Chapter 2 - Stalkers Prey And Soldier Of The Dead...

- Outer Red Forest -

(MC POV)

[1:26am]

As I made my way to Meg's position, I thought about how I was going to train all my abilities and techniques seeing as I had gotten them from the former Team 7 members so I had their experience and all their hard work to thank for my new strength, however I couldn't just rely on that seeing as how I would have to leave this place someday and go to another dimension thanks to Sasuke's Rinnegan.

Also, there's the matter of creating my own techniques should I ever decide to go to the Naruto World, then I wouldn't have to get copyright striked by Team 7 for blatantly copying everything about them.

Anyways I decided to make my final decision on whether I should recreate some jutsus from the Anime's (Naruto, Naruto Shippuden and Boruto) and their respective Manga, after I familiarised myself with this world and at least met some of the survivors and Killers, so for now I'll just stick with the default stuff I got for Team 7.

While walking I spread out my Chakra Sense for any life forces nearby and managed to find two Northeast of my current position which was one to two kilometres away from the exit gate I left through.

I quickly hopped into the trees and made my way to the two signatures and after about 6 minutes I had gotten within range to use a body flicker to instantly teleport above the signatures, in which I did so and I was surprised at who I had found…

Laurie Strode and William 'Bill' Overbeck.

I decided to stay above them as they seemed to be in the middle of a discussion, so why not listen in like a good little ninja…

--- With Laurie and Bill ---

"I don't think we're going the right way old man, are you sure the camp was this way?" spoke Laurie as she paused in her walking and turned to question the old man to which he just shrugged and scoffed with a disgruntled look on his face.

"Trust me girl, this is the right way, I've already been this way to get to the damn camp 27 times in the last month or however long it's been since I got here" said Bill uncaringly as he too stopped walking and decided to sit down on a nearby log to rest.

"27 times huh? Then you should probably know what is going on right? With the whole freakish spider legs sucking out survivors' souls and Killers roaming around! This is my 7th time in this hellish place so more information would be nice to gather" said Laurie as she leaned against a tree opposite Bill and slid down to take a seat on the grass floor.

"Girl just because I've been here longer doesn't mean shit can just be understandable after a few times of surviving and dying, however all I can say is that during the last 26 times I've been 'taken' and placed in that Death Game I've learned that the Killers are just like us survivors in which they had also been taken unwillingly or have been enticed by 'The Entity' to keep doing their killings but in a more controlled environment while making it gain more strength from the sacrifices they make out of us survivors, as far as I see it 'The Entity' is a Hungry Soul Sucking Godlike Being" Spoke Bill as he gazed at her solemnly.

Laurie just sat there in slight shock about the news and information she had just heard.

"S-so how are we supposed to defeat this thing and stop the Killers?" she inquired as she regained her posture and recovered from her slight shock.

"We can't beat that thing as is, seeing as how the Killers are connected to it thus making it so they are essentially 'Immortal' as they don't age or need food and water to survive, some of them like 'The Trapper', who likes to hunt for food with his traps, and 'The Huntress', who likes to hunt with traditional hunting tools and techniques, only do it because they either had it ingrained into them like all living organisms or just find amusement and satisfaction in hunting the weak and powerless" he responded back tirelessly with half dimmed eye's.

--- Back with MC ---

'Damn this old man is pretty well informed despite not having a lot to go off of, but then again this is Bill from the Left for Dead series so it makes sense when you know he's ex-military with two tours in Vietnam and has an Zombie Outbreak behind his name' I thought as I listened to their conversation while swirling a kunai around my finger from the ring part.

'Hmm…he said he has been at it 27 times already meaning that he just got back from his 28th time either surviving or dying, as well as him revealing that their are more Killers so I wouldn't have to just assume that 'The Huntress' and 'The Trapper' are the only ones and that there is in fact other Killers, the only question that remains is what other Killers have entered the fog and ended up here besides 'The Trapper' and 'The Huntress' 'I thought over the facts and information on the Killers Identities.

'Anyways I think that's enough for information gathering, might as well introduce myself casually' I thought while unceremoniously cutting off the Chakra from my feet and dropping down with a superhero landing 9 feet away from them.

*Thud*

*Gasp*

I heard Laurie gasp as she quickly turned her head towards my location and jumped to her feet while Bill slowly followed afterwards due to his old age slightly hindering him, they both gazed at me warily and Bill looked as though he was going to grab something from his back pocket.

Seeing the situation slowly escalate, I decided to just introduce myself to cool the situation down and stop it from becoming heated. Well literally in my case because of Naruto and Sasuke's Inferno Style/Fire/Lava Release.

"Yo How's it going?" I said while slouching my back and placing one hand in my pocket and waving my hand with the other.

*Silence*

OK… This got awkward real fast…I'm pretty sure the tension could be sliced with how thick its gotten.

"Any of you know the way to get to civilization, I've been searching for the whole day" I spoke earnestly while shifting my weight to my right foot.

That's when Gramps decided to speak up.

"No we don't know, kid we've been searching for 2 days now and have yet to locate it" he said cautiously as he thumbed something in his jacket.

'What a blatant lie, at least try harder…' I thought while maintaining my hip and cool posture like Kakashi-Sensei.

"Well damn, and here I was hoping you folks knew the way because my sense of direction sucks so I kept getting lost and already circled the same area three times, fortunately I heard you folks and followed your voices here." I told them with a half-truth spilling out.

Now don't get me wrong but although my sense of direction was bad I would say that at least I'm proud of not having Roronoa Zoro's level of direction…Thank God…

As I refocused on them I saw Laurie gazing at me with a questioning but curious look on her face, although it looked like she would run at anytime.

I looked towards Bill and acted as if I just understood the situation and slowly raised my hands up in the air and said.

"Whoa sorry for getting in between you and your daughters quarrel, but I thought you folks could help out an-"

"She's not my daughter!" "He's not my dad!"

They both shouted as Laurie got flustered and gramps got more grumpy.

"Ok, Ok I got it, geez you ever think of joining a rock band, I'm sure you'd both gain fans within the first few hours…"

Now both of them looked grumpy and Bill looked as though he would summon a mini-gun on my ass.

"No?…just a suggestion…"

--- 25 minutes later ---

"Why are you following us!" questioned Laurie as she walked in step with Bill.

"Huh, I thought you guys were helping me?" I answered back while tilting my head to the side and following behind them.

"We never agreed to help you in the first place kid" spoke Bill uncaringly while treading along.

"Damn where's your sense of patriotism, I'm a citizen of the US and isn't it your duty to protect and serve the country along with its citizens, guess that uniform doesn't mean anything to you" I spoke straight back at him in an attempt to get him all riled up but unfortunately it seemed to have failed.

"That patriotism died a long time ago kid, just survival of the Fittest left in its place" he returned while glancing back at me only to see my pitying gaze. He scoffed and looked back to the front.

Even Laurie gave him the same look mixed with one of understanding.

'Guess her years of dealing with Michael Myers gave her an understanding of what cops, celebrities and soldiers deal with occasionally'.

We continued to walk for another 10 minutes until I gazed at the moon and saw that it must've been around 2:00am.

'But then again, does time even matter in this dimension, I guess not with how no one ages past their current selves'

Spreading my Chakra sense out I searched the area and found that there were a lot of signatures ahead of us but I also sensed a few hostile signatures heading towards our location from the east, judging by all the negative emotions I could sense and boy were they hungry…

I sped up and walked up to the duo who looked at me questioningly and as Laurie was about to speak up we heard a sound in the distance.

"AWHOOOO"

They both froze as Laurie turned pale and Bill quickly snapped out of it and retrieved a knife from his pocket while speeding up as well.

I grabbed the frozen Laurie by her hand and pulled her towards the camps direction.

"Come on!" I urged her to get moving again and this seemed to snap her out of her trance as she looked at our hands and quickly pulled her hand back while running ahead of me.

I followed after them as I maintained my Chakra sense and after about 3 minutes of running I could hear a few thumps heading our way.

Laurie looked at us as if to ask what we were going to do as she never fought a pack of wolves or anything else apart from a serial killer.

"Both of you carry on and get to the camp I'll hold them off for as long as I can, it should be straight ahead, 12 minutes away give or take". Said Bill seriously as he looked at Laurie.

"But how! You could barely walk let alone fight a pack of wolves!" rebutted Laurie as she looked at him worryingly.

"Don't worry about me girl, this old body still has some fight left in it despite its expiration date nearing" he said reassuringly and confidently.

I secretly walked up to him and tapped a pressure point on his neck, causing him to fall unconscious, fortunately I caught him before he hit the ground.

Laurie quickly ran to him and lifted his unconscious body while glaring at me threateningly.

"What did you do to him!?" she said threateningly.

"Don't worry he's just unconscious, he'll regain consciousness in half an hour that should be enough time for you to get yourself and him to this camp he spoke about, now get moving" I said while maintaining my Kakashi pose.

She just stared at me for ten seconds and then slowly got up while raising one of Bill's arms around her shoulders and proceeded to move towards the camp.

*Sigh*

I turned towards the direction of the pack and leaned against a tree as I heard them coming.

'2 minutes till they arrive' I thought nonchalantly.

While listening to them I also heard something else coming from the direction Laurie took the unconscious Bill.

"Thank You…"

I smiled.

"Time to hunt some mutts…"
