The man with the earphone looked up in surprise, wondering if he had heard wrong.
"Mr Halliwell Sir, is that really necessary?" He asked. Charlie White was a tall guy standing at 6'2 with arms like tree trunks. In his early years, he had been a member of MI5, he remembered clearly during his interview being asked if he would be able to shoot someone point-blank and he had looked at the interviewer straight in the eye and said 'yes'.
Although he stepped down from MI5 many years ago, it hadn't changed what he believed in and he was still as tough as nails, for he quickly rose through the ranks and became the Head of Callaghan Enterprise's Second Security Team.
But looking at it now, he wasn't so sure anymore.
Those people were already badly injured from the car crash, they couldn't even stand up, and killing them would be like taking candy from a baby. The young Master was found alive and well. What would be the point of killing them?
Toby Halliwell stopped dead on his track and almost laughed as if it was the funniest thing he'd heard all day, "Mr White, if by 'necessary' you mean to kill the people who kidnapped the young Master then 'yes' is your answer."
Looking at the two men, one woman and one girl, it was hard for Charlie to imagine them doing any kidnapping. They looked like tree-huggers, not dissimilar to the ones seen in the Faslane Peace Camp protesting against the deployment of Nuclear Weapons.
But unfortunately, an order was an order. The Callaghan Enterprise paid good money, triple of what other firms paid. He had heard of what happened to Luke Chalmer's team, it was a shame because Luke was a decent guy, looked after his staff well, but unless he wanted his team to end up with the same fate, he'd better not make any mistakes.
He motioned his second-in-command over and gave out his order. They didn't need that many people here to watch, it was going to be easier than killing four tied-up rabbits.
I watched from the distance and saw the group of men getting into their SUVs, then one by one the cars started to leave.
For a moment there, I thought with relief that they were going to leave us alone.
Until the last two men walked towards us.
Once they were close up, they took out their guns and pointed at Colin and my father.
They were going to kill us! I thought in fear.
As they pulled the trigger, I immediately threw my body in front of them, hoping to block the bullets.
With my eyes shut, I landed heavily on my left shoulder, felt my humerus bone shattering in the process. There was a loud 'thud' noise as if something fell onto the floor.
The pain was excruciating and I waited for other parts of my body to feel more pain to come but none came.
I reopened my eyes and lying in front of me was a brown coloured werewolf.
It was Julien!
He laid on the ground whimpering in pain, warm blood oozed out of the two bullet entry points on his body.
He had been shot! He used his body as a shield to protect me!
Fat tears streamed down my cheeks as I crawled over to him. Unable to speak, all I could do was nudge my head against his fur coat.
Then I heard loud angry growling noises and saw three werewolves pounce on the two men, attempting to rip off their heads and limbs.
It was Hazel, Elijah and Owen! They all came back to save us!
The men were well trained, even in their startled state they still managed to quickly regain their composure and pointed their guns at them and fired in quick successions.
Hazel and Elijah were hit.
Owen, who was the largest in size, bared his sharp teeth and gnawed at the two men, his long claws tearing into their flesh before he was also shot dead in the chest and landed in a heap on the floor.
The smell of gun smoke and blood filled the air...
I felt myself scream but no sounds came out.
Dark red blood gushed out of the necks of the two men, just like the colour of mulled wine. Their jugular veins had been completely severed and moments later, their bodies started to go into shock. It was a slow and painful death.
Tears blurred my vision, lying around me were dead bodies everywhere.
It was all my fault they were now dead.
The rain started to pour from the sky as if the heavens had opened, like a sacred cleansing ritual, the blood washed off of the bodies and little red streams ran beneath them before all merging together forming one big river of red.
I have never seen so much blood before, it even stained the ground red.
"Aria..." I heard my father's voice.
"Dad!" I cried, frantically crawling over to him, "Dad!"
"It's ok, Aria...I'm here..."

I sat on the hospital bed with my left arm in a sling, my wounds had been cleaned and treated by the A&E doctor before they transferred me up to the receiving ward.
My room in the ward was surprisingly airy and spacious, it even had an en-suite bathroom with showering facilities. On my left was a nice big window, the bright warm sun rays shined through enveloping my entire bed but I couldn't feel any of its warmth, my hands and feet remained icy cold.
It didn't seem that long ago when I was sat on the ground, watching my father and Uncle Colin limping around in the heavy rain with a pained expression on their faces as they dug up graves with their bare hands. No words spoke between them as they carried out the task of burying Julien, Elijah, Owen, Hazel and Selena.
Selena too had been shot. It must've been from back when she dived down to protect me in the back of the truck. She'd lost too much blood.
I could no longer tell if it was rain or tears that were running down my face now. Over the space of less than 24hours, I had lost five members of my closest family and friends. All those people have died because of me, all because I had been a stupid foolish idiot. Selena was right, I should've never had brought that injured werewolf back. If I hadn't done that, then they would have all still been alive.
My eyes welled up again, I didn't even think I could cry this much, I thought my tears had run dry.
The sound of the door knocking pulled me back to reality, I quickly wiped my eyes and looked up to see who it was.
Smiling at me was the nurse who had come in to check on me earlier. She had been very kind to me, offering me a cup of tea and reassuring me that my father and uncle were doing well recovering in the rooms next door. She also said once the Consultant does the rounds later this afternoon, we might be able to get discharged and go home.
