"miss_" Ah Chen was shocked when he saw Lu yao yin standing in front of the door.
"is your boss in?" she asked even when she knew the answer.
"um..." He wasn't the kind of person to lie but now he was conflicted on what to say, he knew Zi yichen wouldn't want Lu yao yin to be here at a time like this, but there was no how Lu yao yin would believe that Zi yichen wasn't in the office.
"it's not that hard to answer. I know he's inside so tell him I'm here"
she turned her back and waited for Ah Chen to go back inside and tell Zi yichen that she was here. He went in and in the next minute he came back outside with an awkward expression.
"miss our boss is quite busy, can you visit some other time?"
Zi yichen busy? it was not unbelievable but what was, was that he refused to see her. this was someone that cleared up a whole week schedule just to spend some time with her so how could he suddenly go 360
She pushed the poor Ah Chen out of the way and he was like a flying paper that didn't stand any chance before her, just like she thought, as she walked into the room Zi yichen was seated with a dark expression on his face, there were thin layer of cold sweat on his forehead and his skin pale white.
The rest of them moved to attack her but Zi yichen stopped them before they could.
"Lu yao yin_" she cut him off angrily
"don't speak or you'll piss me off the more"
He chuckled when he saw how she was fuming, He knew she was worried so he swallowed all his discomfort and walked towards her
"who made you this angry?" He asked cheekily, lifting her chin with his fingers
She slapped the finger away "one night you drink yourself to stupor, then the next morning you wake up and then lock yourself up buried in a sea of work, you really don't think of your health do you?"
"you really are angry with me but there's no need to, you don't see me sick right?" He lifted her chin up again and truly when she looked at him he really wasn't looking sick or tired anymore he looked just like he did on regular days but that didn't mean she believed him
"I really am_" he was going to reassure her that he was fine but his nose suddenly started bleeding and he staggered backwards
"Zi yichen!"
"boss!"
Everybody rushed forward including Lu yao yin, she caught his falling body and stationed him on the chair. as she hurriedly free him from his tight clothes she noticed that his back was soaked with sweat, His skin was cold and his face had become pale as paper, he. He was obviously going through a lot of pain but was holding himself from showing it.
"Zi yichen" she called his name several times and although he furrowed his brows momentarily he still couldn't respond
"quick let's get him to the hospital"
Through the special elevator they were able to transport him from his office down to the garage without anybody noticing.
Vroom!!
A green Ferrari roared loudly as it dashed madly in front of the city hospital, nurses and doctors were already stationed at the entrance like they have been pre-informed.
"Miss I'm Dr Gao, i am his personal doctor so you don't have to worry" an elderly man introduced himself to Lu yao yin as they rolled Zi yichen into the emergency room
"I'm not worried cause I'll break this hospital into bits if anything goes wrong"
The man was frightened when he heard her words, looking at her stern face reminded him of Zi yichen. He wondered how he got stuck with such fierce patients
"uh...sure" He answered fearfully and scurried away, just as he left, Ah Chen, Ah Han and the rest came running into the hospital. They had initially driven Zi yichen in a limo but Lu yao yin sped up and snatched him from them,
in their whole life they haven't seen anyone drive like her, Her drive as fast as lightening and it's looked like her vehicle was floating above the ground. because of how fast she drove she had gotten to the hospital 20 minutes earlier than them.
"whe...where is...is he?" One of them asked while trying to catch his breath, she didn't bother to look at him neither did she answer. She walked past him towards a open window and dug out a pack of cigarettes from her pocket then lit one
"Who do you think you are?!" the man finally caught his breath and walked up to her angrily.
They were all close confident of Zi yichen but apart from Ah Chen and Ah Han none of the other men knew who she was so just like this man they had misgiving about her attitude. Ah Chen and Ah Han tried to stop him but they were to late,
"What if something had happened to Boss when you snatched him from us? how could you have taken responsi_" the man couldn't finish his statement as she had directly knocked him to the ground with a leg to his chest. the man felt like all his internet organ had been shattered with just that kick, a line of blood fond itself flowing out of the man mouth, Lu yao yin didn't hold back her strength well so she had really injured him
"anyone else has something to say?" Her fierce look swarmed through the crowd and everyone subconsciously took step back including gremlin right-hand men.
This was the atmosphere Dr Gao met when he walked out of the emergency, he had almost hurried back in but her eyes landed on him and he had no other choice but to walk forward
"Mr Zi is awake, do you want to see him now or till we transfer him to the VIP ward?" He asked cautiously as he didn't want to be the next bleeding out of his mouth
"move him"
The Old man hurried back into the room as per her order and few minutes later Zi yichen was rolled out by some doctors and nurses, He was still very weak and could not walk on his own so he had to be carried, as he passed them he noticed Lu yao yin looking out a window totally unfaltered by his passing by or maybe she was avoiding looking at him cause she was angry.
"miss he has been moved" The doctor came back and informed her
"His condition?" Her scary look was gone and now a hint of worry laced her eyes as she asked him
"He was poisoned when he was little so ever since then his liver hasn't been really good, that why he passes out ever time he drinks or smokes heavily" He paused to see if she was following then continued "He seemed to have consumed a lot of alcohol and cigarettes some days back and although he was going through pain because of it, he managed to hide it and stop himself from passing out. The the overload from that and how he had been overworking himself must have made him to started bleeding from his nose but he should be fine as long as he obediently stay in bed and rest for a long period of time"
she assimilated everything he said and wordlessly followed him to where Zi yichen was. the initially rowdy room turned to a grave yard as soon as she walked in, everybody scurried to the side making way for her to pass through.
Lu yao yin sat on a couch close to the bed Zi yichen laid on and out of everyone expectation she lit another cigarette and began smoking indifferently
Dr Gao was surprised but shocked all the more, he just told her that the man couldn't stand alcohol and cigarettes cause of his weak liver but here she was smoking right in front of the patient
Did she want him to die?
"miss you can't do that, you could affect his health" although he was afraid of her he still had to protect his patient
Lu yao yin smiled but the smile didn't reach her eyes, instead it made her look more scary and angry. Her next words were totally unexpected by all of them
"it's okay, He doesn't value his life...then I'll help him die..." they were shocked but what followed shocked them even more
"and follow him to the underworld and force him back to life"
