As Polemos was having his fun time in Vektors sanctuary, Secat and Hevit had already left the Grey Keepers headquarters and were both inside the top floor of the Mercenary Guilds, guild leaders office.
Secat had a calm yet scary look in her burnt orange-red eyes as she looked across the desk at the pale and weary face of Drakeraz. Gerg stood behind him with both of his arms wrapped in fresh bandages as they were slung across his chest. Hevit stood next to Secat with a small but angry smirk on her face as her eye shone with a building fury.
"I dare you to say that again Drakeraz, I dare you to lie to my face again when the proof is literally standing behind you with not one but two broken and useless arms." Secat spoke in an eerie yet calm voice that hid the rising fury of what Drakeraz just said and spoke of.
Drakeraz frowned when he heard Seact as he shifted his eyes between both her and Hevit. He took a deep breath as he slowly released it and spoke with no doubt in his voice.
"I have no idea what you're talking about Secat."
The armrest on Secats chair cracked slightly from the grip she had as she slightly lost control of her strength. Hevit even emitted a heavy and dense aura of Mana throughout the entire room as her smirk turned to a threatening smile.
"You really think all the hard work we accomplished during that mission is supposed to be given to the damn Academy. They did nothing and we even have them on a Recording Crystal allowing us to keep whatever we found on our own." Hevit increased her pressure slightly when she mentioned the Academy. "Besides they are nothing, but a bunch of spineless cowards who sit on their asses all day long and stroke their own egos."
"He wasn't referring to the mission Hevit, this tiny lizard did something rather stupid and had the Golden Army Sentinels follow after Polemos, Rose, and I yesterday when we went to meet the Head Cryptkeeper of the Grey Keepers. I know they were hired by Gerg as you personally wouldn't lower yourself to hire them." Secat spoke with fire in her voice as she continued. "Plus, Gergs arms were just fine yesterday. Did Kazzy visit last night? She seemed rather strong for a bright and cheerful girl." She mocked as she stood to her feet with a dissatisfied look in her eyes.
Hevit was shocked when she heard that it wasn't about the recent ruin they had explored as they found many useful and unique items as well as knowledge from it.
But Drakeraz and Gergs eyes narrowed when Secat mentioned Kazzy as she did visit late last night and caused quite a disturbance. They were just barely able to get the whole mess cleaned earlier this morning. But Secat was able to notice the changes in both of them as she laughed in a dark manner.
"So I'll ask again what is your piss poor of an excuse as to why you had the Golden Army Sentinels follow after us yesterday, and don't lie to me either as I'm not in the mood for your shit right now Drakeraz." She put her hands on his desk as she leaned forward slightly.
"Like I said previously I have no idea what-."
A loud crack and snapping sound echoed in his office as Secat punched a hole through his desk making spiderweb cracks form all across the desk.
"Fine then, but I promise this you tiny insignificant lizard. If you do it again I won't hesitate to kick your ass as well as break it. I know you had us followed and I'll definitely find out why. We're leaving Hevit." She took one last look in Drakerazs eyes before she turned around and left. She even kicked the door off its hinges as she left his office.
While Hevit made the building shake slightly with each step she took, even leaving behind small yet deep imprints as she left.
When they had left the guild Drakeraz was standing at the window watching them as they left.
"I thought you hired one of the better groups from the Golden Army Sentinels, Gerg." He spoke with a slight weakness in his voice that he kept hidden from Secat.
"I did, but how was I supposed to know that the one I thought was going to lead the mission left before it even began." Gerg responded with a slight worry in his voice. "But what are we going to do about Secat, she is known to get whatever she's after regardless of the circumstances."
Drakeraz sighed with reluctance when he heard Gerg mention Secat. He had stopped looking at the departing figures of both Secat and Hevit.
"The best we can do is deny everything about what had happened and hope she won't find out why. But if anything we need to make sure Polemos doesn't find out about what we did, I feel like I've poked something I shouldn't have but yet." A deep and possessive look entered his eyes as he spoke with desire.
"Why does a Five-Poison Giant Centipede belong to that walking corpse? Rather than someone like me. Why, why, tell me why does it have to be him and not I?" He started to lose himself a little, showing his true hidden side that only Gerg and Gelu the Head Cryptkeeper knew about.
Gerg had a painful look spread across his scared face as he spoke. "Because he simply got lucky Drakeraz and besides if you honestly wanted it, you could easily kill him couldn't you?"
"No I can't, not now anymore. You weren't here when Kazzy first arrived, it already had me pinned to the wall saying it was under orders from its master to ask why I sent four lost lambs to follow after the master's disciple." Then he shook with disgust. "It even called that walking corpse as it's best friend."
Gerg also had a disgusted expression on his face as he listened and heard Drakeraz speak of how a monster like Kazzy was best friends with Polemos. That and he couldn't understand why Polemos was ok with it.
"Did you say-," Gerg was interrupted before he was able to finish by an angry and pissed Drakeraz.
"I had no choice!! That damned monster nearly crushed my neck as I was pinned to the wall!!" He spoke with venom and rage as he spat. "Ever since that damn walking corpse arrived in ourKnowledge Oasis things have started to change. I feel like something is laughing at our misery."
(A white hooded, tuxedo wearing God with a red tie sneezes and rubs his head. "Is someone cursing me, how, that shouldn't be possible? Oh well.")
"Besides it'll only be a matter of time before Gelu tells Polemos what had happened and the whole thing comes tumbling on top of our heads." Drakeraz spoke with a look of cunning in his eyes as he looked at Gerg. "We need to make as many plans and contingency plans for when that happens. So get healed as quickly as you can as I don't know how long we have until that day arrives and we are dead in the ground." He finished as a crazed look took hold.
Gerg could only nod his head, but inwardly he was sighing with reluctance and disappointment from his guild leaders attitude and current situation.
...
"Hevit, head back to the encampment and give Vul this journal and have her read it over, this'll be an important upgrade for our Burnt Lioness. Read through it when you can and you'll understand what I mean." Secat tossed Hevit a worn journal as she continued. "I'm off to ask Gelu a quick question. I should be back before the first moon rises."
Hevit nodded her head as she caught the journal as it quickly disappeared in her spatial ring. "Have fun and remember we have a feast tonight, ha ha ha!!!"
Secat smiled as Hevit reminded her that Polemos would be making another feast as she headed back to the Grey Keepers headquarters for some answers.
...
Polemos was currently rubbing Rose's head as she hissed with glee as he had been rubbing her head for a while which had made Rose's day so far.
"You are taking this information rather well Polemos, I thought you'd be furious or angry with Drakeraz?" Gelu spoke with interest as she continued to watch Polemos rub Rose's head as he seemed to be in a rather joyous mood.
"Furious, angry, now why would I be. I just learned what species my partner Rose is. That's joyous news to me but, why would I be upset at a child's tantrum."
Polemos wasn't lying when he said he was happy as he just learned that Rose was a Five-Poison Giant Centipede! He couldn't have been happier as it was something he had been looking for, for quite a while.
"But, don't worry Drakeraz will have his due the same as Gerg and everyone else who was involved, Death will always have her due. But currently right now, I'm nowhere ready enough to make that due date quicker. Besides I have knowledge, techniques, and strength that needs increasing. Death will be known in this oasis." He calmly spoke as he listened to Rose hiss in glee. "Plus I have something that needs to be taken care of before I take care of Drakeraz and his idiocy. I have some Gods Piss shits that need to pay back a friend of mine."
Polemos smiled devilishly as he mentioned Gods Piss.
'Will have another crypt as soon as I'm done with them.'
