and moved towards Dryad.
"Why did you run away?" she asked as she sat on the grass.
Dryad fidgeted,
"How do you find me?!"
"Really, that's your question? This is my Kingdom," she said as she shoved her braided hair behind her ear, also staring at her reflection in the pond, "Well I knew, you will be here, since the garden reminded you of home."
"Ha, Ha. Very funny." He sneered.
Wren sighed, Dryad looked at Wren,
"Sorry for rejecting you and not abiding to our Kingdom's agreement."
"Sorry?! Never mind that. I truly envy you, saying you declined the agreement in front of my Father. That was brave."
"You think so?" He asked in a low tone.
"Yeah. Fear is temporary. Regret is forever." Wren said.
Dryad gave out a harsh breath. "Being the Prince, is no fun, they tell you what to do, where to go, when to go and it annoys me. Why can't they leave me alone to live my dreams." He raised his head up, staring at the sky as the breeze gently swayed his white hair, "that is what I really want to do."
Wren stared at him.
"I understand, at least they don't tell you what to eat or how to dress but be thankful for who you are, to be born as a Prince. You know, many will die to be one. This alone is a dream."
"This was never my dream." He insisted as he looked at the grey salmons swimming majestically in the pond.
"This dream you talk about, what is it?" Wren asked, Dryad grinned. She looked at him.
Why do I get the feeling this so called dream of his is something immature? She wondered.
Suddenly, he stood up rubbing his hands together with a mirthfully smile on his freckled face.
"My dream is to study every womenkind behinds and writing a whole book about them!!!"
"Oh my bubbles! Anything but that." Wren said as she put her hand on her face.
Dryad sat down back, glanced at Wren's tiara on her head.
"Did you have any dream or you like being a Princess?" Dryad asked, curiously.
Wren removed her hand from her face then she stared at her reflection in the pond, lowering her eyelids.
"My dream. My dream." She said, Nostalgically. "My mother… "
Dryad blinked,
"Am so sorry. I didn't mean to."
"Never mind. Never mind me." Wren conversed. "I actually have many dreams. One is to become the strongest woman ever lived and to protect my Kingdom from any external forces." Wren folded her fist, tightly, looking serious as ever.
"Wow! Big sister!" Dryad eyes beamed while staring at Wren.
She looked at him in amazement then they both laughed.
"Are you guys having fun." A disembodied voice echoed around the garden as the wind around them became stronger, Wren immediately stood up scanning the whole area as both her and Dryad's hair and clothes quivered.
"Who goes there?!" Wren yelled.
Suddenly, the flowers and some of the grasses in the garden from a distance uprooted from the ground and twisted altogether like a whirlwind, inside it a shadow was seen.
"You don't need to know." The Shadowy figure said.
Dryad eyes opened wide as he stood up looking directly into the whirlwind.
"I know that voice. He is one of the Hunters from my Kingdom who was imprisoned by my father!" Wren looked at him, surprisingly then glanced at the shadow in the whirlwind also.
"You guessed right my Prince." The Shadow said revealing himself and three more Hunters behind him, smiling.
