Agba stood as the apprentice yelled the Warlords name and screamed NO! at the same time. Marcas young charge had turned against him and this was not in Agbas plan at all. If the apprentice killed the Warlord, he would assume his position and then Agba would have to start all over again. This wild card was ruining everything. Jarron was as good as dead, Scylla would certainly kill Agassiz for the betrayal and would give her all to kill Rajnos to protect her young and while they were deep in battle, Agba would simply stroll up, outnumbering them 6 to 1. He was banking on that with Marcas newly found hatred for Scylla, he would continue to try and kill her instead of saving himself. Hell he might even let Scylla live if Marca managed not to kill her, and keep her prisoner to raise his son. But now the apprentice was challenging the Warlord and that just could not happen. Agba motioned to his own small band of followers and as one they moved out of the shade into the sun and began to move down the beach to the drama being played out before them.
As he ran towards the Warlord, Ciylo heard Evil's voice in his head yet again. "Turn around Ciylo, death is behind you, not in front," she whispered. He slowed to a stop and turned, the sun glaring in his eyes even with the shade of the screen in his mask. He made out about 12 figures all running full speed towards him and recognized Agba at the front. He cursed to himself finally figuring the whole situation out. Agba had planned this but didn't account for him being there and now that he had decided to kill the Warlord, Agba was after him as well. Ciylo turned and again screamed at Rajnos, who now paid him no mind at all, but Agassiz did turn around again. Her orange eyes grew wide and then she too yelled at the Warlord. What happened next felt like it was in slow motion to Ciylo.
