Chapter hundred and ninety two
Jackson watched his daughter and she reminded him of a girl he used to know. Mckenna didn't want his money but some answers to some questions. And somehow one of those questions was whether he loved her mother.
"Did you love mom?" Mckenna asked again.
There was a pause before he answered "Your mother might be the only woman I truly loved. When she died, it broke me"
Mckenna had promised herself that she wouldn't cry but there, she was trying to break her promise. Jackson had confirmed a suspicion she didn't like.
"You mean when she died giving birth to your child! She was just a kid herself for crying out loud! She was my age.... seventeen!" Mckenna yelled at him.
Jackson hated that she was drawing attention to them.
