Chapter 39 - Information

But Jar-roll didn't even hear Polemos as he passed out from the sheer amount of pain he was in. Polemos didn't mind as he grabbed Elder Spears' spear and put it away into his necklace and pulled out his heavy axe, gripping it hard, as he slowly lifted it and and drove his axe right into Jar-roll's skull as blood, bone chips, and gray matter flowed out and splattered over Polemos's face as he grinned a devil-like smile as he finally felt something as he started to laugh and mocked Jar-roll.

"Such a stupid man, the only thing waiting for you is and endless darkness nothing more nothing less enjoy its embrace."

Polemos yanked the axe that was in Jar-roll's split skull as bone chips, blood, and chunks of brain splattered across the tent as blood started to pool under his head. Polemos then waved his heavy axe trying to get the blood off it, then wiped the remaining blood off using Jar-rolls clothes, and then he put it back into his belt. Then Polemos did the same for his throwing harpoon.

"Well that was fun, now let's look around this tent and see what I can take since he won't be needing it anymore." Polemos said aloud to himself as he started searching around Jar-rolls tent to see what he could possibly sell and use for himself, but other than a couple journals there really wasn't anything that had any value. Then Polemos started to search Jar-roll's body to see if he had anything on him and to his surprise he was able to find a ring in a pouch tied to his belt. When Polemos saw the ring he let out an unamused sigh.

"Great, another damn ring can't anyone think of anything other than a damn spatial ring." Then he let out another defeated sigh. "I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up, well at least I got another ring for free, yay." Polemos just shook his head but, when he looked what was inside the ring his left eye started to twitch.

As for what he saw was a ring that was filled with silver and only silver.

'Just how many people did they have to sell to get that much silver Gods, I guess I shouldn't really be all that surprised. This is 'The Banished World' where we do whatever to survive, regardless of what it is.' Polemos just shook his head as he started to count the silver in the ring.

"Damn at least I know if I need money I'll just need to rob or kill anybody in the slave trade as it looks like they indeed have money." Polemos was surprised as Jar-roll had 500 gold worth of silver in his ring. Then he took one last look at Jar-roll's split face.

"I'll let you keep those daggers as they were your kids, just think of it as a final farewell gift from me. Thanks for the silver I'll put it to good use." Polemos then stood to his feet as he walked over to the washbasin to clean the blood and brain matter off his face.

But when Polemos was cleaning his face he felt like someone was watching him as he went to reach for his axe to defend himself but when he heard the thunder-like voice speak he stopped.

"Weren't you supposed to inform me before you started to cause your chaos, Polemos. Well at least it was me who decided to check in on Jar-roll as he was late for a meeting with Mesakyle and Alayah." Captain just crossed his arms across his chest as he looked at Polemos as he continued to clean and wash his face. Then he looked over toward the mangled corpse of Jar-roll as he shivered slightly. "Brutal."

When Polemos heard what Captain asked he chuckled a little as he dried his face. "Well to be honest I forgot as when I did say I would inform you my mind was in chaos and I couldn't really remember what happened after everything went dark, so sorry." Then he pointed to the corpse. "That's nowhere near brutal, that's light if anything I can show you brutal after I take care of Ashern. That's gonna be brutal if anything, let's just say it'll be hard to recognize his corpse when I'm done with him." Polemos spoke in a calm and steady tone as he looked towards Captain.

Captain shuddered as he looked at Jar-rolls corpse again. 'If he thinks this is light then I don't know if I want to see what his definition of brutal is.' Captain shuddered again as he looked at Polemos again.

"So what can I do for ya Captain?" Polemos had a slight smile on his face as he asked.

"Well can you at least tell me who's next so I can be better prepared when I tell Mesakyle that parts of his inner circle are being killed by the Cursed Devil of the tribe. It'll make things easier. So if you don't mind telling me who you plan on killing next cause I can help with information."

Polemos was a little surprised at Captains proposal as if he had any information it would greatly help make things easier. "I'll be taking out Alayah next and why isn't Ashern at the meeting? He's a part of Mesaklyes inner circle right. Plus what's in it for you?" Polemos had a questioning look in his purple eyes as he asked Captain as he was wondering why Captain wanted to help him.

Captain just shrugged his shoulders as he answered. "Simple, I want to be the new tribe leader. Mesakyle is starting to lose his edge plus he's leading the tribe in a horrible direction."

"Well you're not wrong there." Polemos agreed as he nodded his head in agreement.

Then Captain continued.

"And yeah Ashern is a part of his inner circle but he has been preoccupied with his so called play time to care about anything else, and if you plan on taking out Alayah then as a heads up she has heavily guarded herself with some slaves that never leave her side. Plus as to give you a heads up since you wanted a challenge I've started to train Alyan in physical combat but, I doubt it'll be much help as he's very much a coward when it comes to combat."

The information Captain gave Polemos was great as it was definitely what he needed in order to properly be prepared when he went to kill off the remaining members. But when Captain mentioned Asherns play time as well as him training Alyan in physical combat he was surprised and confused.

"Play time?" Polemos asked in a very confused tone.

Captain had a blank expression on his marred face as he shrugged as he had no idea what Ashern meant by play time. "When I sent Alyan to grab him for training he came back saying he was indulging himself in his play time and didn't explain."

Polemos only nodded his head. "Well that's interesting plus does Alayah think by surrounding herself with protection will do her any good. I'll still kill her in the end plus if anything killing the slaves would be a relief for them and thanks for trying to make things interesting for me."Polemos smiled.

"No problem, just when you decide to kill Mesakyle let me know as I'll definitely help when it happens as he is definitely stronger than you at the moment. Plus I would love to see his face when I betray him." Captain smiled an ugly smile with his marred face which made him look like a demon.

Polemos laughed when he heard what Captain said as it would be of great help when the time came to kill Mesakyle. "Gladly, you got yourself a deal Captain, his expression will be a great thing to see and welcome. When it's all over I'll make sure to treat you to an amazing feast afterwards before I leave."

When Captain heard that Polemos would make a great feast he was a little surprised but would gladly welcome it since it would be a great way to end everything.

"A feast would be great as a final goodbye. I'll make sure to bring some wine to go along with the feast." Captain laughed and agreed with Polemos but when he saw Polemos shake his head he was a little confused.

"The feast won't be my final farewell. My final goodbye will be when and how I kill Alyan as it'll be quite a sight to see." Polemos had a very solemn look on his face when he said his final farewell will be when he kills Alyan.

When, Captain saw his expression he couldn't help but ask what he meant. "What do you mean by a sight to see Polemos if you don't mind me asking?"

Polemos had a small smile on his face when, Captain asked what he had planned but he only shook his head and started to leave the tent. But before he left the tent he spoke and headed out.

"Let's just say it'll be a bloody sight to see. See yeah Captain."
