Zi Yichen was already tired dilly-dallying time with her, he was in a hurry to go back home "what exactly brings you here Kun Feng? I had received your message from before where you said you were coming to take back what belongs to you? by any chance is that why you are here?"
"it was just one at first but now it seems to be more than one item of mine that you have in your possession" Lu Yao Yin replied straightly
she knew!
Zi Yichen's face darkened a little. He thought she might not have known of the blueprint but her statement just confirmed it to him.
He thought the girl was talking about the bird and also about the blueprint, whereas the girl was talking about the blueprint and himself! She meant he belonged to her as well as the blueprint.
"You might have to specify cause I have a lot in my possession that might be yours"
Lu Yao Yin held her chin contemplatively "I think so too" now that she looked at it he did had a lot that belonged to her in his possession, first the bird, the blueprint, himself and even that wrist watch that was casually placed on the table. Seeing how he still had the watch, it showed he had been expecting to see her again like she had said when she gave him the wrist watch.
"What exactly do you want with that blueprint?" he was tired of her ambiguous answers so he asked straightforwardly.
Hearing the blueprint, a serious glint flashed past her eyes but it disappeared just like it came cause the next second she looked playful like she initially was, especially as she said "you want to know?"
Zi Yichen didn't say anything, he kept quiet and watched her speak.
"actually it's an essential part of my revenge plan" as she started the guy paid more focus with furrowed brows "I need to keep it out of the reach of my adopted daughter so that I can focus all my attention on fighting against her"
"your adopted daughter? the new head of Chaos?"
She nodded "I'm sure you must have heard that I was dead, actually she tried to kill me but I escaped but she doesn't know that so I plan to revenge against her" Lu Yao Yin did not feel awkward telling him all this, to her she was just telling her boyfriend what happened to her although she purposely omitted the part that she had reincarnated, until he figures out that it was her, she wasn't going to tell him.
But Zi Yichen felt suspicious, he felt it was weird that she had readily told him something that massive, that was her secret revenge plan yet she has disclosed it to him? instead it felt suspicious and so he didn't believe her. His first thought was that she was lying cause she didn't want to tell him why she really needed the blueprint.
She might as well have known of the coordinates for all anybody knows_ or might even be greedily wanting to build the machine on the blueprint. They had just gotten united today so he couldn't fully trust whatever she says.
"what if I told you that I had destroyed it?" he inquired.
Lu Yao Yin paused a little bit, she could see that he was trying to test her "that is not a bad idea, burning it might just have been the best way to keep it hidden from the world completely" She replied sincerely.
'which was she talking of? the blueprint or the Coordinates?' he asked himself.
before he could say anything her voice rang out again "anyway I trust you, whatsoever you did to the blueprint I'm sure you would keep it from entering into the world, my father dedicated most of his life searching for the blueprint cause he was afraid it would cause a stir in the world. i must fulfill his last wishes"
I trust you?
her words rang continuously in his ears, he was struck by the genuine trust that accompanied the words when she said it, He could really feel the trust she had in him and it made him feel complicated.
How was she supposed to trust someone she met for the first day after many years? wasn't she afraid that he might have bad motives?
Her other words made Zi Yichen furrowed his brows even more, there must be something massive wherever those coordinates leads to. He doesn't believe that her father would follow around the blueprint all because he wanted to hide the machine drawn on it.
"it's late already, I should be on my way don't you think Lord Gremlin?" she asked cornily. It sounded like she was waiting for him to give her a reason to stay.
"suite yourself" Zi Yichen answered her coldly, he wasn't interested in fanning her fantasies.
Lu Yao Yin clicked her tongue "shouldn't you be asking the beautiful lady to stay?"
"we don't have any business together so why should I make you stay?" Zi Yichen asked indifferently.
"We could make rekindling the old flames our business or don't you think? I for one would love to start from where we left off" she leaned on the table again and brought her face closer to his.
Zi yichen tactical increased the space between the two of them. He folded his hands in his chest and gave her an uninterested look.
"There's nothing to rekindle. You shouldn't waste your time having such imaginations"
"Imaginations?" She chuckled then gently stood up. Messing with him was fun but she had to leave, she wanted to make sure she got home before he does, besides she was felt exhausted already, she had not even had to rest after returning from her trip.
She tapped her finger on the table and smiled "it was nice speaking to you. I should get going. Don't miss me too much, I'll be back" Like a bat she disappeared from the window the same way she arrived.
Zi Yichen stood up and walked to the window, he looked outside but there was no sign of her figure in the dead of the night, it was as if she had disappeared into thin air. A glint flashed past his eyes.
Seeing her again was something he had waited for but now he wasn't sure about this reunion. Should he trust her or not? He practically didn't know anything about her now. She might just be the most dangerous person on Earth for all he knows.
He could investigate her but there was no where to find out about her, she was no longer the Leader of chaos nor did he know the new identity she had assumed. Investigating her would be like Investigating a ghost.
With one last glance, he turned and walked back into the room, grabbed his jacket and turned off the light.
"Boss you're leaving?" Ah Chen asked as they saw him walk out.
"Stay here tonight. Guard the mountain. No one gets in or out" He couldn't trust everything she said. What if she came back at night to raid the place. He would have stayed himself too but a certain bunny was coming back today, he missed her and couldn't wait to see her.
"okay Boss"
Zi Yichen gave him a few more instructions and walked off. His phone in his hands and his finger constantly clicking on the dialer, yet after every ring the person on the other side didn't pick the phone.
How could Lu Yao yin had picked up when she was currently on her bike speeding through town to get home.
On getting home, she decided to head to Herr place directly. If she was to stopped at his place, he would end up finding out that she had not been home.
Once she was back, she took her bath and went off to bed. She didn't plan to drift off to sleep immediately but it seemed she was more tired than she knew.
Zi Yichen arrived later that night. His butler told him she had been looking for him earlier so he hurriedly freshened up and went to see her in her place. He didn't have a problem walking into her house without permission, he knew her passcode and thankfully those two pest where no where to be found so there was no one stopping him.
The girl was fast asleep in her room to even notice that someone had walked in.
How much he missed that face. She had been on a trip for days and he had not been able to see her. His tight schedule didn't even give him the chance to even video call her. They spoke on the phone just a few times but it was no where enough for him.
He slipped himself into bed gently and wrapped his arms around the sleeping beauty. A smile flashed across Lu Yao Yin's face, she turned and burrowed herself in his arms. He smiled too and placed a light peck on her forehead.
like that the two lovebirds went off to sleep feeling peaceful and accomplished. Not giving a care to the world.
