CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE
Jason went to a quiet corner in the backyard of the motel away from the music that was playing in reception/bar and Alyssa's siblings' voices from the end of the hall.
He needed to call someone and he couldn't exactly call John on his new iphone since he doesn't have his number and he wasn't in the mood to explain to Naya why he was keeping off from coming back home without letting her know about Chike.
It was funny that he rather let her believe he was angry at her behavior than tell her the truth and risk her life and possibly criminal investigation If Chike was into a shady thing when he was stabbed. It was his cross to bear and he will do it alone.
Jason wondered how Alyssa knew about Nolani and the only explanation that came to mind was Thokozani. He wasn't exactly sure whether he should be mad at him or relieved he let Alyssa know that one of the Children in his grandmother's orphanage was sick.
