I was in a coma for two days and after that, I was laying in a hospital bed for a week as a recovery precaution, I have never been so bored in my life, I think. So anyway, after the whole volleyball fiasco, I have been instructed to be on the bench for some time to avoid any further damage or rather any latent injury that may or may not open up. I was escorted out of the hospital in a wheelchair, not to be a narcissist but I could get used to a king's life.
My parents video called me every day sometimes twice a day. They live in Scottsdale, Arizona along with my brother.
Ryder and I lived together in an apartment not too far from the University of St.Ann's, the college we study at, we are sophomores by the way.
After another week of bed rest, I was finally allowed to move out of the house. So the first thing I did was go to the volleyball court and warmed up. Lectures, you mean nothing to me!
After a while of warmup and some drills, I started to practice my jumps.
"Look at you jumping around like everything is normal." Said a voice in the background.
"What are you talking about? Everything's perfect" I replied.
"When you see one of your players fall down the way you did, you'll be able to comprehend what I'm talking about." The voice said.
"What the frack? Who is talking as if they lost someone on a battlefield...." I say while turning around and after I did, I wish I hadn't said the last sentence...
"Go on. I dare you to complete that sentence." He says.
I turn around and lock eyes with the person talking. "Hey... there, Coach Mo....rris, I was just gonna... I mean on my... I was coming to meet you." I say stammering.
"I am sure u were. Aren't u supposed to be in class?" He replied assertively
"Abo....ut that..." I tried to come up with an answer.
"Atlas?"
"Yeah?"
"Shut up! Do me a favor and get your ass to class." He said.
"But...." I tried to negotiate.
"I don't wanna hear another word out of you. Now, if you aren't in class by the time I am done with my work, you are going to be benched today."
I was about to say something...
"I'm not kidding and this is not up for a debate if Mr.Sandhill tells me you're not in class it's gonna be a bench-warming day for you, got that?
"Ughh, fine." I leave and head to class. I reach class and Mr.Sandhill notices me
"Well well well, look what we have here if it isn't Mr. Atlas Logia"
"Adohoil," I say saluting him.
"It's Mr.Sandhill to you. Take a seat." He replied, angrily.
I don't reply, no sassy comment, anything. Just quietly go and take a seat. This is going to be amazing!
"How are you feeling?" Asked the girl beside me. You know with my past lessons I would have learned to look left and right, and observe the people next to, or around me, but no my narcissistic mind just cannot fathom the idea of seeing the faces around me. OK!... Moving on... I turn to the left of me to see a girl with dark-colored hair, an ear-piercing and two on the other ear, a nose piercing, and dressed up in all black from head to toe.
"Hey, I remember you. You're Aurora's cousin... was it Alisa or Asiya?" I replied asking.
"It's Aliase!" She replied.
"Oh, how could I forget? According to you, I was your first kiss, although I have no recollection of it whatsoever." I added
"Oh shut the fuck up!" She said chuckling.
"Quiet down! the both of you. Atlas do u really wanna be sent to the headmaster's office on your first day back?" Mr.Sandhill said scolding the both of us.
I took a moment to pause and a flashback appeared of Coach Morris scolding me. I got shivers down my back.
"Not a chance in hell!" I replied after remembering.
