Chapter 23 - Our Bond Is Pure..

Celestia's POV:

Father Oberon looked overthrown. He wasn't frantic anymore. I don't understand why my father refuses to acknowledge the fact that Theo is a great warrior. He consistently portrays him as the evildoer.

Why does he hate Theo very much? Theo also doesn't like my father. He constantly describes my father as a lame King. Why are they both always at each other's throats?

What can I do when my lover and my father hate each other? Their vengeance is driving me to insanity.

Finally, my father looked up at Theo, who was a foot taller than him.

" Silver Shadow," he grunted, " You took away the one thing which was so important to me. You can't get away with it."

He then fixed his eyes on me. " And you are not my daughter anymore. I am disinheriting you," he declared.

I couldn't believe what he just said to me.

"Father," I cried. " What are you saying?"

"Don't call me that ever again. You are a stranger to me. You are never going to be the dawn who is supposed to be the protector of this realm. I am ashamed to even look at you right now."

I was unable to stop my tears. I never thought he would be this much harsh to me. Until yesterday, I was his favorite daughter. But now he is ashamed of me!

"Father, please trust me. I am still the Dawn. Theo and I together will save this kingdom from the dark forces. Just give us a chance to prove ourselves," I explained myself.

"That is never going to happen," he shouted. "I don't want you and your filthy Incubus to stay in my realm. I am banishing you from the Highlands. If you ever step on this land again, I will curse you ."

I had a hard time believing that it was my father who was saying those words. Is he banishing me from my place of birth?

"Father, please," I sobbed. "I grew up here. You can't banish me from my motherland! I am supposed to be here to protect my people. Who is going to train the Fathomless warrior if I weren't here? Who is going to fulfill the prophecy if you banish me?"

My father shrugged off. " You are not capable of fulfilling the prophecy, Celestia. Things would have been different if you were not oath-bound to this half-breed. Now he is going to make you one of his lovers along with his other Siren lady lovers."

I shook my head. "No, Father. Theo is not just my lover. We both are more than that! Our bond is pure, and we both complete each other. If you just give us one chance, We will prove our worth to you."

He started chuckling at my justification. " I would instead give a chance to the Mage girl Ember. She has a stronger Psychic Shield than you. You can't even resist your temptations of this Incubus. So you are not worthy of being the Dawn! All my efforts on raising you have gone useless."

I have never felt hurt this much. All my teardrops that fell from my eyes were now a pile of pearls on the ground. I have never cried this much longer!

Theo wrapped his arms around me and tried to comfort me. Today even his charms were not enough to make me feel better.

"Calm down, my love. I am here for you," he whispered in my ear. I buried my face on his shoulder.

Theo faced my father and said, " We are leaving for now. But one day, we are going to be the rulers of this realm. Get ready to face that day."

And that was it! We both disintegrated in white fumes of air.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Theo and I were now in the forest of light. But I still couldn't stop crying. I wasn't able to forget what my father said. He said that I am not his daughter anymore!
"Stop crying, my love. I am here for you," Theo said. "Just look at me, Celestia."
I stared at his eyes. "We will get through this together. You are not alone in this grief. When you cry, I feel your sadness too."
His words made me calm down a bit. I was still in pain, but I wasn't crying anymore.
"Listen to me, my sweetness. I have the Ivory crown. This is an advantage to us. Oberon wouldn't be able to sit on his throne without it. He wouldn't visit his kingdom without his crown."
"Theo," I paused. " I don't want revenge against my father. I just want his love back."
His fingers were playing with my hair. "Celestia, my love. Your father won't understand your worth until you show it to him. You can only prove your worth if you become the Queen and eradicate Lilith."
I breathed out. " So I would have to battle against my father and defeat him to prove my worth?"
"Exactly, my sweetness. He will not acknowledge you until he gets to know what you are capable of doing. And I will help you with it. I am going to train you myself, and very soon, you are going to unleash your inner angelic powers."
Can he help me with unleashing my angelic powers? That seems like a significant promise. My thoughts made him chuckle.
"My Sweetness, do you know why I am invincible? It is because of my Angelic powers. That is why I am able to do things beyond everyone's knowledge—and I am able to do it just by drinking a drop of Angel's blood. But you have a vial of Angel's blood in you. You are capable of doing things even I can't do."
Darius told me the same thing about my powers. Now that Theo said the same thing to me, I am starting to believe that I am powerful. But why is it too hard for me to believe that? Till now, all I was able to yield was my Fae powers.
Theo was patiently reading my mind. " Celestia, you were not able to yield your powers because you were trained by people who didn't understand your powers. Only I can understand what you really are."
I smiled at him. I have faith that if I have him by my side, I can do anything!
