It has been almost a week since Ashe ran away from his town. Although his agreement with Dewei, the older childhood neighbour he met on his first day in Acheron, was for him to stay in Acheron for only three days, it was postponed due to the demand in the elder's job. He has been living with Dewei since the day they met. The elder has been so generous to him, touring him around the city and giving him a few notes and reminders every now and then on his first day in town. He also met a few childhood neighbours, who also ran from home just like him and Dewei, and are now living in Acheron since the time they escaped Calla.
It is really not that hard to identify them, with their raven hair with few electric blue streaks. Not to mention their unusual yet mesmerising hazel brown eyes, with the left of it having a flash of a light shade of green. It might be unusual to others, but he grew up familiar with those features. And only 𝘩𝘪𝘴 appearance was the most unusual in their town, which he frequently asks of when he was a child, worrying that he might be just an outsiders' child. He looked different than most people he grew up seeing.
Both of his eyes were hazel brown too yet instead of a flash of a light shade of green, his was a flash of that of an electric blue, the colour of the natural streaks on his parents' hair, totally different from his parents' and the rest of their people's eyes and his hair though also raven, has a few natural silverish grey streaks instead of electric blue. "𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭." he remembered his mom telling him that sentence every time he asks about why his appearance was different compared to the rest of their town. And all he could do was to believe that his town considered his existence a whole miracle for their kind. No one in their town could bear an offspring yet Ashe was conceived and delivered to the world healthy and strong. Ashe Aero Lynx was the village's gem until he decided to run away.
"𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝗲?" he heard Dewei asked, pulling him from his thoughts. The elder invited him to experience the nightlife, it is already the weekend and Dewei was stressed from work and says he needs to loosen up. Ashe agreed, more to the reason that he's bored and that he wanted to study people closer, also as suggested by Dewei. "𝗬𝗲𝘀. 𝗜'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝘄." he replied.
He got out of the bathroom afterward. "𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲." The older man praised his choice of clothes. He is wearing a thin white round neck loose shirt under a shiny black leather jacket and a black skinny ripped jeans combined with a pair of black combat boots and finished off with a few accessories such as a simple string necklace that has a small sapphire stone as its pendant and a couple of beaded bracelets on his right wrist, one made of sapphires the other made of opals, and a knitted wooden bracelet on his left. "𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗶𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳." he threw the praise back smiling. Dewei is wearing a pickle green hooded multi-pocket jacket over a loose oversized shirt of the same colour paired with denim inside out slim-leg jeans and a pair of retro high shoes. He is also wearing accessories to finish off his look. A simple string necklace, just like the one Ashe is wearing but instead of a small sapphire stone, he has an aquamarine stone as the necklace's pendant, and a chain necklace. The older chuckled at the praise as he ushered the younger out of his apartment and on the way to where he parked his old pickup truck.
They drove around, with Dewei behind the wheels, the night was chilly for a summer night, the wind's scent promising a little drizzle later into the night. They reached the club the older one was talking about. Written in a neat tribal font illuminated by neon lights is the name of the club, 𝔈𝔫𝔦𝔤𝔪𝔞. Dewei said he is a regular here that most of the staff knows him by now since he always goes here to unwind after a stressful week at work. And that was proven real when they arrived at the entrance of the club and the bouncer greeted the older using first name basis. They were also allowed to get inside without having to stand in line anymore.
The club is stuffed. Today being Friday may also be one of the reasons the club is almost full to the brim. Walking around, looking for a spot they can settle in, Ashe noticed the number of different scents lingering around. His head is starting to ache from the mix of new scents he is not yet acquainted with. Although the club is fully air-conditioned, he noticed the warmth and humidity that is solely high around the clearing by the middle of the club used as the dance floor. They settled in a table by the corner with a clear view of the dance floor yet far enough that the music was not as loud there as it is by the dance floor.
The older stood up from his seat making the taller look up at him with questioning eyes. "𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀. 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸. 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝘁." Dewei said before walking straight to the bar counter. He averted his eyes to the dance floor and started observing the people dancing around and taking notes of his observations.
The music changed and everyone on the dance floor screamed and cheered. A few more from the sides went to the dance floor while hooting and cheering too. He thought that the 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦, as Dewei worded it, might already be starting. Loud cheers accompanied by the booming music surrounded the place alongside drunk people grinding on each other on the dance floor while others were already about to puke while manoeuvring to the restrooms. Ashe is observing them all, just like he planned, over the alcoholic drink in his hand. He wanted to learn everything he could and he wanted them as soon as possible.
