The air in the atmosphere of the vicinity is filled with blood lust as Akatsuki and the Demon Lord stared daggers into the other. The Demon Lord had a silver monocle on his right eye and he was dressed in a Victorian style tuxedo with a red undershirt. Around his shoulder is a black cloak with a red interior. His skin is as pale as death. As he smiles sharp white canine could be seen protruding out of his mouth. Now this is a real Dracula in every sense of the word fashion!
"So I heard that you're a Demon Lord. What are you doing at our Nameless joint in the middle of nowhere?" Akatsuki was the first to break the ice. Even before a Demon Lord he was speaking with a crude manner and smiling ever so mockingly. "That thing behind you is the one I have business with." "Ah this thing." "Let me go already!" Since this Demon Lord is of a vampire lineage he must have been related to this highborn of Eden(lol).
"Move out of the way." "And if I say no?" Inaba and Shirayukihime who has been watching this whole development held their breaths as if any slight outside interference could set off the two ticking time bombs before them. One is a vampire Demon Lord while the other is a monster from another world. Their only similarity is their monstrous strength. Normally one would think that the Demon Lord would come out on top in this fight, but after seeing the monster known as Kurogami Akatsuki in action they really couldn't tell. Who will make the first move? The tension in the Nameless Circle's manor has reached the boiling point.
""Ha."" Suddenly an unexpected noise escaped out of the two monsters. They're laughing...? Seeing this bewildering action Inaba and Shirayukihime sweats profusely. It's the end of the world. We're doomed. We're so doomed! The two continuously laughed without reason as they closed in on the other step by step as if this was a countdown. As they were mere inches apart staring into the other's eyes they stopped laughing altogether and pulled their fists back.
"I said get out of the way!" "Go to hell!" It was as if a hurricane blown through the manor's front entrance when the fists of the two monsters collided! Inaba blocked her face as Shirayukihime did the same. Theia who was still restraint in her chair was knocked back flat.
"Ahn?" "Oh?" Perhaps surprised by how a human boy could withstand his strength the Demon Lord widens his eyes. But the look of surprise only lasted a moment before he lowers his fist.
"Looks like you're not just some weakling from a Nameless Circle." "As expected of a Demon Lord you put up a better fight than King Arthur even though he was like 7 meters tall." "Hmph." "So what exactly did you want coming to this Nameless Circle?" "Theia Alucard Vermilion Dracular." The air freezes as Theia was called up to stand. The ropes binding her had been cut off by an invisible blade of the wind.
"Uuu..." The Demon Lord approaches Theia as she steps back slightly similar to a frightened animal.
"Why is it that I'm being chased by monsters left and right today...?" "Return back to the Upper Garden with me." "I-..." Seemly hesitant to answer Theia lowers her head.
"Oi is this guy supposed to be a lolicon?" Hearing that insult the Demon Lord turns around to face Akatsuki with a vicious red glare. "That's rather rude of you human." "Hahaha! Pathetic if that's how you're going to reply back. Though you didn't really deny it." "This girl here is my little sister. Isn't it fine for an older brother to dote on her and for her to be returned back to the family?" "Ahn? Screw you I won a game against her so she's my property at the moment." "Y-Yes she's caused quite a bit of problems for our Circle!" Inaba dared to stab into the conversation but she immediately became a statue when the Demon Lord turned his eyes to meet hers.
"How much?" Ah I see since he cannot act like a savage he wants to settle this with money. Akatsuki read the Demon Lord before him like a book. As a noble bloodline they cannot act in disgrace that is unfitting of a highborn of Eden. They probably didn't want the news to get out that Theia who is of such a noble birth lost in a game against a human so they were paying to have the Nameless keep their mouths shut.
"How about I make this easier for the both of us?" "How?" "Let's have a game to settle this." "A-Akatsuki-san!" "This boy's insane..." Was this night ever going to end? First he arrives into Eden like a comet. Next he wins a game with a high wager. Now he's going to challenge a Demon Lord? How much trouble was this human boy going to cause in one day?
"So you're wagering my little sister?" "Of course. And you need to wager something of equal value as well." A sharp glint flashes in Akatsuki's golden eyes. It was the flashing eyes of a beast aiming for a high prize.
"Hmm..." The Demon Lord pauses and thinks for a moment. After about a five minute wait he gives his reply.
"Very well my wager shall be-" "Wait." Akatsuki stops the Demon Lord from answering as he thrusts his hand out.
"You see our Circle is quite bad off. So I would be pleased if you can make up a list of valuables that you have and let us pick from the list." He was aiming for maximum profit! Realizing the value of Theia Akatsuki was going to do everything he can to profit as much as possible!
"Tch." "Didn't you say that an older brother should dote on their little sister?" "Fine have it your way. But since the sun's about to rise we shall hold the game off till tomorrow.
I'll give you one day to prepare." The Demon Lord conjures up a parchment and snatched it out of the air and passed it to Akatsuki.
"Demon Lord Alistair Alucard Vermilion Dracular. I look forward to this game that we'll be playing. Now then shall I see you off?" "No need." Alistair turns into a black vortex of sharp darkness and left the Nameless's manor. In the place where he stood white gloves were left behind which are picked up by Akatsuki.
"Heh old fashion isn't he?" Throwing down white gloves at a person meant something similar to the letter of challenge.
"Akatsuki-san can we win?" "Nah." "..............Eh..............?" The answer was instant as Inaba asked. Akatsuki admitted to it that they couldn't win.
"We can't win." His expression is serious.
"I didn't think that this human would be that foolish..." Theia reprimands Akatsuki for his foolishness. Her voice didn't hold a mocking tone but rather it was a weak voice with no will backing it up.
"Who cares? We lose, we lose. I'll still try my best to put up a good fight. But against that thing I'd be dreaming if I said I had a 100% chance at winning." "What are our chances then?" Shirayukihime asked concerned.
"...Less than 10%." "..." Why did Kurogami Akatsuki took up a challenge that he couldn't win?
"Aaaaah what do we do!?!?" Inaba screams in frustration as she ruffles her light purple hair into a mess.
"I'm gotta sleep then worry about it when I wake up." "Sounds good. I need a nap too." Akatsuki and Shirayukihime got ready to leave for their rooms as they headed in different directions.
"Wait everyone?" Was she perhaps the only one that is panicking? "Inaba-san it's Akatsuki if it's him he'll think of something to minimize our losses even if we don't win." "Ah..." Shirayukihime had put her complete trust into Akatsuki's scheme.
"...I guess we can only pray now..."
