Chapter 5 - Chapter four

As I wandered the street I couldn't help but notice how great the weather was, I honestly wish I could say the same about myself right now, I raised my face to the sky letting the gentle but radiant glow of the early morning sun bathe me, I took in a breath of fresh air and let out a tiny smile, since I was little I was always taught to appreciate the little things in life, thinking about my childhood made me almost tear up but I pushed the feeling aside, then the sudden sound of a car honking brought me out of my little bubble, an angry driver with a funny looking mustache pocked his head out of the window "GET THE FUCK OFF THE ROAD!!" he said while raising his fist in the air, I didn't even realize I was no longer standing on the side walk instead I was standing in front of the angry man's car. I gingerly stepped aside and gave him an apology which he just brushed aside and drove away, "grumpy much" I rolled my eyes and walked off.

Something caught the corner of my eyes, a building, actually it was a thrift shop, this is exactly what I was looking for, I could actually find something useful in there. I entered the building, seated was a guy with caramel skin, whose eyes seemed almost too big for his face, he had a skinny but tall frame and his shirt was tightly tucked inside his khakis and let me not get started with his hair, he had wild black curls that stuck out everywhere, it made me wonder if it has been acquainted with a brush before. As I approached him he took his eyes off his phone looked at me from my head to my toes then returned to whatever he was doing.

"what do you want" he said at the same time he let out a gush of air, poor kid he looks like he has a million better things to do than sit here, but I'll be glad to trade with him anytime. I scanned the rack of clothes for anything that will do, thankfully my eyes caught on a thick red sweatshirt and a dark blue jean that looks like my exact size, it was at the corner of the room near a door which I hoped was the bathroom, I faced the guy "where's the bathroom?" without taking his eyes off the phone he asked,

"let me get this straight you didn't come here to buy anything?" I nodded "yes" he rolled his eyes and lazily pointed to the door by his left, bingo "thanks" I told him as I walked away, in a swift motion I grabbed the shirt followed by the jeans without being caught, well that was easy I thought, i closed the door then entered a stall did my business when I was done I washed my hands, face, legs, arms, underarms, then rinsed my mouth with water, I threw my dirty cloth into a nearby trash can then, did my hair into a high pony tail. I exited the bathroom with hopes that his attention will still be on his phone doing god knows what, thankfully luck was on my side today, I closed the door lightly behind me, "come on Leah you can't back down now" I muttered to myself, I cleaned the little bids of sweat the had formed on my forehead and adjusted the sleeves of the shirt, then made the best poker face I could and walked out as casually without even looking in his direction, I let out the breath I was holding as soon as I exited the shop, I couldn't believe I made it out in one piece, I honestly thought I would be tackled down by an angry looking bipolar teenager, I looked at the guy through the window he probably still thinks I'm in the bathroom, sorry kid but this is coming out of your pay cheque I grinned and walked away.
