Mary wasn't the only one keenly watching Rita as she waited for the drug to take control but Ian was equally observing, though he made sure to keep his line of sight very much coordinated to prevent the crowd from knowing anything, and in fact, in just a few minutes the drug immediately started showing signs of kicking in.
