Polemos easily made it back to the room he was previously in as he was looking over the 'list' that Gelu had handed him. He was still quite surprised when he looked at the amount of books that she had recommended him to study and learn. He even started to mumble some of the titles of the books.
"Mana Basics and fundamentals, What is Mana, Versatility of Mana and it's works, Misconceptions of Mana, Mana Control and flow…." Polemos continued to mumble the titles of the books Gelu had recommended as he entered the room he was previously in.
He was still mumbling the names of the books as he entered the room but had to stop as he had bumped into something. He thought it was one of the tables until he heard a calm yet powerful voice.
"Why is there a country bumpkin casually strolling and mumbling about in my presence. You even had the gall to bump into myself and not even apologize, truly a bumpkin, without manners."
Polemos frowned as he looked up to see an individual in front of him wearing a dark grey robe with a deep hood that hid their face. He silently put away the list as he small smile formed on his face as he looked into the darkness of the individual's hood.
"Well for one, you're the moronic edge lord who saw me casually strolling and mumbling about without having any decency to move aside. If you would have done that then I wouldn't have had the 'gall' to even bump into you. And as an apology your either high, drunk, or stupid, or all three thinking that's gonna happen, as it's your fault for not moving aside. So please, piss off your edge lordness, you're taking away precious time from me learning and advancing my strength."
Polemos didn't even wait for a reply or answer as the moment he finished he brushed past the individual as he was in a little hurry to get and learn everything he could about Mana.
Sergezt stood seething in anger as he slowly turned around and spoke in a dark and threatening tone.
"I dare you to say-" he couldn't even finish his threat as Polemos stopped and turned around with a bright and devilish smile on his face as he cheerfully mocked the individual.
"Moronic, high, drunk, stupid, edge lord dumbass who doesn't even have the gall to move aside when they see someone reading a list and not paying attention." He even lifted his hand and acted like his hand was a crank machine and flipped him off. He acted surprised and was even shocked by what came from it.
"Well would you look at that, such an amazing present. Now again, piss off and be edgy someplace else. I have more important things to do instead of entertaining your edge lordness."
Sergezt was furious as a thought to crush his skull entered his mind as he watched Polemos once again turn around and leave.
'You dare turn your back to me!!!'
Sergezt seemed to appear behind Polemos as he grabbed the back of his head and slammed it into a thick wooden table cracking it! He then continued to smash Polemos's head into the table, cracking it further and further until the table finally gave out and broke.
Polemos's face was covered in blood, his nose was bent, and by some form of luck or something his teeth didn't break. Splinters of wood covered his face, making him look like a bloodied splintered doll.
'That's…a…strong…and…sturdy…table.' Polemos groaned in pain as he internalized each word. 'Well at least my skull somehow isn't broken, that's a plus.'
Sergezt frowned when he heard the groan like breathing from Polemos as he was shocked that he wasn't able to crush or make his skull into meat paste. He increased the strength of his grip as he thought to crush his skull like a grape.
But before he could try to crush his skull further he heard an aged and callous voice that made him release his grip on Polemos's skull. Making him fall to the floor.
"That's enough Sergezt, you already broke one of my tables and disturbed the peacefulness of my sanctuary. Even making a mess of something so small and insignificant. If I were you I would have killed him, instead of trying to smash his face in and by the look of it you've only bent his nose." An old man with only sockets where his eyes should be stood before Sergezt.
"Oh and then why did you stop me, I was just about to crush his skull. So, step aside, Vektor." Sergezt lifted his hand until he felt a cold and ghastly grasp around his neck! He looked up from inside his hood as he saw the empty voids that were Vektors eyes looking at him. "What do you!?!?"
He felt the ghastly hands grasp around his neck tighten as he felt a nauseous and dreadful feeling start to spread and seep into his body. He felt his strength being drained as well.
"What am I doing? Well discipling a child who doesn't listen, that's what I'm doing, Sergezt. You seemed to forget yourself and your place. Now I'll only keep my Ghostly Walkers Grasp around your neck for a full minute. Until then stand there. Oh, and you might wanna see someone to get rid of the after effects as they can be pretty ghastly."
Sergezts blood red eyes were trembling in rage and fear as he had heard terrifying tales of Vektor and his use and knowledge when it came the spell Mages Hand. When he was focused on Vektor, Polemos had positioned himself to a sitting position.
The moment a minute hit Vektor released Sergezt.
Sergezt stood as he glared into the abyss of Vektors eyes before he spoke in a weak but determined voice.
"I'll make sure you suffer someday for this Vektor!" Then glared into the bloodied face of Polemos. "And for you bumpkin you'll suffer hell for your stupidity." He took one last look at Vektor and left but before he could take a step he heard a pained and cold voice from behind.
"Been there already, they liked me so much that they decided to share me with another world, that world didn't like me and sent me back here. Try a better threat, your edge lordness." He grabbed the edge of a nearby table as he rose to his feet. "Besides, you seem to be the cowardly and fearful type since you attacked me from behind."
Sergezt nearly tripped when he heard Polemos as he coughed up blackish blood from the curse left behind from Vektors, Ghostly Walkers Grasp. He shakily walked out of the room as he headed for the closest healing area. Leaving a blackened blood as he shakily left.
"Thank you, Vektor. Who knew he was touchy with names and seems as if he has half a brain cell less than I. You must be the person my Master, Gelu said was waiting for me. I'm Polemos, sorry for the late and well, bloody introduction." Polemos smiled a thankful and bloody smile as he thanked Vektor.
"Yes, the new Keeper and disciple of Gelu that brat, she really picked up an interesting one. I've been informed you have a list for me correct. And there's no need to thank me. I would have let him kill you if he hadn't decided to do so in my sanctuary." Vektor replied with an impatient and dark voice. "Now as you said before I have more interesting things to do than entertain you."
Polemos shook his head as a small book appeared in his hand and handed it over to Vektor. "True, besides it is quite the sanctuary, I was in here before and it was quite peaceful and relaxing."
When Vektor felt a small book in his hand he frowned as he was told that he would be bringing a list and not a book. "That damned brat, she told me that it was a list not a small book. Follow me, it seems I have to add more than what she had asked me previously." He spoke begrudgingly as he turned around and moved through his sanctuary with ease.
Polemos was both nervous and confused when he heard Vektor say that Gelu had already had more previously prepared.
"Wait, she had more than what was already in the book?"
"Are your ears not working, yes she had me gather some last night." Vektor spat as he reached a massive desk with piles and piles of books stacked on top of it. He waved to all the books on the desk. "Here's what I have already picked out, now sit in the chair and try not to cause chaos in my sanctuary again. Do so again and I'll make sure you'll never feel pleasure again."
Polemos shivered when he heard Vektors threat, then looked at the stacked mountains of books as he sat in a chair and decided to pull some of the splinters from his face.
Polemos waited for what felt like an hour before Vektor returned.
"Well at least you seem to listen unlike Sergezt. Here, all the new books are in there, now take these books and put them away." He spoke as he tossed a ring over to Polemos.
Polemos caught the ring as he smiled, as he looked inside he wasn't surprised when he saw piles upon piles of books. Then waved his hand making all the books on Vektors desk disappear.
"Thanks again Vektor, and what level of spell was your Ghastly Walkers Grasp and is it possible to learn it." Polemos asked as he looked into Vektors void filled eyes.
Vektor laughed as he heard Polemos's question.
"It's a Soldier level spell close to becoming a War level spell. And no, it's a custom spell of my own design. But if you want to do things similar to it or like it, learn Mages Hand. It's usefulness is undervalued in my opinion. Now go and leave my sanctuary, the next time you want to gain access you better be prepared to spend a souls worth of contribution points."
Polemos smiled as he nodded his head before he turned around and left.
'I have a lot of things to catch up on, it seems like I'll have to read the ones about Mana Washing the brain and its effects, as this is a lot of information to break down and comprehend.' He thought as he couldn't help his excitement from growing from all the new things he was finally going to learn.
"And, Sergezt, I'll make sure you permanently need to wear a damn hood since you like them so much. I wonder if it's possible to skin his face down to his skull and keep him alive somehow, maybe one of the books might have something on it. If not then I'll ask Gelu or Secat."
Polemos spoke out loud as he walked the halls of the crypts.
