"Before we all loosen ourselves up with a spar would you both like to take some of your anger out on this poor, poor Elder." Gelu asked as she led them to her special training area.
"Gladly." Polemos spoke as a dark smile spread across his face.
Secat didn't hesitate as her fist flashed as she uppercutted Elder Bones with a vicious smile on her face. She didn't use any Mana, only her raw strength. Elder Bones was hit so hard that he actually left the ground as Secats fist dug deep into his face. Teeth and blood flew out of Elder Bones mouth as he didn't even make a sound. He may not have but, his jaw definitely did as you could hear it shatter. He fell sprawled eagle with a thud, while his lower jaw hung loosely.
"Nice shot." Gelu spoke with a satisfied look in her eyes. " And you my disciple?"
"Beautiful indeed. I'll wait till we reach our destination, I don't want to dirty the hall." Polemos spoke as he was looking at Secat as she was very satisfied with punching Elder Bones face in. "Could you drag the poor Elder, Rose please."
Rose hissed as she stabbed Elder Bones with her forcipules and started to drag him along the hall, hissing with glee the entire way.
Polemos smiled as he spoke up speaking to Gelu. "May I ask if I can take his brain as a snack for Rose. I've seemed to notice that eating the brain or heart of a strong individual has increased her strength. But when she eats the brain of a strong individual her intelligence gains a small or decent increase."
Gelu didn't turn around as she laughed coldly. "You've just become my disciple and you're already asking for things. Sure I only need his soul not his brain, I'll also give you his heart. It's quite a special one since he used a certain technique on it. We also have many other types of brains or hearts in our material deposit also, but those you'll have to earn with contributions. You may be my disciple but, I won't be giving everything to you for free otherwise how would you possibly grow."
Even though Elder Bones jaw was shattered and his face smashed in, he wasn't unconscious. He heard everything Gelu and Polemos spoke about. But he never made a noise as he knew just how ruthless and cruel Gelu was.
Secat was shocked to hear what Gelu spoke of and couldn't help but ask her. "What did you mean when you said you have many other types of brains and hearts?"
"We are a mausoleum, we had many bodies of powerful people buried here. We respectfully bury the dead and give them their rites but as for the ones who have committed acts against us we show no quarter." Gelu spoke with pride as she continued. "We do our best to not kill the innocent unless the circumstances are meant to be. Death is something that comes for all, we may not wish for it but she doesn't care, she gets her due. We may not like how it happens but we carry out our duty as Grey Keepers."
Secat was surprised to hear what Gelu said as she hadn't expected that answer. She nodded her head with a very small smile as she thought. 'At least they try not to kill the innocent.' She glanced to look at Elder Bones as she couldn't help but ask another question.
"Since you probably know, I have a very acute sense for types of Mana. I noticed when we entered that you had many evil, demonic, and vile forms of Mana-." She couldn't finish as Gelu raised her slim hand as a dark blue and a cold shard of ice formed above her hand.
"Yes, we do know of your acute sense of Mana. We have many who joined with many different forms of Mana but we also have those who have nature, light, and divine even who have joined us. Just because you have an affinity for a dark or vile Mana it doesn't mean your evil. I've seen those who've wielded Darkonics Evil Mana and been a saint helping everyone he could. While I've seen those from the Holy Light Church who perpetuate holiness as the most vile and cruel individuals. I've seen their Bishops massacre innocents all to kill a single person." She spoke with a neutral and patient voice as she slowly twisted her wrist as she made the dark blue and cold shard of ice to spin slowly as it chipped away forming a beautiful dark blue lily.
Secat was amazed by the flower while Polemos just smiled as he made a note of it. Gelu lowered her hand as the lily slowly dispersed into mist as she spoke up.
"We've arrived."
She stopped in front of a solid black door that had gold formed cracks all along its structure. She touched the door as the gold cracks glowed brightly as they started to slide open showing the shape and jagged edges.
The room was clean with some type of metal along the entire wall of the room while the floor was a dark wooden floor. It was a simple room. The room was able to fit all of them in with room to spare.
Polemos had already grabbed Edler Bones from Rose as he started to drag him to a corner of the room, he already had his dagger in hand.
"You know all you had to do was ask for her name or do what everyone else does when they meet her. But no, you had to be that ass and act all mysterious and for that I'll take your ears. And for your tongue well it's because you've made me upset and I know that sounds petty but again you were an ass." Polemos sighed as he grabbed the side of Elder Bones ear and placed his dagger underneath it. "At least he won't scream like the others."
With a quick swipe he removed one of Elder Bones ears and he was right he didn't even make a sound or groan. Polemos did the same for his other ear then proceeded to grab his tongue with his hand as he pulled it out. He didn't even bother to use the dagger.
"Ah well that was satisfying." Polemos spoke as he cleaned his hand with a water spell. "Well now we can spar, so how do you wanna go at it Secat." He smiled as he started to crack his neck and knuckles.
Secat smiled as she walked to the center of the room as she spoke. "No spells or weapons I'll be seeing how your hand to hand combat is." She cracked her neck also to loosen herself up.
"Shit. Well now I understand why I felt all those chills run up and down my damn spine. Well like I said before no pain no gain then."
Polemos was already preparing himself to have his ass handed to him. He knew he wasn't that good at hand to hand combat, what monster kills beasts sometimes taller than building with their fist.
Secat laughed when she heard Polemos's response as she started to slowly swing and stretched her arms. "Don't worry I'm not gonna kill ya. I might break or fracture your bones though if you're not properly protecting yourself."
Gelu chimed in, adding to Polemos's dread.
"Don't worry you don't need to hold back, we have Keepers who are quite proficient at mending and fixing broken bones of all kinds. Besides, like I said I'm not a soft master, a few broken bones shouldn't matter or stop you if you wish to be strong. Plus I liked the saying 'what, no pain, no gain'." She spoke in a kind and teaching manner.
Rose even seemed to agree with them as she hissed and nodded her head up and down.
"Hisssss."
Polemos couldn't believe what just happened as he looked at Rose. "Really, even you too and master come on I'm still human, having broken bones is still gonna hurt." He looked over at his master, Gelu who only responded by nodding her head as she responded.
"Yes, very true but, didn't you see how the poor Elder over there had his face smashed in and jaw shattered, he didn't even scream in pain. Sure you can get used to pain but, there will be things that'll cause you to feel pain no matter what. Plus you are the master of your own body so master it and don't let it control you."
Secat smiled as she looked over to Polemos. "I'll let you know now, I'm a huge eater." She then readied herself in a boxing style stance.
Polemos shook his head as readied himself for what was to come as he spoke up and took a boxing style stance also. "Well that shouldn't be a problem, Rose is the same, she has a huge appetite. So let's get this started!" He smiled near the end until he saw Secat vanish then he noticed a fist enter his field of vision.
He barely was able to put a guard up and brace himself before he felt his bones creek in pain as he slid back a couple meters.
"Wow, good block but minus points for barely putting one up, and minus two more points for not being prepared at all times, and also for looking at my ass. You should always be prepared as your opponent will never wait for you." Secat's orange-red eyes glowed before she vanished again.
Polemos focused on his match as he saw a leg coming straight to the side of his head!
