In a VIP room of an exotic restaurant, some business men sat down discussing business with a heavy atmosphere amongst them
"Mr Zi this issue have been pending for a long time, we can't possibly keep pushing it aside or we'll face a lot of setbacks" one of the formally dressed men said.
"The situation in City Z is getting worse day by day, the economy is plummetting in milliseconds"
"It's not just City Z...City Y, X, C, A and everyother surrounding cities are facing the same problem, this is definitely an uprising" A young man announced but whispered the last part to Zi yichen, the young man was no other than Ah Chen, he was one of the board director of G-x corps and also Lord Gremlin right hand man so he naturally attended the meeting, the other board director were here for mainly business but He and Ah Han were here for a different reason.
"Yes but it's our branches are taking the hit most, it seems like one of our business enemies is targeting us"
"but who could it be?"
Zi yichen quietly listened to them speak while sipping the glass of wine in his hand with a lit cigarette between his fingers, the ash plate in front of him showed the numerous heads of the already burnt down cigarette. He was listening to them but his mind kept drifting away
"do you think it's DxD corps, their new CEO seems vicious?" a middle aged man amoung the directors said and the expression of everybody around him dropped, most of them knew that Zi yichen and Lu yao yin were close friends so he would most likely retaliate to this statement, some tried sending the middle age man a warning gaze but he couldn't just get it
"She did say she was going to go after her rival so is this it?" The man thoughtlessly continued speaking.
All their attention moved from the man to Zi yichen and just as they thought, he was looking at the middle aged man with a dark expression on his face, then he suddenly chuckled
"Director Quan seems to be good at prejudicing people"
"Mr Zi_"
Zi yichen cut him off "G-x and DxD are allies so you should mind what you say"
"I apologise for my thoughtless words" He apologized but rather insincerely
"Your thoughtless words could cost your life" Zi yichen voice was stone cold, it triggered fear in the heart of the man and the listening directors
"I've greatly wronged CEO Zi, please I apologise, accept this drink as a token of my apology" The middle aged Director signalled a waitress to pour another glass of wine for Zi yichen
It's either luck was not just smiling on the director or he was being punished by Karma cause his little gesture of apology turned out to be a dreadful catastrophic moment

"get some sleep it isn't good for children to stay wait up late" Lu yao yin said as she tucked Zi zhiyan to bed
Immediately she got back from the rang she ditched Si Lu te and Jin fengju at her house and went next door to meet Zi yichen. On arriving there she was told by the butler that Zi yichen had gone for a business meet and would soon be back. She met the little girl in the sitting room and decided to keep the girl company while she waited for him.
It's been hours and the sky had turned pitch black but he still wasn't back. It was almost midnight, the child had grown tired waiting that she began dozing, it took a lot of effort for Lu yao yin to urge her into going to sleep first
She stepped out of the child room and saw the Butler standing there anxiously
"Butler Chen what's wrong?" his anxious face made her grow anxious little by little
"ma'am it's boss!" The butler said worriedly
"boss? you mean Zi yichen?!" Her anxiousness intensified when she heard his name
~back in the VIP room, a great commotion had happened and the Director had tension written on their faces. Director Quan was in a more difficult position cause the commotion had started from his 'token of apology'.
No one knew if it was intentional or accidental but the waitress asked to pour drink for Zi yichen had grazed her hand over Zi yichen palm. For the first time in their life they had witnessed Zi yichen repulsion for a ladies touch, before now there were rumors that he repulsed being touched by ladies but no body believed it they thought it was just people trying to make him look like a cold-hearted man devoid of human feeling, they rumors where even more unfounded when he became close to Lu yao yin but who would have known they would see him in this state to night.
"I'm waiting" His cold hostile voice sounded in all their ears reminding them of his heartless request.
After the lady touched him, he had scrubbed his hands till it was stained with blood, the lady was frightened seeing his reaction and continuously begged him for forgiveness, when everyone thought he wouldn't be to hard on her he opened his lips and asked her to cut off her hand that had touched him.
They couldn't believe their ear, despite the girls pitiful tears and begging he was still insistent on her leaving her hand behind, no matter how they thought he was being heartless none of them had to guts to tell him, even Director Quan that had asked the lady to pour the drink completely stayed out of the issue.
"pl...please for...give me," the girl cried deeply but Zi yichen was no where near touched, He was going to repeat his order but the door suddenly flew open
Everybody attention turned to the door and most pray that whosoever was coming in would be their saving grace.
Lu yao yin walked into the room then closed the door behind her, she inspected the atmosphere in the room and it was just like the butler had told her. The butler had informed her of the situation and pleaded that she go bring him back
She threw her thoughts to the back of her head and walked to the table, walking past the kneeling girl.
"what are you doing?" her voice showed how angry she was
He lifted his eyes and when he saw her standing he seemed surprised, he thought he was hallucinating her being there and talking to him, so he chuckled and brought his head back down.
Lu yao yin frowned when she saw that he ignored her, she didn't know what was going through his head so she thought he was angry at her, She squatted and turned his face to look at her with her finger
an uproar broke in everybody's heart, She had actually touched him!, they imagined the scene that happened when that waiter touched him replaying itself but there was nothing of such
"if you want to throw a tantrum then do so without hurting yourself, look you're hand if bleeding so what have you gained" as she nagged at him she began cleaning his bleeding hand with the first aid kit she had brought along with her. she frowned when she saw the damage he had brought to himself, there were deep scratches at the back of one hand and the other had a couple of broken nails from how hard he used them to scrub
His eyes followed all her movement intently without blinking cause he felt she might disappear if he blinked his eyes, His hand moved to touch her cheeks but she slapped it back down and continued her work, when she was done she cleaning she hand his hand with a piece of gauze then stood up. Her heart ached when she saw his blank eyes, she wondered how much he had drank to get him to this state.
"get up, we're leaving" she told him then turned to the directors.
"sorry to interrupt but this meeting is over" She stated firmly then left with Zi yichen following behind her.
The driver was already waiting so they boarded the car and drove away, the ride back home was unusually quiet, Lu yao yin totally ignored him cause she didn't want to speak to him while she was till angry, He too stayed quiet
