Chapter 7 - 2v1 or 1v1? What A Monster...

Chapter 6 - 2v1 or 1v2? Either Way, I'll Dominate...!

-- MC POV --

"Come, let me show you my prowess in Mortal Kombat" I said with a come and get it gesture as Bubba stomped towards me, Chainsaw swinging wildly.

As soon as he got within range, I burst forward and dodged his Chainsaw, keeping an eye on his arms and upper torso area as him getting even more annoyed would make him more unpredictable with his swinging.

Even though it wouldn't really make much of a difference, as it's still like he was moving in slow motion for me, he might as well just been standing still.

I watched as he swung down at me again and kept dodging as I was forcing him to leave himself open, I could've struck various parts of his body, but where would the fun be in that if I took him down in less than 10 seconds?

After a minute or two, I decided to get serious and started to hit his various openings, making him stumble and groan slightly as even though I was hitting him gently on my side, on his side if must've felt like getting rocks the size of his hands, continuously pelted at him.

After a few seconds I stopped and backed away to let Bubba catch his breath. I stood there as he was breathing a bit heavily with my arms crossed and a light smirk playing on my lips.

"Aww, is little Bubba all tuckered out? Why don't ya put your wife down and take a seat, just until everyone leaves this realm" I said in a suggestive tone.

He growled in response and looked to be about ready for another round of cat and mouse. However he paused just as he was about to resume the game, looking towards something behind me or rather someone behind me.

'So the unknown killer decides to finally make his presence known' I thought as I tilted my head to the left and a knife swooshed past where my head had been.

"Wow! sneak attack? Really? You thought that you could get me with that speed and tactic? Why don't you just mail me the knife, it would've reached me faster than you delivering it" I cracked at whoever it was behind me and side stepped to the left to get a better look.

It was Ghosty.

Oh goody. Two Crazy and Childish murderers.

Welp time to mess around with my new victims of trolling.

Sorry Sissy, you've been replaced.

"Well hello there my good sir, fancy meeting you here of all places but at least it's under the best conditions, blood splattered on the walls, junk sprawled about, lockers with nothing in them and a big gigantic invisible eye watching us have a marital dispute in a slaughterhouse, the best conditions indeed, wouldn't you agree?" I spouted out in an endearing way. At least I think I did.

Ghosty stared right into my soul and waved at me and I walked up to him and put my arm around his shoulder as if I was talking to an old pal.

"Hey buddy, ya like playing games?" I asked curiously.

He looked at me in interest and nodded his head to confirm that he did as Bubba just watched us in confusion.

"Well I got a great game we could play, it's called 'Blood Run', here's how it goes, one of us, that being me, will walk out of this basement, I'll wait for 30 seconds and you have that time to make a plan to kill me with Bubba and Sissy, if she shows up, after exiting the basement you are allowed to attack me in any way you can and I will stay still, your goal is to make me move a few steps, however if I move myself it doesn't count as you didn't move me, if you succeed, I will help you track down the other survivors who are dumb enough to stay when the exits are powered and opened, so how about it? Wanna play?"

He put his hand on his chin and made a thinking gesture and as he did so the last two generators went off signalling the inevitable end to the trial as the seconds ticked by.

Hearing the generators go off, the both of us glanced at each other and I shrugged as if saying that it was his choice. In response he lowered his hand and lifted his other one and made the gesture of slitting his throat at me.

So what he was basically saying was that he agreed and that I was dead for playing with him.

Sorry bud, but you ain't no Jigsaw.

I chuckled to acknowledge his threat as nothing but a threat, whether he could be able to do so in the end is up to me. I backed off and started walking away to the entrance of the basement, my back towards them to see if they would make a move so I could as well.

Bubba was hesitating and was about to move forward but Ghosty held his hand up to signal him to wait, Bubba however didn't acknowledge his signal as to him, anyone that's not his kin is not worth receiving his loyalty and certainly not his help. Not even the Entity could keep him in check if he truly fought and resisted with everything he had, but since they had an agreement for receiving the flesh of the survivors while it got the soul, he had no qualms against it.

So without further procrastination he moved past Ghosty and made his way upstairs. Ghostface watched while gripping his gloves in slight anger.

-- With Connie & Kate --

They had been moving back towards the way they had came as soon as they left the basement, walking past the now quiet hole that Sissy still hadn't managed to get out from as it was too deep and steep to traverse back up.

Sissy watched as they peaked out over the edge of the hole at her with bloodshot eyes and a slightly hoarse throat from screaming bloody Mary at them since they left.

They looked smugly at her and retreated as she threw one of her Bane bottles at them and quickly ran away. Once they were a safe distance away, they trudged through the forest and came up to a huge clearing with a shack and an half completed generator next to it.

They quickly got to work and got it done in a minute, after finishing the generator they walked into the shed to look for anything useful and found a chest in the corner next to a locker.

Walking towards the chest Connie fiddled with the lock on it until Kate, who was looking around at the other junk laying around, spotted a small broken cabinet hanging from a wall behind Connie, it looked like it was barely holding on from falling.

She walked towards it and tried to gently pry it open, succeeding she looked inside while slightly tip-toeing and spotted a old flashlight and next to it there was two lock picks, she grabbed the items and tested the flashlight, after a few tries it turned on but flickered occasionally.

She switched it off and walked up to Connie who stopped fiddling with the locked chest and was waiting for her. Kate handed the lock picks to Connie who happily took them and started to work on the lock, after about 25 seconds she unlocked it and put the extra lock pick in her jean shorts, opening the chest they found two items, another flashlight that was in a better condition than Kate's, as well as a large sized medkit with some basic stuff like adhesive tape, elastic wrap bandages, super glue, rubber tourniquet, 14 french catheters, nonstick sterile bandages and roller gauze in assorted sizes, eye shield or pads, aluminum finger splints, instant cold packs, cotton balls and cotton-tipped swabs, serveral pairs of disposable nonlatex examination gloves, duct tape, petroleum jelly, small plastic bags. Safety pins in various sizes, scissors and tweezers, hand sanitizer, antibiotic ointment, antiseptic solution and towelettes, eyewash solution, a thermometer, turkey baster for flushing wounds, sterile saline for irrigation, surgical mask, four syringes, medicine cup and a plastic spoon, a first-aid manual and hydrogen peroxide to disinfect.

There was also some medications such as aloe vera gel, calamine lotion, anti-diarrhea medicine, laxatives, antacids, antihistamine, such as diphenhydramine, hydrocortisone cream, cough and cold medicines, auto-injector of epinephrine, pain relievers and ibuprofen.

This was a very big haul as they were running low on medical supplies back at the camp forcing Claudette to make some makeshift bandages and tinctures with a few supplies only used in emergencies in case the impromptu stuff didn't work.

Seeing as how she was a little stronger than Kate and with her agreement, Connie picked up the Medkit while attaching the flashlight onto the strap on her jean shorts. The medkit weighed her down a bit, making it so she would have some difficulty if it came down to having to run away.

Grabbing the things and leaving the shack, they made their way towards the opposite side of the forest and after a minute the last generator sounded out across the forest, signalling to them of the last few minutes left to the trial as once the gates were powered they would be on a 2 minute time limit to escape.

"Hey Kate, do you think Preacher's going to be alright? I mean he is fighting back unlike us..." Connie asked after not speaking since they left the basement.

Kate looked at her and thought about her response a little before replying.

"I feel the same, even though it hasn't been a day since we met, I still get the feeling that he's someone we can trust, it's why I listened to him when he said to leave him and go and because I believe he can win, as he did beat up and kill a bear with some knives and martial arts" she said reassuringly as they continued walking.

"He told us to go not because we were in danger, I mean we were but I know he is smart enough to know he can protect us and fight Bubba at the same time, otherwise he wouldn't pick a fight just for people he barely knows, he's aware of his capabilities and we should trust that he knows what to do, so while he's doing what he can, we'll do whatever we can to not burden or slow him down".

Connie put her head down in thought and silently agreed with Kate.

'Just do what we can and survive' she thought to herself.

With newfound determination, she walked to the exits or at least the direction of one of the exits. As they made their way to the exit, they ran into Quentin who look to be more sleep deprived and a little jittery.

Probably because of Bubba as it should of been him and that other survivor who ran into him, maybe there are others but so far they only met the two of them (Ada and Quentin) and no one else made their presence known.

Talking to him on the way and asking about if he's seen anyone else, he told them that he met a witch like survivor and and a man in black with shades that didn't chase or hurt him, just observed from a distance, which creeped him out a bit, feeling as though he would get captured instantly if the man chose to do so.

Connie thought about what he told them and felt as though she was a little familiar with the other survivor with the witch apparel and the man in black shades. Kate also felt the same.

"I think I know who you're talking about, if I remember correctly, I met that witch survivor twice before in two of my previous trials and had a run in with that man once before as well, he didn't do anything apart from observe me and the others" Said Connie as she voiced out her thoughts. Kate nodded in agreement.

"I also had a run in with the Man in black, and the witch survivor, except he did chase after one of the survivors during the trial I saw him, it was a blonde haired woman who looked like she did a lot of fighting with how she dodged and even fought back a bit, although she did get hit and almost lost if she didn't get help from another Survivor and escaped" Kate sound out as she put a hand to her chin in thought.

"Hey Quent, did you by any chance see anyone else or anything interesting?" Asked Kate.

"No I haven't seen or heard about anything else" Quentin replied as they had finally made their way to the exit gate and saw it that all two of the three red lights on the switchboard were lit up meaning someone had already made really good progress in opening the gate.

"Who lit up two of the lights? Don't they know it will be harder to complete even when it's almost done as the Killers will be watching" Said Quentin in a tired tone, expressing his sleeplessness and annoyance at whoever did so.

Just as they were about to go up to the gate and finish the switch, they heard a voice call out to them from behind, startling them and quickly making them turn around.

Connie and Kate recognised the figure as the woman from the basement a few minutes earlier who nearly got them killed.

"It's you!" They both exclaimed in slight anger.

"Well, well look at what the cat dragged in, some kids looking to get digested by a psychotic flesh consuming Redneck family" Ada spoke out sarcastically with a hint of mocking in her tone.

"Why are you here?, have you come to get us killed for real this time!" Connie said angrily.

"I could care less of what happens to anyone else who's not me and just for the record is was you who ran to my hiding place to get me caught, so I see no reason for you to be angry at me for reversing the situation onto you" she said in a calm voice befitting her occupation as a spy/mercenary.

"Thats-" Said Kate before getting cut off.

"-Not true?, I thought you were just unwise, but it turns out your just plain stupid, now hurry up and open the damn gate before they show up..." Said Ada as she walked with a certain amount of allure to her steps, she went into some bush's and blended in with the foliage.

Watching her go and disappear, Quentin having realised the situation could get dire at any moment if a killer showed up, went up to the switchboard and pulled down to finish it.

Connie and Kate watched his back with them turning around and observing the surrounding forest in front of them.

Just as the third light was about to come online, a figure jumped out of the trees in front of them, this got them spooked as they hadn't noticed anything even while paying close attention to any danger.

However, they calmed down as they saw Preacher walk towards them with a smile on his face and his arms behind his head.

"Yo, glad to see you guys are safe" he said with warmth to his smile.

-- 10 minutes earlier with MC --

As I walked out of the basement, I extended my chakra sense to make sure the others made it to safety and sensed them heading the same way we came from and where sissy was still indisposed at.

I chuckled and started sensing in a different direction, I felt 3 chakra signatures on the opposite side of Kate and Connie with one of them trying to hide their presence from everyone, unfortunately they couldn't hide from me.

"Must be another stealthy killer or one that can hide their presence from normal humans" I mused quietly to myself.

I started tapping my fingers to my bicep and humming a tune of a song from my previous life.

After 15 seconds Bubba came out from the basement entrance and made a mad charge towards me. He started to rev his chainsaw up and raised it to strike at me.

I sighed and moved a bit to dodge and clenched my fist while putting a little strength into it.

"Sigh, sorry bud but you broke the rules and I don't like rulebreakers unless I'm the one doing the rulebreaking, so I'm sorry to say, your out, goodbye..." I said sadly and in a disappointed tone.

And off he went to go pursue his goals in life, with one 'gentle' tap I provided him the assistance he needed in order to do so.

He flew a few feet after my fist made impact with his chest and this helped him in fixing and replacing his loose screws as I could almost see cartoonish looking birds flying around his head, almost, being the key word as I wasn't Sun God Nika with pseudo Toon Force.

I waited for Ghostface to comr out and as he did, he looked at Bubba and shook his head in disappointment.

"I feel you, Bobbie I feel you" I said walking up and tapping his shoulder in order to console him. He drooped his shoulders in mock sadness like he lost his best friend.

"Anyway are we gonna keep playing or do you want to hold off until we got more time in the next trial, as I see no point in a one minute game" I said to him nonchalantly.

He recovered quickly from his depression and made a so and so gesture as he agreed but also disagreed so I shrugged.

"Well how's about a quick round of 2 minutes 'Blood Run' then we can continue next time and I'll try to get the other survivors to join in, sounds fun right?" I told him with a sly look on my face.

Instead of answering me with a gesture, he just sprung straight into the action with a slash to my throat, to which I responded by leaning back a little so it missed by 4 inches.

Having seen that coming Ghosty adapted quickly and twirled the knife so it's facing the opposite way and tried to cut my stomach as he brought it down and across to where it was.

I bent my body like I was using Kami-e from One Piece and dodged just in time. Seeing my body contort at a weird angle, Ghosty looked at me in bewilderment and I could swear I saw the mask change expressions to match his mood.

There was a brief pause in silence as we stood watching each other as I curiously tilted my head and took a step forward, he looked as if he was ready to pounce again as I saw him fix his expression to his default one and taking a leaping position.

I moved my hand in front of me and took Might Guy's fighting stance, the Strong Fist Style, this was only thanks to Kakashi and Sasuke's knowledge and memories as they had copied it from their taijutsu rivals Guy and Lee.

I took a deep breath and exhaled using water and wind nature to create a small icy breath. Witnessing the icy breath leave my lips, Ghosty looked confused as it was a warm sunny evening. Looking straight at him I made a come get it motion with my hand and he rushed at me.

He started to attack my vitals and tendons, showing me that he was quite experienced and had some training. I was started to agitate him little by little as he was swinging more wildly as time passed by.

I had only been dodging and redirecting his strikes and slashes without having been moved from the spot I was standing in the beginning.

A few minutes passed by, I think around 3 minutes had gone by, so I decided to end things as I diverted his next blow and side stepped to twirl around him and get behind him.

He got startled at my sudden unexpected move and was unprepared for the flick I was about to give to his spine to paralyze him as I'm sure the Entity could heal him if he got injured somehow.

Putting just one percent strength into my flick, I did as I had thought and flicked his spine to paralyze and traumatize him. He wimpered like a little puppy and groaned in pain as he crumbled to the floor.

"Sorry bud, but it's a minute over our playtime together and unfortunately you lost so let's continue this next time and why don't you take a nap for me?" I said nicely and proceeded to kick him into unconsciousness with strength a bit above a normal humans.

"Now then time to head on over to the others and get out, it's gotten a bit boring, hopefully I'll get more fun in the next trial..."

As I was about to leave and make my way to Kate and Connie, I felt a pair of eyes watching me from a distance and nonchalantly tilted my head to look over my right shoulder and into the eyes of one Albert Wesker.

While making eye contact, I disconnected our staring contest to look around the area as my thought at that moment was along the lines of 'If he's here then one of his fellow residents must also be nearby, a landlord must always be ready to hound and bark with his residents afterall' and that's exactly what Wesker was, a landlord as was seen in the Arklay Mansion when he took his team out for dinner, except they didn't get a single bite.

Sure enough I could spot Chris Redfield watching from afar with some binoculars and with Jill Valentine standing next to him with a makeshift Sligshot in hand. It made sense as she and any other survivor that would normally carry a gun had to make do with what they had as their guns were confiscated by the Entity.

I chucked to myself and turned my head back to look ahead, as I took a step forward I slid a kunai from a seal on my arm into my hand and flicked it over my shoulder faster than they can see and continued on forward, silently blending into the foliage around me, vanishing right before their eyes.

Sorry but I already had my fun and it's time to take a nap.

-- Albert Wesker POV --

Hmm...

It's been quite a while since I've had to be put on hunting duty.

I watched on as the Spider like limbs appeared before me once again, sitting in the abandoned underground bunker I had managed to locate at the end of my forth trial.

Intriguing little limbs they are, being able to express more than just gestures and emotions despite not having any fingers or paws to use sign language.

I couldn't tell at first what they had wanted with me when they first appeared so I had tried to attack them as I had the inkling that it was some bio-weapon created by Umbrella without my knowledge.

Wanting to test it out but also be cautious, I had struck it and retreated to observe the 'Entity' and it's reaction to my offense.

It had no effect...

Amazing. Simply Amazing.

It's durability was levels above the bio-weapons sent into Racoon City. Whether it was T-00, Nemesis T-Type, or even T-011 and 008.

I want it. I need that power in order to become a God. The God. Of this world and many more.

Once I have that power, nothing will be able to stop me, not those annoying pests of S.T.A.R.S and no other Bio-weapon.

Power rules over all. I have the intelligence and the starter pack for strength. Now I just need to level it up. This thing is the key to my Godhood.

As I was lost in my thoughts of Divinity, the 'Entity' gestured for me to come closer, after some contemplating I decided to see what it wanted and as soon as I got within range I kept myself on guard as it could attack me in return for my previous aggression.

However, contrary to my initial belief, it merely raised its leg to touch my arm and I felt my vision fade to darkness.

When I awoke, I was standing in a familiar locker room. One that I had grown accustomed to in my career as an undercover spy for Umbrella.

This only meant one thing.

I was back in Raccoon City. Back at the Police Station.

How truly Fascinating.

I hid as I heard footfall coming from outside the room and watched as Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy rushed by.

I laughed quietly to myself, now this is interesting.

Let's begin the hunt, shall we?

-- the end of his first trial --

I awaited the end of this game as the two pests had managed to barely escape, just barely.

The time ticked by as the gates powered down and I stood by as the last survivor got out in the nick of time.

The other 'killers' were upset for losing their prey, I however was not as I knew that there would be a next time even if this was my first time. After a minute of waiting, those arachnoid legs returned and gestured towards the gate and after a little hesitation, I walked forward and followed the other Killers as they walked in silence towards a specific direction.

We passed by some familiar locations like Kendo's Gun Shop, Paul's Burgers, The Waste Treatement Plant and onto Park Street until we made it to West Park, where there was a camp set up in the middle of the park.

I stopped my observation of the surroundings and stayed behind to watch as my other 'Comrades in Murder' did their own things, while some just sat idly and did nothing.

In total there was 4 others besides myself, making the overall count 5. After watching them for a while I decided to see if I could leave this area in order to search the city for anything of use.

Even if this is my first time in this unknown yet familiar place, does that mean that this is truly Raccoon City or is it just an imitation?

Are there any other infected here? What about the Tyrants sent to the city on their respective missions? Are there any other Umbrella Employee's still within the city?

So many questions and so many variables to take account of and yet little to no knowledge of them.

That...

Is truly detestable.

Nonetheless I will find out.

A God needs to be All-Knowing afterall...

-- Some Days later --

How laughable...

This is really getting on my nerves...

I have spent the last few days trying to find any way out of this damn park and had yet to succeed.

There has been two occasions where I was summoned by those legs to partake in the hunt of survivors.

After coming back from my third trial in which I had ran into a familiar face belonging to one Rebecca Chambers and after some nice tea time we had gotten down to business as she ran and I gave chase.

Once I returned, I had continued my search for a way out and after a few hours of searching I found nothing, however just when I was about to call it a day, I had caught sight of an infected for the first time since my arrival in this realm.

Following the infected I had arrived at the far east south of the parks central area. The infected seemed to be drawn there as it stumbled past some bushes and into a small river bank that had leaves and branches covering one part of it.

The Infected made it's way to that part and started to claw at it with its rotting hands while groaning.

Why? Isn't that just debris from a fallen tree? So why is it clawing at it so hungrily?

Unless...

Unless it picked up the scent of Living Blood!

But it could also just be a dead animal inhabiting that tree before it's fall.

On the off chance that it is human blood then...

I must investigate.

Just as I was about to head towards the infected and the suspicious tree, those damn legs appeared and brought me away to another realm, one encompassed by a Slaughterhouse of some kind...

I should be mad at that thing but I am glad that it brought me here as I got to meet an old friend, Ada Wong along with The Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine.

But they were unimportant as their time shall come when I deem it.

No what truly intrigued me was the specimen dressed weirdly but mysteriously. He had strength, agility and reflexes on par with the best Tyrants and able to lift a 6'3, 230lbs human into the air with little to no strain at all from a single punch.

Now this will be interesting...

As I stood observing his little battle with one of the Killers, I noticed that he was just playing around with his attacker and that he looked to be done with their little game as he ended it with a single flick to his opponents spine, effectively paralyzing him.

Just when he was about to leave, as if sensing my presence he turned and looked straight into my eyes. In that moment I could actually feel some sort of pressure on my shoulders, it started to weigh me down but I held firm as I am not weak minded.

He disconnected our contest for dominance as he gazed into the direction Chris and Jill were located at and back to me. He turned back around and started to walk away.

I was about to make my move and follow him from a distance but paused as my instincts went on overdrive and I step to the side, just managing to dodge some sort of projectile that embedded into the tree behind me.

I stared at the kunai knife and felt a drop of sweat fall down my chin from the heat welling up in my body from slight fear as I had managed to dodge that with just a small margin of success thanks to my enhanced body.

If I wasn't enhanced, I would be dead.

This changes everything. As well as his Threat Level.

All I could think about at that moment having felt fear for the first time in a long time was...

'...What a Monster...'
